      @janblackman6204 According to GoodRX, all Medicare RX plans cover ivermectin. Of course, there are usually copays for most meds and sometimes a deductible applies, and few meds are truly 'free'. Without insurance and using Good RX, a person can fill a prescription at CVS for $37.30. I saw something that said even less, but when I searched couldn't find it.

      @janblackman6204 I checked 3 RX plans (Wellcare, Cigna, and AARP/UHC) and all three list this med as a Tier 3, subject to the deductible. The estimated retail cost is from $90-$118/month. So if you can get it under $40 on Good RX, that is a big savings! Still, not free.

    Wow. So disappointing this forced payment for practically nothing needed if you're detoxing the poisons in our food, soil and air. Accept what's currently in low-income dental anesthetics? Nanobots and carcinogens? After avoiding the jibby-jab? Medicare doesn't care.

    Hearing aids were not covered! They gave you the name of businesses who supposedly gave a DISCOUNT I still paid over $2000 for my hearing aids which are a necessity for me!

    • @cbhealthinsurance3621
      @cbhealthinsurance3621 День тому

      @wendyf8262 Right! Hearing aids are not covered by Original Medicare. Many of the Medicare Advantage plans offer some coverage for hearing aids, but it does vary by plan. Having coverage under a plan does not mean the hearing aids are free. The 'better plans' have a copayment per hearing aid, it can be as much as $500-600. Other plans may only give a discount like you got. Keep in mind a pair of hearing aids can run $5-6k. So while it might seem high, paying only $2k is a huge discount. Which means your discount could be 60% or more. That is significant. I don't know which you have - Original Medicare or a Medicare Advantage plan. When my Dad was alive he paid over $5k for his hearing aids; no discount. My parents were on a tight budget and had to set up a payment plan. Medicare should really look at offering more discounts or benefits, especially to lower income people who might not qualify for Medicaid.

      @@cbhealthinsurance3621 When you add in what you pay in for Medicare and the outside insurance to cover what medicare does not cover and prescriptions and hearing and vision and dental and deductables and copays it's over $600 a month. A scam on the American public and they the govt controls your doctor because they know better than your doctor.

    Medicare needs to cover stem cell therapy. While not everyone needs this, it should actually cost Medicare less than traditional surgery. There has been a rise in the number of people with autoimmune diseases ie Rheumatoid Arthritis attacks every part of the body. Stem cell theraphy has been sucessful in healing knees, ankles, feet, back, shoulders. Come on Medicare!

    Glasses covered after cataract surgery very limited. Disappointing. In my case ,to get type of lenses I had been wearing for years was going to be an additional $200 out of pocket over what medicare was paying( they don't pay for progressive lenses). Optician also told me I would probably miss anti glare coating since I had always had it. Not covered by Medicare either. At my online store where I had had 3 fantastic pairs of glasses at a fraction of the cost over several years ,a new pair with everything I wanted ,stylish frame, progressive lenses, anti scratch coating...etc including shipping was a total of $120. I was advised by medicare to submit a bill for these glasses ,but payment was refused because was not by an authorized Medicare vendor. Instead of Medicare overpaying at select places, they should just give patients after cataract surgery a flat amount to get glasses where they chose.

      @user-td4gg4ht6e I agree! That is an EXCELLENT idea...giving an allowance and letting Medicare recipient choose their vendor. I don't know why they make it so hard. I have heard more problems and issues with people trying to get glasses. It's as if the authorized Medicare vendors are few and far between and not well advertised.

    For the record, regarding travel outside the United States, all of the places the lady mentioned are United States territories. If you are in any one of them, you are still in the United States. Most of them do have more tropical climates, though, so they are nice to visit if you like hot humid weather. I don't. The District of Columbia is also known as Washington, D.C., which is the capital of our country. I shouldn't have to point that out, but our school system has been dumbing people down for decades, so a lot of people don't know much about our own country. I went to school before the dumbing down policies were fully implemented, so I actually got a real education. There is actually at least one cold United States territory. We claimed part of Antarctica. I admit to not knowing every single United States territory, but I do know most of them. Regarding the basic medical insurance needs of seasoned citizens, we need coverage for: drugs, medical equipment and supplies, dental help, hearing, vision, podiatry, osteoarthritis, mental health, and help with conditions like Alzheimers and dementia. We also need help with any other possible health conditions, all of which are worse in the elderly. Basically, seasoned citizens need good, complete coverage of everything except pregnancy.

    • @cbhealthinsurance3621
      @cbhealthinsurance3621 День тому

      @karenhardy7964 We love Delta Dental and they are in most states! It seems like many dentists are either in the PPO or in their unique discounted network (Might be called Preferred Network), which is better than being out of network. They offer different plans and prices, but seem to offer some of the highest annual maximums. You will pay around $56/month for the top plans, but for some this is worth the money. In the state of IL, I just read that Delta Dental of IL has a foundation that gives grants to non-for-profit organizations to provide programs and services for IL children. Last year they gave 18 local non-for-profits a total of $250,000 and since the program started in 2014, they have given over $2 million in grants.

