Thanks a bunch for doing the metal tag! I enjoyed your answers! Take care! -Marty
First 3 albums classicks!
Hi James!!!! Awesome entry/response to the metal tag, the guys keep doing a great job..... some questions were a little tricky. I was almost going to Living Colour, what an underrated band and musicians, imo. Killer Maiden pressings, the picture disc looks so cool. That Wolfsbane artwork is beyond ugly/bad/utter garbage/super low budget...... hope there's a proper reissue of that Motley cd, it's way overdue. cheers and be well
Warrior Soul, Lillian Axe, Big F, Badlands, Kingdom Come, just my 2 cents
Like the vid dude i would have put kix blow my fuse. Tigertailz young and crazy smashed gladsy soical intercorse 😎👍
Tigertailz and Kix are both great shouts. Cheers for watching fella
Among The Living is hands down the best.
Yeah it's a banger of an album
great video mr b
@@IanBullass-h5n Cheers fella
Let me recommend something. I live in Cyprus in Nicosia. If you were to ask me which is the best cyprus band at the moment I would say Stonus unequivocally. Yes they are a stoner rock band. They are SO good. Recomment that you check them out. Aphasia is their LP record but they have a great EP also called Seance and a live in studio record called Live in Zen. Top Stuff
Cheers for the recommendation fella 👍

I've heard a lot of people praising ATHEIST, (and PESTILENCE) so I really need to check both of them out properly. That HYPOCRISY album is excellent, and it's definitely worth checking out their later releases to see how they evolved into a more melodic, symphonic style (and I like both styles). I agree that 'No Prayer for the Dying' is an underrated album! It's amazing to think how many quality heavy metal albums were overlooked during the 90s due to the rise of grunge and alternative rock (which produced a lot of crap). Nice choice with THE PRODIGY, too. Great response, mate!
Athiest and Pestilence are definitely both worthy of your time mate. No Prayer is definitely an album that doesn't deserve it's bad reputation. Love that first Prodigy album. Cheers mate
I'd also throw in Bangalore Choir-On Target, Wildside-Under The Influence, Hericane Alice-Tear The House Down, Heaven's Edge-ST, Steelheart-ST, and Lillian Axe-ST and yes i know these titles are the early 90s releases but Lynch Mob was also a 1990 release so thats why i throw these in there
Thanks for the recommendations and thank you for watching. Cheers
Not a lot of people know this but, Winger's debut album is actually titled SAHARA. You look in the lower right hand corner and you will see the album title
I wasn't aware of that fact at all. Cheers
I one time owned Jugulator and the live album with Ripper "Live in London"...now regret trading them away. Both extremely difficult to get at a descent price.
Yes definitely, and their not going to be reissued either i don't think. Cheers
Mötley Crüe’s catalogue belongs to BMG Rights Management, so that reissue your hoping for will be coming at some point! I think they’re close to being done soaking the shit out of those first 5 albums. Great answers mate 🤘
Those first 5 Motley albums don't ever need to be reissued again. Fingers crossed, we will finally get the self-titled reissued at last. Cheers mate 👍
Priest without Halford isn't Priest FACT Halford won't sing any Ripper songs
It is Priest with Ripper Owens on the vocals and that's a fact
@mrboulder9714 So if you read Halfords book or interviews why do Priest never sing any of the Ripper era songs suggest you check out Setlist !!!!
Thanks for shout out Mr B. It really means a lot. I can’t wait for new Bonded By Blood album. I’ve been really into them lately. Cheers mate.
You're more than welcome to your shout out Mark. Can't wait for the new Bonded By Blood album too, excellent band. Cheers mate 👍
I would add Leatherwolf self-titled from 1987. Excellent stuff from start to finish. I've never been a fan of Cinderella though. Mostly the truly awful vocal delivery. The music is definitely better than the vocals.
I've got that but not listened to it much. I need to revisit it. Thanks for watching
Some absolute bangers on here James- good shout with No Prayer- love that record. Check out Athrist's Jupiter album. Came out when they reformed, great record. That Wolfsbane cover- horrible. Thst Pedtilence album is s brlter!! Classic album that Prodigy one. I loved thst back when I was beginning my love for Rave/Techno. Great entry mate!
@thegrimmfluencer No Prayer definitely doesn't deserve it's bad reputation mate. I'll check out that Athiest album. Killer Pestilence album, my favourite of their's. Experience was definitely an eye opener back in the early 90's Dave. Cheers mate as always 👍
Jesus Christ that Wolfsbane cover defies all logic.
