Pretty country out there.
Single track trail cutters are a special kind of generous. It’s not like loading a bunch of gear on a quad. Hey what FOV & frame rate do you record in?
They put in some serious work! I shoot in 4k60 🤙🏼
I wonder if my paint is still on that dead tree right next to one of them rock obstacles lol, took out my bed side on that mid july last year.
🤣🤣🤣
Motorcycle trails?
Yessir
It was actually over two weeks before the crew was rescued, 3 of the crew spent about 2 weeks hiking out to try to get help, the 5 crew members that stayed behind were rescued before the 3 could make it out.
Such a wild story! To think it was in the middle of winter too.. that region sees so much snowfall too….
@@madjack_757yes, a ton of fun snow biking and snowmobiling there. I hope to make it down there for some single track soon.
Amazing country. I would so die on this trail.
😂🤟🏼 I love it out there
hey man, what kind of camera do you use on your fender? and another question, how do you record your voice? the video was awesome btw, i watched the entire thing the whole way through!
Stoked you liked the video man! Fender cam is a GoPro max and I have a recording studio for narrations and then I run a mic in my helmet for helmet audio 🤙🏼
@@madjack_757 hell yeah. thanks bro
@@t.crouse 🤟🏼🤟🏼
You can walk along the left side of lake to the plane, we did it in riding boots.
Yeah I’ve done it before too, I was just wanting to save a bit of time 😂 By the looks of it it was good idea too cuz the water level was up high!
Was that the c river trail?
What drone are you using? It seems to follow you really well. 👍
In this video it’s the Mavic 3 classic 🤙🏼
Southern Utah, red rock and sand. Northern Utah green and mountains. Sounds like you need to see more than southern Utah, Moab. One of the reasons I love Utah. Within a short drive I can get it all. Family is from Idaho. Northern Idaho is beautiful, mountainous. South eastern Idaho, Idaho falls…. Flat… windy. Point is you can never judge a place by one area of that place. Love the channel and becoming a fan real quick. Great job man!! Hope your channels grows!!
Oh man you have no idea how much I want to ride northern Utah and even parts of Wyoming too!! I totally agree with you, I only see that piece of Utah and I really wanna see more of it. I wanna ride warner valley too the next time I’m back in southern Utah 🤟🏼 Super stoked you like the channel man!
I’m a lifelong 4wheeler, overlander! Just getting into the motorcycles because my wife and kids arent in to the back country scene. Idaho BDR is top of my list! Which brought me to your channel. And you’ve done an amazing job capturing the beauty everywhere.
@coryfarnworth1010 right on dude! I highly highly recommend the Idaho BDR!! It’s an incredible route. Maybe one day I’ll try to get a crew of viewers of this channel and do a BDR together. I think it would be cool!
such great videos. The adventure, the cinematography, bringing your pops... Quit your job and make more vids. We'll support U
I’m working super hard at the videos! More are on the way and I work as a videographer, so I split my time between client projects and channel projects!
would like the video about the gear you would change, pack, etc
I’ll be working on those soon!
where did you get the rock shield for headlight
I believe Rocky Mountain atv/mc carries it.
@@madjack_757 I've looked everywhere no one has them
I appreciate the content, and your dedication to making quality content. But watching this (and your moab video) it's apparent that a bit more seat time would be appropriate before attempting high consequence trails like this.
I’d say Moab and this trail are entirely different worlds. I’m pretty comfortable on trails like this in Idaho, but Moab was a major learning curve for me absolutely. Best way to learn is by doing. Plus I like to remind people that I carry about 35+ pounds of gear in my pack vest plus my desert tank has my bike at about 270lbs. Plus I’m running dual sport tires and not exclusively dirt tires. Plus I’m also running a dual sport oriented gearing.
what kind of bike is this? looks like a husky but what kind?
Husqvarna fe501s 🤟🏼
Nice bro, but love the sound of 2 strokes more.
Great video! Backpacked here in early June and we had to wade up to our chins to walk to the plane... lol.
@@208Tyler that’s gnarly!! So stoked y’all made it out there though🤟🏼🤟🏼
Proving anyone can post a worthless video anytime.
a bit surprised to see all these trees let everywhere on ground. lots cut, not really from cleaning the track....? they even seem rather young
Deadfall often occurs from natural causes. Each year the same trail has to be cut again and again from new deadfall trees. Additionally, the elevation and region I am in has thinner trees.
A great video Jack. I love the scenery, and the narration. Just left idaho after 11 days, it was nice meeting you in person at the rally. I’ll be back in Idaho August 19th. I can’t wait to ride some more.
Great to meet you at the rally and i'm stoked you liked the video! Keep an eye out for my Husky when you come back! Maybe I'll bump into you out on the trails 🤟
I live vicariously through you, keep pumping videos out 😂
Oh got some good ones coming keep an eye out 🤟🏼
You actually making enough to pay for gas with these videos yet? And are you using super wide view on the chin mounted camera?