    I had covid the first yr, it seemed to have no symptoms. 5.5 to 7.5 months later, my right upper side had teeth breaking off as well as the left bottom side and my bottom front all started breaking off. Not a clue what was happening, my dentist had closed her shop because of Covid. NPR had a doctor and dentist who had a teenage boy patient. He also had had covid and the same issues with me, teeth breaking off a little before 6 months. The 2 doctors investigated and covid had attacked the jaws with its rich blood supply. The teeth and nerves were both attacked, no pain associated with the roots of the teeth loosening nor nerves unless the broken teeth sliced the tongue. Is there any recourse from having had covid where the health system helped cover the cost of implants?

    • @cbhealthinsurance3621
      @cbhealthinsurance3621 4 дні тому

      @bjspeck4337 Wow - that's aweful! So sorry this happened. I am not aware of any exceptions (other than impacted wisdom teeth or maybe an accident where you lost your teeth), that Medicare will cover this. But, it is in fact from Covid, they should! Problem is getting data to prove it. I believe you! But the gov't needs gobs of reassurance that this was an outcome of Covid, and even then I don't know if they would pay. I wonder if there is any way to collect from the money made available from all the money allocated for COVID. That might be worth pursuing. Maybe someone might make a suggestion.

    • @bjspeck4337
      @bjspeck4337 4 дні тому

      @@cbhealthinsurance3621 I appreciate your followup. I really would like for the US Health Dept to provide some of that covid funds for this. I'd always cared for my teeth, root canals, crowns where necessary. Had a very bad overbite and mornings I would wake up with my bottom teeth in my palate. My dentist said "Wanna do something about it?" "Duh!" so at 43, they started by removing my premolars and putting me in braces.. My surgeon contacted Blue Cross Blue Shield who agreed to the work. 2 yrs later braces were off, contacted BCBS again who was still okay with it, scheduled surgery where the doc cut my jawbone and slid the bottom jaw forward and inserted screws into jawbone. BCBS sent me a notice after the surgery denying the cost of it all. I talked to them - no good. I had a friend in law school who dictated a letter for me to sene to BC that would let them think I had spoken with an attorney. They then contacted me saying that is had been a mistake, they cover it. When this covid thing happened, I had Physicians Mutual and went back to UF to see my surgeon. He said they didn't do my insurance. So I haven't done anything and eating is very difficult. Thanks again for your caring attitude.

    How do I switch back over to Medicare after being on an advantage plan?

    • @cbhealthinsurance3621
      @cbhealthinsurance3621 5 днів тому

      @robertherzog1805 HI Robert, You will have to wait until the annual open enrollment this fall - it begins Oct 15th and runs through Dec 7th. The only exception to this rule is if you are also on MEDICAID. Then you have a 'once per quarter' option to switch and can do so now. I recommend applying for the Med Supp FIRST to make sure you can qualify. Once you enroll in part D drug card - the application goes first to the insurance carrier, then to CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid). You will be enrolled in the Part D card and automatically DISENROLLED from the Med Adv plan. However, if you watch some of my videos, I tell people Medicare alone is not enough. You really need to buy a supplement because there are gaping holes in your coverage. You can watch this video here: Why Medicare Alone is not enough: ua-cam.com/video/__50lS1FReY/v-deo.html I also have an entire PlayList dedicated to Medicare Supplements - everything you want to know! Hope you find this helpful!

    Definitely none of these things happened. I have several chronic neurological conditions, and not only did my part D premium increase but my anticonvulsant copay tripled. Goodrx is my prescription provider. My narcolepsy med copay increased to $600/month, so I switched to adderall for $8/month. The LPC and neuropsychistrist I've been seeing for 6 years went from a $15 copay per session to no coverage at all, and the latter used to be fully covered but is now $100/session. This is at the Cleveland Clinic where my biggest expense used to be the $25/day parking garage, but anyway the point is that mental health coverage has in no way at all expanded, but it's absolutely been decreased. I'm praying for some sort of miraculous recovery that will allow me to get off ssdi and into a full time job with healthcare benefits. I simply cannot afford Medicare, and neither can anyone else I know. My parents just went on it after my dad's second retirement, and my mom's COPD nebulizer meds that she's had for decades aren't covered at all. Medicare in the US is awful, and anyone who says otherwise either isn't on it, is actually on Medicaid (income based) and have gotten the two confused, or works for CMS or a subsidiary and their job depends on people relying on Medicare. That's been my experience with it.

