Wow. Awesome! 🩷😀
Wonderful interview, good information. I find myself coming across the same repetitive info when it comes to Texas history, but I always learn something on your channel
Thank you very much for watching!! I appreciate this comment very much!
Texans have always treated Colorado as their personal annex. I work construction and they think they have privileges that they really don't.
Sir, this video is about a topic about maritime & rail trade over a century ago. Lmao
Beautiful
What a liar!!
Please elaborate.
My family has a long history in Galveston. Love the island.
Thanks for watching the channel!!
Great interview, J.R.! I am definitely interested in the further development of the address-based flood forecasting and how that could eventually be developed in other places along the Texas coast.
Thanks Aaron! During Beryl, Hal demonstrated the forecasting on his live videos on Instagram!!!
I didn't know there was a youtube channel about galveston
Welcome!
@@galvestonunscripted Thanks. My family has a LONG history of visiting Galveston. Legitimately one of my favorite places on earth.
@@blitsriderfield4099 glad you found us!!
Very interesting, thank you!
Thanks for watching!
How much of that is insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and other chemicals from the Mid-West?
It’s not zero
The government censors just about everything nowadays. Seems the government would have learned after the 1900 hit.
I am a BOI
Howdy!!
This was really interesting. Galveston is such an awesome city, and this is a great channel!!!!
So glad you enjoyed it!! Thanks for watching!!
Thank you gentlemen, great show!
Thanks for watching!!
Galveston Texas was known as the Wall Street of the Southwest, New York of the Gulf, Playground of the South just to name a few. The history of Galveston is so fascinating! Stay curious and never stop learning!
Can you recommend any good books on him and his works?
Please take off your hat indoors. Thank you.
😂😂😂
I bet youre fun at parties...... smh
BTW - I skip videos when recorded with the sound of the wind more prominent than the subject of your video.
Lmao I’m so proud of you for sticking to your guns, but leaving a comment 😂
So crazy this vid popped up today because yesterday when i drove past this i really looked at it and decided I was gonna have to get a better look at it sometime and learn its history. Ive driven past it more times than I can count.. Thanks for all your amzing research!
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed!!
The video was really interesting. I think it’s important for people to understand that there are multiple sides so to speak when it comes to climate change. There are those who don’t believe the climate changes at all and then there is a spectrum of people who believe it is. I think the two most common camps for those who understand the climate changes are as follows. The this is a modern post Industrial Revolution problem camp and the climate change is a historical event that has been happening all of history camp. Then those two are further broke down by what you effect you believe mankind has on the weather.
Thanks for watching and you comments! I appreciate your insight!
@@galvestonunscripted you’re welcome. I’ve been binging the show ever since I discovered it this summer.
Thanks so much! Means a lot! I hope to keep bringing heat and improving every time!
Leave it to the government to prevent innovation.

♥️ Amazing video, such interesting history and details of the statue. Galveston is so beautiful with such a rich history, I can’t wait to see it one day. Your videos are awesome.

Great interview, J.R.!
Thanks Aaron!!
Port Aransas water is clearing up nice
Galveston is my hometown! 🌴 I enjoyed your insight and I learned lots.
I think the tunnel idea would probably be more doable. Ultimately as someone has already pointed out, there's not much reason on the Bolivar side to warrant the costs involved with either a bridge or a tunnel. The ferry system is still far more cost effective than any other option. Improving the ferry system would much more cost effective
Wonderful video
Great video and information! Imagine if efforts would not have been put in place to eradicate this problem, Galveston would have faced greater numbers with those affected by the Bubonic Plague.
love
The local sewage is pumped into the ocean like they do in Santa Monica.
This is a beautiful building! A real treasure. I have seen a couple of the rooms, and the staircase is stunning. I would love to have another tour and see more of the building. I hope it will continue to be restored and treasured.
Where is Nicholas buried
Calvary cemetery
Interesting! Did Texas used to have it's own currency?
Brown water sucks. Gotta go to South Padre for blue water.
Speaking of technology changing. Coastal defense was taken over by patrolling Airships (Blimps). You may want to do a segment on Naval Air Station Hitchcock near Dickenson, TX. You can see the remnants of the HUGH blimp hangar. A sister hangar, located at Marine Corps Air Station Tustin in California, recently burned down but you can see what it looked like.

I saw old lodge where was demons and poltrgeist because rituals of masonry are from demons in the hell . Higher power is from satan fallen angel and demons dude . When people die go to the hell.
I’m really trying to understand this comment…. Something is just off…
@@galvestonunscripted masonic mansion was haunted man because masonry use the rituals which are most dangerous for salvation . Old masonic lodge was haunted by demons black shadows in the rooms and full of sounds footsteps of ghosts . All masons after death go to hell because God hate freemasonry . God wish Christianity because its religion of His own Son Jesus Christ . Everybody who belong to freemasonry will be after death in the hell :/... Hell is full of freemasons albert pike and Billy Graham for their sins from freemasonry. Every ritual is most dangerous for personal salvation in spiritual world .

Love that building. The interior is just gorgeous.
can anyone please tell me where is the bridge at 29:00 thanks
That’s San Luis Pass bridge. The extreme west end of Galveston Island!
This is very interesting. Thank you for the video and information. One thing that’s annoying is the continuous “music” in the background. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with silence as the background.
I have been watching your videos and have learned so much about Galveston that I didn't know and I grew up there. Just shows how much we don't see that is in front of us. I had a funny event in that cemetery when I was on a field trip for a school history class. We were by one of the mausoleums and the door was cracked. We went to peek inside and the door opened and a man was standing there. It was one of the groundskeepers and that structure had lawnmowers inside. Not really funny at the time but I get a chuckle out of it now.
i, for one, would have appreciated a word or two on John and Joan Hayatt and their years of work in and for the Library.
