How to start your habits the fun and easy way using challenges
Reading books and watching videos only get you so far. They give you knowledge but don't help you take action.
In this video, I go over the main problem I encountered when trying to start habits, how I fixed it, and a simple idea for you to implement.
You also get a quick behind-the-scenes of my community, where we run fun and engaging challenges to take action on your goals.
We take a look at the 5 day habit challenge.
It's simple, if you want to start a habit, we start small, and we do it together.

In this video, I discuss the effectiveness of a popular book on habits and address two main problems: lack of accountability and boredom. I share my personal experience and introduce a five-day challenge that can help solve these issues. The challenge allows participants to accumulate five days of a specific habit and offers a promotion system for progression. Joining challenges or communities can provide structure and time pressure, making it easier to stay accountable. Find the right challenge or community that works for you and start building better habits today.

Your math is wrong. It doesn't take 1,000+ stadiums of people to equal 1.5 million people. More like 15 stadiums, considering the average stadium holds ~100k people.

I switched high schools and didn't adapt well on time. I failed so much in the first year that at the end a teacher told me that I had only soup in my head. My grades were really good from my previous school. But the insult, made me study so much, I became that Guy (that everyone thinks gets top scores without studying). and every now and then when I start a project really bad, I say to myself, Maybe I did only have soup in my brain.

I'll be honest and share it with a story (so it sounds less unhinged). I started freelance writing at 17 because I was homeless and just needed to eat and survive. I didn't trust falling asleep because I was so unnerved, so along with food, I needed to buy protection so I could sleep. The reason I ran away? My mom had been trafficking me for 5.5 years and I knew I'd die if I stayed much longer, so I got the courage to throw a change of clothes, a Stephen King book (IT), and a Linkin Park CD (Hybrid Theory) with my CD player in a bag and sneak out. I'm not normally the kind of person who walks up to someone and asks, "Can you pay me?" But being scared, hungry, and alone (and knowing I was being pursued by people who wanted to take me back), I walked into businesses and asked if I could write a blog post for $20. I wrote the blog posts on library computers and kept that going for months til I could move on a university campus. The terror of being dragged back to experience what I had motivated me, and I promised myself I'd never go back. (I'm almost 34 and still haven't.) When I was 27, I became a single mom of two kids with 4 days to pay rent. I restarted the whole freelance operation, and survival kicked in. I'd say the first two years, it was pure survival motivating me, but it turned to rage. I mean, deep and unhinged rage. Between these two experiences was another experience, which I'll keep private, but all 3 of these plus little things people told me (like I'd be found in a ditch by time I was 20, I'm a waste of space, I'll never succeed, nobody would pay me to write, etc) stuck with me and took til I was nearly 30 for me to feel and face them. That rage still motivates me, but I have healthy outlets (kickboxing and blacksmithing) to deal with it. I'm mostly motivated by lighter things like my vision and joy, but there's still the undercurrent of motivation to prove to my younger self we're better than they said we are and we can fight back.

Hi James, I really like how you give practical examples of how you've implemented the "simple rule" system (e.g open a blank word doc.... etc). At 25:31 you mention that you had a worksheet/cheatsheet for this system. However I can't find it in the description of your video or any of the modules in momentum society. Is this for a particular reason or am I just blind ? :))). If you could let me know, that would be great.