      @n01nptkulr78 I am so sorry to hear this. I wish I knew of an organization that can help. I don't know if they still do this, but the local Lions Club used to collect used or old glasses to donate. I don't know if that is even an option. You could see if there is a club in your town and reach out. Best to you,

    The Postal Service Retiree Medical Coverage will be PSHB starting in Jan so I’m trying to learn more about Medicare in case I decide to take the Part B Coverage ?

      @lindaroper6698 That's smart! I know their system is changing, and correct me if I"m wrong, don't you have to take Medicare B? I need to learn more, but I thought the idea was to put people on Medicare as primary and the postal system as secondary. Maybe someone can comment and let us know more on this subject. I can try to research it as well. Thanks for your comments!

      @@cbhealthinsurance3621 As a Retiree that doesn’t have Part B yet I have a Choice. I can stay with just the PSHB Plan or I can take Part B by Sept 30th with no Penalty. I just have to decide which one will be better for me. I’m trying to decide because I don’t know yet how much it will cost for me to take Medicare & switch to an Advantage Plan.

      @@lindaroper6698 got it! thanks for the explanation. You may want to look at the Part B premium chart - most people pay the standard premium of $174.70, but you could pay more if you make over the limits. After getting B, you can do 1 of 2 things: Med Supp and Part D coverage (the premiums for this will be higher than the second option, but little out of pocket for claims) or you can enroll in Medicare Advantage Part C. I have a bunch of videos on the two, including What are your 2 options? ua-cam.com/video/YhoQC9P2UjM/v-deo.html&t There are also videos on Med Supp vs Med Advantage, and a play list of both. You can look at plans now to see what is available to see prices and plan designs. Of course, you can't change until the first of the year or when your Medicare Part B goes into effect. I assume you would enroll in for coverage as of Jan 1st. And all the Medicare D and C plans will be changing for Jan 1st and we won't have that info until Oct 1st. But you can work with an agent now to take a look at plans to help you make a decision. If you want a referral to a Medicare agent in your area, let me know what state you are in and I can locate a good Medicare agent for you.

    It’s a shame the seniors work hard for 50 years only to retire to our SS being taxed ridiculously and Medicare that we have to pay for. Hey seniors what we need to do is cross the border illegally we’ll get free iPhones, $13k a month, food stamps, and free medical. Imagine living in a country that our seniors and veterans are thrown by the wayside after working their arses off and the veterans fighting for our freedom and they are all discarded like yesterdays trash. Keep voting for the administration that is destroying our beautiful country so the6 can haul in 22 million illegals to destroy USA even more.

    I'm a senior who maintains my professional association dues primarily for the dental benefit offered. Metlife dental PPO for $50. per month, which covers cleanings and routine X-Rays at 100%, and 80 to 50% of everything else. My dentist accepts it, and my MA plan's freebie prepaid debit card covers up to $600 in dental bills per year. I've used it for implants, fillings, crowns, etc. Max. $5K per year benefit

    It's because the Gubmint has this delusional mindset that they MUST keep tabs on everyone at all times for mindless reasons. (NONE of which can they rationally explain)...Having worked in healthcare for 26+ years, IMO the pundits in charge are mental derelicts so far removed from the reality of what it takes to make/keep people healthy and self-sustaining, it is all just mental masturbation...Got an "ILL", take a pill...In 5 years, there will be a class action lawsuit reaping millions of dollars for undisclosed potential side affects...Just watch the drug commercials on TV. Anti-depressants that "might" make you want to kill yourself...Uhhh? Does this seem a bit f--ked up to anyone other than me?..."JESUS, take the wheel!"

    • @cbhealthinsurance3621
      @cbhealthinsurance3621 9 днів тому

      @cajunmike380 The $2k is not a deductible; the maximum deductible is under $600. The $2k is the maximum out of pocket. Once you pay $2000 out of pocket, then it will be FREE... assuming it is still on your formulary list for 2025. Hope that helps!

    Are any of these features available on barebones (actually FREE medicare)? Or are they additions to the privatized coverages?

    • @cbhealthinsurance3621
      @cbhealthinsurance3621 9 днів тому

      @jeffandkarenhay8966 Most are outpatient and fall under Medicare Part B. There is a premium for Part B; most people pay $174.70/month. This is billed by the SS office, and if you are receiving SS, it is usually deducted from your SS check. People that make a lot more money could pay more for Part B; it's called IRMAA - Income related Monthly Adjustment...I did a video on it.😀 The only 'free' part of Medicare is Medicare Part A, and it is really a $0 premium. It is 100% subsidize by the taxes you have paid your working lifetime. Medicare A covers hospital services. Most of what I cover in this video is outpatient services. There is one exception to the Part B premium - if someone qualifies for Medicaid, then the government will pay the premium. Hope this helps!