Yep, it really is that bad isn't it. Shame because the album is good, but they put zero effort into that artwork. Cheers for watching fella
Are Dark Angel going to release an album this year ? Bloody hope so ! Acid Reign is a classic, and I love Atheist - all 4 are great. Don't mind a bit of living Colour - Stain was a heavy album, especially that opening track. An album I hated back then - well a band actually - Cattle Decapitation - couldn't get into em but I like em now ha. That hypocrisy I loved back in the day - bought the cd and been a fan since - my mate always called that album Penn and Teller lol. There are a few albums I own several times, mainly Carcass, Napalm Death and King Diamond - but if I picked one album it would be Epidemic of Violence by Demolition Hammer. I do like that Dream Theatre album, only one I like. The worst album over I have seen is Znow White - total piece of shit. Dan Seagrave is fucking ace, done a lot of my fav covers, along with Ed Repka - and Maiden, bring back Riggs !!!!! I
I think there's a new Dark Angel album coming this year Lee yes. Living Colour are proper underrated mate. That Hypocrisy album is cool, I need to check out more of theirs. Cheers mate
Great video James, excellent picks. I always thought that albums like "Dance of Death" and "Fistful of Metal" had ugly artwork. But seeing that Wolfsbane artwork is truly something else, yikes 😂😬. Bonus points for showing the massively underrated "No Prayer For The Dying". Love that record, I'll never understand the hate for it. That picture disc looks sweet! Lastly, I truly hope that Anthrax will put out a new record this year. It's been way too long. "For All Kings" was released in 2016, they've have been working on new material for years now...
Yeah that Wolfsbane cover is next level terrible Kenan. No Prayer For The Dying is definitely an album that doesn't deserve it's terrible reputation. Anthrax really are dragging their feet with that new record aren't they mate. Cheers fella as always 👍
Great Response James , good answers…I’m totally with you on the Corabie Crue album , it’s a banger Good Video Mate 🤘
I'd love to get that Corabi era Motley on wax but I don't think it's gonna happen mate. Cheers Marty my friend
I recently got a Copy of Jugulator on cd from eBay at a reasonable price, unlike some of the prices on Amazon which were ridiculous.
@HopeMonkey Jugulator is so underrated. Yeah some prices on Amazon are ridiculous. I remember someone trying to sell Demolition Hammer's debut on there for £1200 😂 Absolutely ridiculous. Cheers mate and thanks for watching
Great choices for this Tag! Atheist is a killer album! Poison is underrated for that album! I think you win for bad cover art! Yeesh!😂 And thanks for the shout out! Very much appreciated!!🤘👍
Athiest is amazing mate. That Poison album is massively underrated George. And yeah, that Wolfsbane album cover is terrible, fortunately the music is really good. Cheers George and you're welcome mate
Good list but where’s W.A.S.P. 1984 Self titled
@josecuevas-nh2oq Thanks. I'll be doing a part 2 at some point, and WASP will definitely be featured. Thanks for watching
Hey James. Great video! Bonded By Blood is new to me, can’t wait to check them out. Living Colour is a great choice. I’m the same with Dream Theater, thinking I might need to give them another go. That Wolfsbane cover is awful. 😹 Well done! Cheers
Bonded By Blood are well worth checking out Bobby, great thrash. Living Colour are underrated, fantastic musicians. And yes, that Wolfsbane cover is shite. Cheers mate
Awesome response. I wasn't even aware that there's a Bonded By Blood album on the way. 'Piece Of Time' rocks! Ooohhh.... Living Colour - good stuff. I've always liked 'No Prayer for th Dying'. 'Jugulator' too. I don't own anything by Suicidal Angels, but I saw them live many years ago opening for Death Angel, Exodus, and Kreator. Best Crüe album IMO. Good shout outs too.
No Prayer and Jugulator are both underrated albums mate. Bonded By Blood is coming in March apparently. Living Colour are an underrated band, fantastic musicians. I'll be watching your responses tonight Kim. Cheers mate
Haha, I picked up all 3 in November. I was in a record store and heard them in the background , asked the owner who they were …… amazing 3 albums!
They are all excellent albums. So glad I picked them up Cheers fella
Great response, Mr B. It's always good seeing a Maiden picture disc 🤘 Good luck getting that Crue album on vinyl 😂
I'll be very lucky to get that Motley album on vinyl mate 👍 😂
Atheist piece of time love that album. My mate got it before me and of course he played it to death. So I bought it myself. All the songs that you pointed out are the ones that I like also. Got to say some really nice guitar solo's on that album. Wasn't keen on there next album and never really wanted to hear anything else by them.
