But here we go, now we continue what we had started, we fill all the holes and keep moving forward. Wilda is a...

The attention to detail is remarkable! Were also in the middle of a massive rebuild on our 65' power catamaran, and its been so much fun seeing others share their process. Keep it up!
Thanks! Yeah, it's challenging. in the end I think you just gotta live with some imperfections and go sailing 🤣
@buildingwilda Yes for sure!! Thank you so much for following our journey 🔥❤️🔥
Окна класс!!! Пропульсивная система очень интересна. Удачи!!!!
Thanks! We're getting there
💪
Absolutely loving all the details that you shared! Were in the process of refitting our 65' power catamaran as well, and its been a wild ride. Seeing others take on such projects is truly inspiring!
Here is hoping you both can get back to Oz on a more longer term basis. Hope you can get remote work basis if that is what you need. Axel, glad you got Rox. She is golden. Glad you got the window nightmare put to bed. Stay safe! - Jeremy. Tack så meckit!
Thanks! Really nice of you! I am actually going to be working in Oz for a year or two, but not remotely.. fly in fly out. should help us get the job done though. And yes, will start looking into transitioning to remote if possible. Rox is amazing! I'm a lucky guy.
I can't wait to see what is next. Looking good guys.👍😎
Thanks
Can’t wait for your return… such a beautiful project!
I remain intrigued with your propulsion system and would be interested in seeing a series just on the development, fabrication, installation, and sea trials of your system. Keep up the good work. The shower is coming together nicely. All the best.
thanks! more coming up. i think we'll be able to sort something specifically on the propulsion going forward. we are also looking forward to seeing it come together!
Works a bummer unless you have none. However paychecks are cool. Breaks are nice also.
yeah... gotta work. strangely it seems if you don't, you don't get paid... And building a boat ain't cheap 🤣
Once more --- I am not sure if the drives you are using were originally intended as "bow thrusters" or not. If they were, please look at the intended DUTY CYCLE of the units by the manufacturer. Bow thrusters I have seen are intended only for momentary use. They are not rated for several hours of continuous use and might be needed for your application.
I understand your concern. Manufacturer states continuous operation. But we are building a sailboat, so shouldn't be necessary. Won't be very efficient for propulsion in any case.
It looks more than good. Now you are on par with Ferrari, maybe a few meters ahead. I wish you all the best in the shed.
Thanks! Certainly getting there. One little step at a time
Although circumstances force you to work down here I do hope we are leaving you with more memories than of frustration and hard work! Looking forward to watching her come together and realise your vision!
we really enjoy being in Australia. we love the place, and the people. Not the easiest thing, building a boat on the other side of the planet, but no boat building is easy. Really looking forward to seeing the coastline from Wilda!
@buildingwilda hope it's a great first leg for whatever journey follows!
I can't wait to see more
Thanks more coming up
Bra jobbat , väntar spänt på nästa avsnitt.
Tack Kommer snart mer
At some point, those windows will need to be replaced. That's going to be very difficult to replace.
Yes. Molded acrylic is a bit tricky to replace. but that will be many many years down the line and the first couple of times a good sand and polish should do the trick.
Such quality work! Nice. 🇨🇦
Those are bow thrusters, right. You can't think you'll move thw boat with those 😅😅😅
@@tanaseav not quickly, no. certainly not with the original props. thrust and speed are two vastly different things. I want thrust.
Always enjoy your videos. Great to see forward progress. I can't wait to see what is next. 😎👍
We're so glad you're enjoying our videos! More to come soon! Thanks for the comment!
Sanding is great for building your body so you can wear a mankini on youtube.
I always enjoy your video's and the shower room "Fit Out" is described and shown very clearly. In an effort to be helpful, "Vertically Straight" is referred to as "Plumb" in carpentry. In Boat Building your vertical becomes more reliant on the surrounding structures but the principle remains the same. Carpenters use a string line with a weight at the end to determine "Plumb." Referred to as a "Plumb" or "Plumb Bob" it is an easily created tool which complements the use of a Square Level. Hope this is interesting if not helpful. All the best.
Отличная работа)) очень хороший план. Удачи!)))
Ridged pipe not such a good idea any flexing or pounding could case fracture.
Flexible piping is ridged plastic with a flexative added. Flexative leaches out over time and plastic go ridged. Flexible pipe is also thinner in wall so is more susceptible to fracture.
