Raised in Galveston and visit often, I always wanted to stay at the Hotel Galvez when I was a kid and finally got to stay there and it was marvelous, highly recommended. Also, when I was a teen I always had my radio tuned to station KILE located in the basement of the Hotel Galvez. Good times.
I was born and raised on the island. Fourth generation Galvestonian. I love the island, greatest place on earth. Nothing else like it. Thank you for your well made videos talking about this wonderful place.
hi Galveston Unscripted! I thought I happened upon a livestream at 7am CST on this channel and I was thinking woah, weird why would he do that at this hour?😅 then i realized it is a premier of a previously filmed video
Was excited to see this, as I try to watch every week but left a little disappointed. I was hoping to hear more history on the hotel. Nonetheless, great content as always. Love learning new things about the area I've lived in since 1998.
Thank you for watching and your comment! There is always a massive amount of information and history not covered or discussed in every one of my videos. Otherwise, each video topic would be a 6-8 hour documentary. I appreciate your feedback, as there is so much more to the Hotel’s history. I just covered a few highlights here. One of the goals on the Galveston Unscripted Channel is to inspire research, interest, and provide context to a topic people otherwise over look. Thank you!

Thank you!
My parents honeymooned at The Galvez.
My wife and I stayed there April 30th in 1983, the day we got married.