I'd highly recommend the 2nd and 3rd Athiest albums Darren. Both great releases. Cheers mate 👍
I love that No Prayer album after hating it for 30 years. Title track is one of my favourites. It's actually now my most listened to from them. Opposite to you I now can't listen to Bush era Anthrax. It might flip flop back again you never know. Atheist is awesome. Good answers mate 🤘
No Prayer is yet again another one of .those albums with a crap reputation that absolutely doesn't deserve it. Belladonna era will always be my favourite era of Anthrax, but I also have a lot of love for the Bush era. Athiest are indeed amazing Mike. Cheers mate 👍
Not a big Fan of No Prayer For the Dying but that picture disc is a thing of beauty
@HopeMonkey it does look great, doesn't it. Cheers for watching fella 👍
Awesome response & answers to those questions, James. Living Colour are criminally underrated. I'm glad you gave them a mention. Sorry James, but Anthrax Volume 8.... still sucks in my eyes. I'm glad you came around it though.
Living Colour are indeed criminally underrated Tony. Cheers as always mate.
Just give me your address, you can have one of my 17 copies of "Jugulator", hahaha... you know I´m kiddin´, I never had one in my hands. Recommendation: Check Dream Theater´s "Train of Thoughts" album"! A mix of "Images..." and "Master of Puppets"... Cool answers, thank you!
@albertampel4175 😄. Cheers for the Dream Theatre recommendation Jurgen sounds very interesting. Cheers mate
great video Mr B,those Ripper era Priest need to be reissued for sure
@folden2008 Ageed fella, I doubt it will happen though. Priest act like that era doesn't even exist. Shame really
Nice to see a heads up to Living Colour, saw them live twice at the same venue back in the day, The Bristol Bierkeller, a cracking venue for rock bands, also saw , from what I can recall, Janes Addiction, Mindfunk, Sea Hags, Love/Hate and a little known band then in 86 Faith No More with Chuck Mosely!
They're an amazing who don't get the recognition they deserve in my book. That must have been great to see Faith N More back in those very early days. Thanks for watching fella. Cheers
@@mrboulder9714 Big up to The Prodigy too, saw them in 98 (?) in Cardiff supporting............The Foo Fighters!!
and how did I forget seeing The Prodigy at Knebworth with Oasis and they LITERALLY shook the ground the bass was so powerful!!!!!!
@@RJW1967 That must have been an amazing gig
I love Night Songs . Ive defended that album for years. A hard rock classic
@frankies9465 It's an amazing record. They never put out a bad album in my opinion. Thanks for watching
I’m pretty sure this must have been said to you before sir, but having found your channel recently and discovering we have a pretty similar taste when it comes to music, I feel obliged to make a suggestion… You should seriously consider giving a listen to a Japanese band (their songs are in English) called Lovebites. When I first heard them, their songs brought a smile to my face and a bang to my head and I suspect you might have a similar reaction. If you feel like giving them a shot, I would point you in the direction of a song called Set the World on Fire . I would suggest listening to their live performances, since they are way better as a live band than a studio band. Luckily most of their live performances are available here on UA-cam. One last thing: Even if you, at first, is not very keen on the vocals, please, do yourself a favor and listen till the guitar solos. Lastly, I understand you don’t make reaction videos, so I don’t expect to see a video from you about them, but I felt like sharing the joy of finding a new band doing proper legit 80’s heavy metal. Thanks and sorry for the long post.
Thanks for your comment on the video. I actually saw Lovebites at Bloodstock festival a few years back. I did enjoy them but I found them a bit too close to Power Metal for my liking. Maybe I need to revisit them. Cheers
@ They are only getting better and better. I’m still looking to see them live… maybe this year… Cheers and keep up the great videos!
@GhrollHugg Your welcome and thanks for the kind words. Much appreciated. Cheers
Nice job.
Thanks for watching
I honestly feel like that the first 3 albums of Def Leppard are the best
@@ryanmcmillin5313 It's usually the case with most bands
I forgive you. After all, there are so many great metal albums in the 80s that I’m forgetting them. But when you redo this video- and you WILL redo this video-you can choose to drop any five you listed and replace them with Whitesnake’s self titled album, Van Halen’s 5150, Stryper’s Soldiers Under Command, Wasp’s self titled album and Tesla’s Mechanical Resonance. I’ll hold my breath until you get it done. Just kidding, you have a great list, but so many others come to mind that are blasphemy to exclude. Looking forward to your next list. God bless and Metal on!
Thank you for your forgiveness 🙏 😂 So many great albums to choose from. I'll definitely be doing a Part 2 Thank you for watching and commenting. Cheers
Great stuff. Sabbat and Hydra Vein 1 and 2 for me. Saw Xentrix a couple of months back - brilliant. I would squeeze Anihilated, Deathwish, and Seventh Angel in there too.
Cheers for the recommendations. I'll check them out