Good to see progress. Nice work.
💪
Theres a huge amount of detailed working out and work in just fitting out the interior fittings of composite boat hull. 🫠🫡 Well done you two.
Thanks so much for encouraging us! Indeed very few understand the amount of work required! Happy to be moving forward!
Are you guys back. Btw is the deck not floor lol
not quite back yet. mid Feb.
Our boat, our floor 🤣 We'll start working on the strings and windows soon and probably work on the front pointy bit as well 🤣
How about the blunt end
Хорошая идея. И отличная работа. Удачи!)))
Thanks! Hope it works out well!
It would have been far easier to make the wall out of fiberglassed foam panels ! You need rubber mounts for your pump. Some nylon string line a piece of thin plastic and a vacuum are the easiest way to get messager lines though conndute.
Thanks, I think at the time we didn't have enough foam panels available in the shed, so we decided to go with the material available. Hope it works out well!
thanks for the tip with the messenger. We've been thinking we'll do something like that. We were out of prefab panels. Foam panels are great. But they are time consuming. All the filling and sanding needed just takes forever. Not saying plywood is better, foam probably is. But ply is fast and easy to work with.
Good to see you back again🤩 I think of Emil from Lønneberg, when you sit and chop wood in the “little shed” forward in the boat😆
🤣 I have spent many hours in the snickarbod carving 🤣
Welcome back you two, we use a hot glue gun to temporarily hold pieces together to do dry fits. Less clamps in the way. Just a thought on my part. Frame turned out well, will see you next time. Cheers
Good idea! It's all about finding the right tools for the job. 👍 At the time we were rushing to get it done. Didn't think of the glue gun. Also we were constantly adjusting the pieces individually. Thanks for the comment! Cheers!
So glad to see a new video from you guys. Forward progress is always good. Happy New Year guys. Looking forward to seeing more videos. 😎👍
Happy New Year to you too! We're glad to be back making videos too! Soon we hope to be able to return to Australia and have more updated content. Thanks for the comment!
One of the better video's from the yacht building channels I watch. Good camera angle for such a confined space! Happy New Year.
Happy New Year! Thanks for the comment! Indeed, really tight spaces on a boat and sometimes is really difficult to capture the "action" from a good angle. We're trying to get back to boat building in Australia as soon as possible! Right now, sharing the content from a few months back trying to catch up.
Great to see you back, I have missed you fabulous videos. Hope 2025 is a productive one for you.
Thanks for the comment! Really appreciate the feedback! All the best to you as well! We hope to get back into Australia to continue the build as much as we can.
Happy New Year 😄😄😄😄👍👍👍👍
Happy New Year to you too! 😄
Welcome back. Missed you guys and Wilda.
Thank you!
I like your videos, but the intro is way too long.
Thanks for the feedback, we’ll see what we can do about it
A happy new year to you and congratulations on your international skippers licence the trip sounded like a fun educational well worth time had see you both next time 😊😊
Congratulations on your license, and welcome back. I can't wait for some new episodes.
Yay! 😊
Thank you I was actually wondering
G,Day great to see your back, looking forward to seeing more progress on your boat, All the best, Al
Happy New Year. Can't wait to see what is next on the build. 😎👍
Congrats Skipper Rox! Axle? Where are you?
Thank you! Axel is at work! We hope to be able to return down under soon for more boat building fun and sweat!
@ cu placere!
Happy to see you back
Thanks! We hope to return to Australia soon and be able to make more videos!
good to hear from you!
Thanks 🙏 Glad to be back!
💪
Was worried senseless about you. Scared that the UA-cam experiment had worn you out. So glad to see that you are OK. I'm in Adelaide with some boatbuilding experience. Yell out if you need a hand.
Thanks! Awww… that’s such a sweet comment! We really try our best to return to Australia soon and continue working on our dream! ⛵️
Hope you recognised Axel after your sailing adventure. 🥰!! Let's get building again.
Of course!! He is my favourite sailor of all! 🥰 sure! We miss boat building (didn’t think I’d say that) and our Wilda ⛵️
Ahhh work, always getting in the way
Unfortunately… yes… work 🫤… we hope to be able to return to Australia soon!
Brings back memories, I had a girlfriend who also did the sailing courses in Constanta 🙂
Thanks for the comment! Constanta and Greece were both great places to learn to sail. Hope for good memories! Soon more boat building!
