It may succeed just for America, but as a useful workhorse for the Earth, it needs to be slimmer, lighter, slower, more versatile, and under $20k.
Can't wait to test drive a real thing.
I think everyone is missing the point that this car has no airbags which is required for US sales for new cars. Also $80k is absolute wacky nonsense.
The Toyota iROAD had same look and technology!! Foolish never put into mass production back 2017!!
Welp, looks like Canoo/GOEV filed for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Sniff, sniff. This is independent of the new administration that has pulled the plug on off shore wind turbines and wants to 'drill, baby, drill'. Probably not the right time to come out with a new electric car anyway - President Musk does not want any competition. Now I am looking at the $$$ International Harvester Scout $$$ but it is at least two to three years out. Plus, did I say $$$$.
the dream is dead
Is it available now in 2025?
If he had a Chinese Gigafactory
Go electric...go broke....i have the 2023 carmel...sorry but never will i go electric. My opinion. Way too much pollution.
Anything tethered to a charger is not advanced technology.
I for one prefer my gas powered iphone.
0:21 Will the Telo be offering any colors more vibrant than those dim shades of depression? You might want to take 1950s cars as example.
As long as the company has Tony Aquila attached, there is no hope at all, the music has stopped
We do know the track record of full size trucks and we do know about the smaller ones like ford ranger ford maverick you pick my bet TELO saftey margins surprising good in comparison .
I appreciate this update. This really is a brilliant idea and hopefully it can take off someday. you could probably even widen it to be a 3-seater & more space for more juice & range.
I want a Cybertruck.
their claims of efficiency/solar distance/aero efficiency, are all just claims. No real world data ever released, in fact data has been supressed in my view, they will go bankrupt sooner or later, probably sooner. So many reasons for it, the patent litigation that showed they have no patent on the design, is one big concern. Steve Fambro in one podcast claimed they bought back the IP but later shown not the case.........dishonest in that particular instance.
TAKE MY MONEY I WANT THAT PICK UP TRUCK ,PLEASE HAVE A 4 CYL AND 6
1 motor or 2 motor? SO, Telo is not cutting edge using the old fashioned center axle motor in a gearbox. Thats the easy way. I thought Telo was going to be 22nd century and go with leading edge wheel motors. What can wheel motors do? What cant they do>>> ua-cam.com/video/jAJjQs_sEns/v-deo.html !
Why pay for two small motors when a single larger one can be had for cheaper? When trying to make a budget vehicle like this, using tried and true strategies seems a good idea.
Im not sure you can say the product was solid.. Only a handful have ever been in one
I live in Bạc Liêu City, Việt Nam and they are popping up all over the place, I saw four (different colors) today in about an hour. They sell for about $10-12K here. It's absolutely the perfect first car for many families still getting around on motorcycles. I hear they're taking off in Sài Gòn as well
Not gonna come to the US
"...Cybertuck turns heads everywhere..." (4:21) Yup - but it is more for the simple reason of saying "Oh..hey look...a complete idiot with way too much money..."
It turns heads everywhere because it’s fuckin hideous
This is maybe one of the only vehicles where a lease makes financial sense vs buying. With all of the QC and production issues that the CT has had, you may be better off not owning it since if it breaks it is Tesla's problem, not yours. Granted, you are stuck paying a lease and waiting months for repair, but at least there's an end-date. I'll still argue that it's a poor decision to lease, imagine paying 800+ per month for a few years and not having anything to show for it at the end. Just rent a CT on Turo for a few weekends and use that lease money to actually purchase a more reasonable vehicle. Hell, for 800+ you can actually get something nice and you actually have more options than a base-model corolla.
I'll take one, I just had too many financial surprises over the last 6 years. No to mention that my job is about to learn that undervaluing me while depending so much on me is a mistake.
Buy a cheap DIY-looking POS from a known man-child scammer with a messianic complex?! Yes, it's a dream come true.
Not only is it an ugly and faulty car, but it's also literally illegal to drive in the European continent and some other countries due to major safety issues. Getting hit by a cybertruck would be like getting hit by a steel wall with dull blades on it. America doesn't care about pedestrian safety, but we do
My only question is, how do you load a yard of soil into this "truck"?
