Been stuck at iron keep for 2 months lmao. Been making me go back to DS1&3. I did get all the way to the boss two months ago but for the life of me cannot cope with this area. This video has helped sm so thank you dude. Really giving ds2 a try and I’ve enjoyed it so far just this area screwing me so bad

Man the humor in the art alone is making me smile. There is something about a small cow png zooming around and repeatedly getting concussions that is so damn funny. Imagine hearing loud thuds in a ventilation shaft with occasional moos makes me want to practice a few ninja rope courses...

Regarding the coins... the game gives you a final score (you made it to "Cow of the month - 63%"). Collectibles are needed to get to 100%. And as you said you can restart a chapter to get time back, but this increases the "cows" counter, which in turn impacts the score. The difficulty curve, as you mention, is something I really regret not getting right, indeed. Thank you sooo much for your review! Also, developer here... if anybody has any question I'll be more than happy to answer :-).

@@rybko_ Yes! in my spare time I'm currently working with a friend on an online minigames collectible card game where you win matches by attacking your opponent with your favourite minigames. It's called "Anastutia", and it's for mobile (though maybe we consider other platforms afterwards)... We plan to release a initial beta version in early 2025. It's not related to Rope Cow, however.

What is your build in this video?
I didn't really have a specific build, especially since I made this character specifically for this video. I remember that I leveled strength a lot and did not level ADP. The equiptment I used is vengarl's set, penal handcuffs, and the greatsword.

The best argument for glitch horse is that triple A devs still can't make the horse work generations of consoles later( I know this is just a ps1 style) It definitely makes me giggle. Maybe there should be a really pointless microtransation for horse armor :P

Thanks for playing the game and thank you for your feed back. While every classes starting weapon isn't as balanced as the sword and shield they all start with the unarmed weapon which allows every class to have a weapon that can build combo. The Idea for weapons is to have Damage Dealers, Stance Breakers, Combo Builders, Hybrids and All Rounders and to switch between the two that work best for you. Most of my bugs are stimmed from my menu system which will be getting reworked. Combat isn't final and will be having a lot of numbers tweaked and animation fixed.

Some miscellaneous points that didn't make it into the script: - The Bloody Berserker is an obvious reference to Guts from Berserk. There were some other cool references I noticed like the song that plays during boss intro cutscenes paying homage to the Demons' Souls Intro Cinematic theme. - The Wayward Knight was my favorite starting class, as I mentioned in the video, but the Devil Hunter was actually pretty good, too. - I wasn't fond of the first boss but the other 2 included in the demo were really really good. - I think the name "Dead Wells" is too similar to "Dead Cells" (a completely unrelated indie rouge-like). I think stuff like that could hurt the game's discoverability but that's just my opinion.
Pretty cool Death Cutscenes tho, even if they are unskippable. Also, the Rat Bomb…. They really made this Game for you XD
Their skippable with F and E. There is supposed to be text at the top but the wrong demo build got uploaded but I couldn't change it due to be affected by the hurricanes down south in America.
Holy shit, the horse physics might have been taken from some other vehicle. It’s not actually that uncommon, because I recall Cyberpunk took the Car Physics from the Witcher 3 horse or something, but like…. You still gotta WORK on that shit bro 😂

Horses aren't needed to complete the game. Their just a goofy side project. I started learning code and a lot of other things with this project.
Those character portraits definitely look AI generated :/ They don’t even resemble the character models at all xD
Yeah I was suspecting that but wasn't sure. Its sad if it is AI, the game looks great and is only hurt by that in my opinion!

OMG I wondered why those platforms kept dropping like that it's a button!!!!
Tough area good job they are weak to poise/hammer damage and stagger. But having to clear pretty much this entire area just to fight the optional boss (every-time) is a bit much. I think that bonfire door should have been accessible from both sides really.
Yeah a lot of people rage at this area for having so many enemies on the way to Smelter Demon 😂 Anyway thanks for watching, I hope the guide was helpful!

This looks quite nice, I’m guessing one of the things being saved for last is the graphics, which I hear is good practice, the gameplay seems quite intriguing and I have to say that ridiculously hard games are fun so I think this can easily turn out great. As for camera rotation, I’d probably move it to the right click and left click if you move using WASD. Pacing is kind of hard to sort because you really need to decide what the pacing speed is when as otherwise it can feel like the level design and move set design clash. Cool game, I’ve never played a game like this but it has potential.

If you like games like this, you should play Neverball. Really addictive, and 100% free. Also has that unique mechanic where you need to collect certain amount of coins to unlock the exit.

Hi, I'm the lead developer of this game. I'm glad you like the game! I agree with a lot of your comments about certain aspects such as the difficulty of the game and the tutorial. I feel like the demo doesn't do the best job teaching the player certain mechanics such as enemy interaction. This is something that is being addressed as the tutorial has been completely overhauled in the current development build. Also, while the other levels in the demo could definitely use more adjustments they're really intended to be around mid game levels so there will be a lot more easy levels before you get to those in the full game. While I still can't confirm a release date for the full game we will be releasing an updated demo that addresses the feedback we've recieved. It will also contain new features and levels. The pink half of the ball that covers the character deeply infuriates me. That's what makes it a true Rage Game. I think they did it so you could see the ball rolling more easily, but in my opinion, the simple fix is to just put a stripe/ring spanning the circumference, rather than a half circle obscuring the character.
The Dark Souls of Monkey Ball, not enough Dole banana assets tho :P I really like the character design and watching you die to the robots over and over again hehehehehe
I think the game would benefit from a tutorial section just for the combat. Maybe like a sumo ring around, so there isn't a wait in between dying via falling off, just a timer to get back in the ring to fight the robot. Combine that with you idea of unlimited charge of the attack to play around with how it works and I think it would make it a smoother transition. I too, struggle with getting used to mechanics so being able to retry it would ease some stress.

You did not need to censor the game and doing so basically negates all of the praise you keep giving it. You go on and on about how great the game is then blur over some of its content.
I did that to be on the safe side with UA-cam (which has been known to be inconsistent with the enforcement of its rules). I didn’t want a few of the episodes to be taken down and stuff like that, so I decided to blur as little as possible using my best judgement (as you can see I never blur the entire screen or anything close to that)
To put it another way: it sounds like you’re inder the floor boards or in the basement and Uncle Vernon is gonna stomp your ass to death.
