@im_agine852 Yep, here I am! It's been about 3 weeks since my last video...took a little time off to enjoy Memorial Day weekend and visit family.

Still working at 65 but signed up at my last birthday to avoid any problems. Signed up for all parts. Medicare is much cheaper than group insurance at work.

@elizabethngquist4185 Did you also get off the Employer plan at work? I do find some people who do this to save money. As long as you don't enroll in Medicare and stay on a 'large Employer plan' you should be all set!

This late penalty is a pain! Because of one specific do-nothing Social Security employee, I got stuck with a late payment. It's only $14 per month, but it goes on forEVER! It never ends! NEVER!!! Sheeeeeesh......

@mjemigh3304 Hi MJ! Yes, it is a pain, and I"m sorry you weren't give the proper info. Unfortunately I have seen this time and again... SS Employees giving out wrong info. It's a shame. you may want to try and fight it. I don't know how successful it will be, but see if they will accept that it was a gov't EE that gave the wrong advice. Can't hurt. Good luck!

@@cbhealthinsurance3621 Well, the wrong info was a part of the problem, but the big issue was his lack of doing anything. The only way to talk with this guy is to put it in writing and stick it in the drop box. Two to three times per week, I got a message claiming that things have been done and we are waiting for the latest response. Finally, after months of this, I went in and talked with whoever I could after a two-hour wait. That's when I was told that NOTHING had been done on my case since the first day I was in there! Five months with NOT ONE THING done!

After working past 65, Do the same periods that apply to getting part B also apply to part G ?
Also dental and vision parts ?

@Barc7580 So for Part B, you can sign up ANY Time you are still actively working and covered on a group plan. Certainly if you leave employment, sign up ASAP! While you can purchase a Medicare Supplement/medigap Plan G ANY TIME, the only time it is Guaranteed to be Issued (GI) is within 6 months AFTER your Medicare B effective date. Individual dental and vision plans can be purchased Any time. Hope this helps!

I am on my husband’s company insurance with employees over 20… my question is, Can I wait to sign up for Medicare? aid I enroll in Medicare I will lose his company insurance which is a really good plan
    Thanks

@SandyHood-y6o Yes you can delay enrolling in Medicare! Especially if your husband has excellent benefits. If you have a HDHP (High Deductible Health Plan/H.S.A. qualified), don't enroll in any parts of Medicare.
However, if you have a 'really good plan" with a Dr. copay, RX and low deductible, you may want to consider enrolling in Medicare A only. It has no cost to you and gets you into the system.