@@ThisTall gas money and then some 🤙🏼😂
Beautiful single track. I really appreciate the variety of your videos. Utah looked fabulous in a rugged, stark way while Idaho is so lush by comparison.
Thanks so much! Its a massive contrast, but both are their own unique world of riding.
@@madjack_757 Your drone footage is fantastic to giving us perspective. Amazing how the evasive capacity has improved over such a short time they've been out.
Thanks so much!! The tech is constantly improving and I’m always investing in new equipment for both work and the channel. I’m always impressed with the fast paced progress that DJI has.
Thing is way too loud. Need stealth sound to help keep the trails quiet and secluded. Cheers.
Its got a nice throaty sound.
Really digging your videos! You mentioned running 13psi in your tires. Are you running conventional tubes or are you running Tubliss?
Thanks! I run heavy duty tubes in my Motoz tires and I am yet to have a flat.
I've done that trail, nice ride. All that high mounted weight is not doing you any favors. Lower tire pressures really help too.
Awesome Jack! Please keep up the amazing work!
Thanks!!
Anyone know of cool sites like this in Florida? I'd love to find some remnants of a bygone era here, especially abandoned aircraft. But I'm not aware of anything this secluded.
Watching from nova scotia's canada am now a subscriber
Glad you are liking the channel! 🤟🏼
I’m in Idaho where is this?
Thank all the people who buy their Idaho OHV stickers. These sticker purchases pay for Idaho Dept.Of Parks and Recreation to create, clean, and maintain summer and winter trails and parking areas all over Ridaho.
Yessir 🤟🏼 Keepin our trail rangers well funded!
bro your drone did not go far that’s close but i want to be on a bike right now riding there it’s 3 am tho
I'll second the thank you to the people who clear trails. It's hard work and dedication and we all appreciate it.
They're the backbone of the single track riding community!
Looks like Walker Valley
Wow. What a beautiful place. Great ride and video work!
30 seconds in, and this man is laying out a narrative. hype
What makes single track harder? I have never done a single track.
Single track is just a way to describe tight narrow trails that typically wind their ways through high mountains or desert. They're often a bit rougher and require a bit more focus.
That drone is too cool. I need to get one. How long do they go in the air for before they are dead?
I love my drones! They're my favorite filming tool. Each drone is different, but batteries typically last me about 20-30 minutes. I have multiple batteries at any given moment usually.
@@madjack_757 so what brand are they?
I'll be at St Anthony this week, maybe we could catch a ride if you're close!
Dude I’ve never gotten the chance to ride there! I really want to tho! You should get some footage of the place and post it so I can see what it’s like 🤟🏼🤟🏼
I think it would be super neat to see a background video talking about ur gear, bike setup, bags, safety gear, satellite device?, what you pack for 1st aide, what camera setup you are running things like that would be neat to se a video on.
Thanks for the input!! I am hoping to film a gear series in the near future!
So you’re going to tell this story without going back to the site and showing it to us? I cant believe you without seeing it.
Watch the full video dude 😂
@@madjack_757i did, like 5 times
A couple of years ago, we rode out to the lake, then hike out to the plane in our riding gear. It wasn’t the best idea, but being right there and reading the info posted on the plane, their mission and what happened was really cool. We also made it to the old dredge not too far away which was also pretty neat to see.
I haven’t made it to the dredge yet! I ought to go look for it 🤟🏼 It’s mind blowing to read their story and think about how mentally strong those airmen were.. no way I could hike out 14 days in winter in that region of the state..
Where’s the dredge in relation to the plane if you don’t mind me asking?
I actually don’t know, but I have a theory that it may take the trail at the back end of the lake deeper into the mountain. I’m not certain though.
No worries!
@@Heli_Yea I don’t remember the exact location of the dredge. Without going into a lot of detail, we camped north of the hot springs and I wanna say the dredge was SE of that, but not as far as the plane crash site.
Rode it last week, took me three years to get to it. Did you run Nethker or Bear Pete? Kind of weird to see a vid on it. Hope there’s no negative repercussions by you choosing to share here on YT.
Nice! I didn’t ride those trails, but I’ll check em out if I get the chance. I don’t offer trail names in my videos to prevent repercussions 🤙🏼
Green IS good. I like riding in Utah and Nevada, but always like returning to the green.
Bravo!
Would a 300 2 stroke been a better choice of motorcycle
Absolutely would have been a better choice
Did you remap your 501?
Not yet 🤙🏼
From back when America was on top. We are under attack right now from within. You have to be uninformed not to see it.
Where were you riding?
Not much of a secret lol
Lmao😂
