Had my Lite since 7/2024....left stick stopped working yesterday.....only play Pokemon Unite on it. Never would have bought this console if I knew it couldn't handle 5-6 hours of use a day on my days off (which is sometimes just 1 day a week) or 1-2 hours on days I work. Wanted to get this so I could play on the road since I travel for work.

The PS3 does not have an APU, it doesn't have an overheating problem, solder balls are not de-soldering and it doesn't have Toshiba caps.

The PS2 came to me in a dead state (outwardly), well, it seemed to be working, the reset button was broken (just 2 wires were sticking out), untwisted it, the cable from the power-up board was chewed up, there was half a bucket of dust, well, in general, I cleaned everything, put it in order, turned it on, a couple of times (I closed the reset contacts with a screwdriver, because as I already said, there is no button), and the third time I apparently poked it somewhere in the wrong place, in general The set-top box went out completely, even the red light in standby mode does not light up.

Can I send you mine so you can replace my screen ??

So I got the code but I looked at the port and nothing looks wrong. I haven't touched my switch in a while and plugged in using the Nintendo charging cord and this code showed up. The last time I used it it worked fine and was charging. Is there any other reason this code would show up. It been 2 maybe 3 weeks.

Hey when you fix nintendo switch's do you have to put new parts or replace the same parts

If you’re going to soilder new hardware just do an rgb mod, there should be a way to run the video out an a/v Jack with one of those kits.

In case anyone is having an issue with the final bit, which involves the ethernet cable - be sure to plug the ethernet cable into both PS3s before you switch them on to do the transfer not while they're running.

man,,too much work for something made on purpose this badly to fail, and block any repair attempt. I gave up trying to open a xbox one gamepad without dent it or ruin the plastic. Never more one of those;;;

I bought a new cord, a specific ps4 one and it’s still not working. I’m so desperate right now, I’ve tried 3 working cords

The symptoms with mine are quite varied. Sometimes L1 is stuck on. Sometimes if I wiggle the sticks, the d-pad activates. If I press the d-pad normally I get nothing out of it. LT is always on just a smidge. I've take it apart multiple times, cleaned the entire ribbon. Every time I put it back together, the issues I have change a little, but the d-pad and L1 are always unresponsive. Think I might try a new ribbon at this point. My concern is it's the board but who knows...

A very helpful video. I will be replacing my drive in the week ahead and will be new to soldering. Can you tell me the temperature you used or recommend? You noted the 'lead free' aspect requires a different temperature and I certainly don't want to damage the board or the wires.

How much it cost to replace that chip cause I have the same issue going on and hopefully I’ll get a happy ending lol

GREAT video. I have another question, I did it before, maybe you can help us ALL with this. Can you show us how to get the G.S. Codes printed off of our G.S. by pc so we don't HAVE to type them all out??? I know that's what the plug on the back of the cart is for. I did it years ago but it's been awhile, and I am trying to preserve all the codes me and my deceased cousin Dae Dae have. Thanks man.
