    I don't pay for anything healthcare or procedures from the VA. How is Medicare going to help me? Thank you.

      @im_agine852 It really doesn't help as long as you are using the VA; you either use the VA or you can you Medicare. They don't work together. However, that being said, IF you ended up needing outside the VA system (an emergency visit to ER while you were out of town), then you will want to be enrolled in Medicare A and B. I recommend doing this when first eligible to avoid penalties.

    Great video! What an eye opener. Will one have to do the step if they have always taken a particular medicine, say for blood pressure?

      @jeanmcgongigal9141 Step Therapy is not on all drugs. If you are taking a low-cost or generic med for HBP, there should be no problems as long as the drug is on the formulary list. NOTE: Most of the step-therapy today applies to BRAND name medications and usually more expensive meds.
      NOTE: there are major changes coming to drug coverages. I do a bit of a sneak peak in my next video slated for July 11th and will be doing a complete and thorough review of changes in October when the government allows the insurance carriers to release the info on the new plans for next year. So stay tuned and check out both videos!

    Awesome video thumbs up. Will Medicare pay for Dentures or Implants?
    I saw somewhere Medicare will pay for implants if you get a doctor to say you need implants for health reasons.
    thank you for sharing your videos and information.

      @thomastommy1192 Original Medicare A and B does not cover dental coverage such as cleanings, basic and major services or implants. However, many Medicare Advantage (Medicare C) plans DO cover dental, and believe it or not, some are starting to cover implants! I have done a video previously on this topic, but I have an updated one coming out in 2 weeks. Stay tuned! Here is the one "Dental plans for Seniors" ua-cam.com/video/JBLmcfDi6mI/v-deo.html

    great video, if in the hospital under observation, does Part B Medicare cover the stay? and is medication administered by staff while under observation covered by Part B? Thanks in advance for all you great content!

    • @cbhealthinsurance3621
      @cbhealthinsurance3621  4 місяці тому

      @EdSexton-uh1bl YES! If it is observation, then it is covered under Medicare B! Interesting question, but yes, any medication given and billed by the hospital visit for outpatient services would fall under Part B. Part D is really when you pick up meds AT the pharmacy. If the ER doc writes a script for you to fill and you fill at a pharmacy, then that would be Part D. Either way, the medication is covered! BTW, I attended my state association meeting yesterday, and they mentioned ongoing legislative issues. The NABIP organization I belong to is really pushing to have the 'observation status' COUNT towards the 3 day required stay before going to Skilled Nursing. Fingers crossed that this change can be made!

    When you talk about having to use a cheaper medication before you get to the top tier medicine.

    • @cbhealthinsurance3621
      @cbhealthinsurance3621  4 місяці тому +1

      @jeanmcgonigal9141 Oh, got it! Step Therapy does not apply to all medications. It depends on your medication, the RX card, and the Tier that it falls in, and if the RX insurance carrier requires step therapy. You can call the # on the back of your card to inquire. It is usually listed in the formulary directory, but not all carriers make this available; some have the directory online. Hope this helps!
