Thanks for the helpful video. I did struggle trying to understand how to disconnect the screen ribbon cable and needed to find another fix it video for the screen, with a zoomed in explanation, but otherwise it was great to help fix my son's switch lite,
I agree. I was getting some good views... but all the sudden, it slowed down. I try to get a new vid out every 5 to 7 days. Please share my channel on any social media you have. Thanks for watching.
Sure... I work on them every week. I've just been trying to to duplicate existing vids... but I'm getting to the point where I may just post new repairs.
Oh boy! I had to disassemble mine (switch lite) a few times! And this different size screws! You explained so well. On the subject also of joy con… i tried reshelling my right joy con on my regular switch! Bad idea! Broken off the small push button attached to flex ribbon. Cost me 9$ to get replacement! And even after i completed it, i wasn’t satisfied as the fit wasn’t good. I disassembled it again i put back oem shell. 😩 keep it the great videos!
Hi! I just wanted you to know i made a Switch lite support like yours (foam) to hold it in place with cut outs for the analog sticks! 😀 And i gotta say the backlight ribbon is a pain! You really have to be careful and reseat often because nothing appears on screen! 😂
I bought some new joy sticks for my switch lite because I had a bad drift on the right one and left/right wasn't working on the left one. I installed new ones and now the issues are reversed.... Drift on the left and left/right doesn't work on the right. Any insight would be appreciated.
Hey can you do one with the joystick pushed in and stuck my little cousin rages a lot and he got mad and pushed In my right joystick and it does not work any more
My son broke his switch the exact same way it pops back into place I was so mad but once I calmed down I realized it wasnt actually broken just popped out of place yeah it's not like new by any means but it doesnt need replaced it still works just fine

Thanks for watching !

THanks for being a fan of the channel.
What's the blue mat that you use? I have to do this :/ . Thank you.
I would love to see more switch repairs.

Glad my vids are helping. I appreciate the complements.
@SchizOnWheels yes you should always unplug battery first
@SchizOnWheels oh ok! Yeah you need to unhook the ribbon over the battery because you won’t have access to battery!
@SchizOnWheels right joy con?
@SchizOnWheels right is harder to replace as you have to take out motherboard
Do i need to re add paste for heat sync or is it ok? I didnt buy any lol
I recently got some new loose joysticks for the switch lite how do I know if it's a right or a left joystick
They are the same.
@@PghGameFix ok cool thank you very much
If I need to replace the thermal paste, which do you recommend I use?
Since it's not a "Hot" machine... any of the silver based greases can be used. I've been using this lately... amzn.to/3CDLrdt
Thank you!

Com in handy!!👌👌👍
Glad it helped.

Great.... I know they are plastic and flexy... so I had to do something because I felt like I would crack the screen. Thanks for watching.
@@PghGameFix keep up the great content! Love your channel!
@@onasazi thanks
Where do you get that cool work board with the magnetic spots?
You can get them from Amazon. Here's the one I use : amzn.to/3oXykhv
@@PghGameFix thanks!
Ithik six buttons maybe!!
If I press the on button the display turns on but its just black. What can i do?
Did you replace the thermal paste?
It depends on the system. If I open it, and it is hard, and old... yes, I replace it. If it's still fresh, I will reuse it on the switch.
You can actually remove the white rubber top off the broken joy-stick and put on the new one :)
I've done that in the past... but it's a bit fiddley, and doesn't seem to lay flat again. But appreciate the tip.

Do a calibration. it should help.
@@PghGameFix tried, no luck. I even reformatted the system after installation. Same issues.

The top of the shell is broken. If he is carful, then it will stay in.
I am glad I have regular switch not the lite. Too difficult
I like my "Lite"... but there is really no reason for someone to snap the stick off. That's just abuse.
I did all this and now my screen is blank it turns on it makes sounds but I can't see anything?
the backlite ribbon is probably not connected.
Yeah thought I could fix mine myself and then watched this. Lol Nvm.