You drive your cybertruck down to home depot. There will likely be a helpful gentleman in the parking lot who is looking for work; he will call his cousin who has a real truck (a 2002 chevy 1500 that is 90% rust). You then drive your cybertruck to where the soil is sold while the other vehicle follows you. You pay for the soil, which is loaded in the other vehicle. This solves the other problem of having to clean out the bed afterwards, since apparently the storage compartments in the bed aren't waterproof, so win-win!
You spend $100,000 on your truck then You load up the hefty 3.2 pounds of BAGGED dirt and take it where its needed and unload it Then, you take it to the car wash to clean any nasty dirt away with the hope that the truck doesn't immediately begin rusting. While that is happening - I will take MY $10,000 dually to grab 3 full yards of dirt - unload it - and keep working.
@@zrobotics Thanks I now understand 2 things, how to load a yard of soil with a cyber truck, and what all those guys in trucks sitting in the home depot parking lot are doing.
I got a suzuki carry back in 2003. Still have it.
A skeleton with flaming head might be too on the nose for cyber truck video😢
I want a cybertruck

The Cybertruck looks like something from the future as seen in an early 90s sci-fi movie, and I love it for that. That said, I am not in the market for an electric truck. While the styling really appeals to me (crazy artist who went to design school) and my 82 year old father (Architect), it was never going to appeal to everyone. What I don't understand is, even before Elon's political stunts, people went out of their way to hate on this truck. There are plenty of cars and trucks I don't like in this world, but I am not going to make videos about how much I hate them, I just simply will choose not to buy one for myself. I am sure there are plenty of people who love this truck, but are worried how people might judge them for simply liking something they don't. In many states the most popular vehicle has less than a 2% market share, so you definitely do not need wide market appeal to have a sales success. I want this truck to be a success not because I like Tesla, I am actually not a fan of Elon right now, but because I want more manufactures to take design risks and stop all copying each-other.
well said, and anything that urges automakers to take design risks should be supported - a successful cybertruck will open the doors for unique design, for that alone we should all hope for it to do well.
Hope Apple buys them and Cruise. Apple needs new ideas and products.
Scsred to drive one. Might end up trading my model Y for it. Drive by wire..amazing
Reserved one of these back in the day. Still waiting for the basic base model as I’m not paying insane prices for one.
Used Cybertrucks are holding resale value really well. Cheapest one in America is $85k. Best selling electric pickup truck in America without the base truck released. I totally want one. Just can't afford it. Eventually used will fall into my price range.
Good luck
They are "ASKING" for $85,000 What they are getting (assuming they can find another idiot) would be far lower. Good luck with your dream Dude - You are gonna need it.
Cheapest one is 82k with 7k after market upgrade. None sold in last 3 months.
And now they are trying to homologate them to Chinese and European market to try to hide the flop
I saw a Rivian today and wondered why anyone would buy a Cyber Truck. Then I punched the accelerator on my 2006 Toyota Highlander V6 and got a huge grin on my face. Having paid $5000 two years ago without a car payment made me smile.
Seems like there are a lot production errors and some design problems. I want to let Tesla work those out. Also, I expect some price drops in the none too distant future.
I want a Cybertruck.
The cyber truck doesn’t function as a truck. I don’t expect sales to improve. The design is divisive so it’s upper threshold of adoption is extremely low.
Yes, I do not want a Cyber Truck.
The Cybertruck is the ugliest vehicle on the road today! And the GM ev pickups have shown it's superior qualities over the Cybertruck!
Those are more than 20 k more expensive
Looks aside, try charging the GM one then decide. For some reason all the non Tesla EVs have the worst user experience.
Tesla made some amazing technological advancements in the Cybertruck, but on they face planted hard on some “build a vehicle” basics which have resulted in costly (or unavailable) repairs, not to speak of the massive depreciation it takes immediately. Oh, and let’s not forget that almost everyone else on the road is judging the Cybertruck drivers… 🤡
ah, good point.. ive heard some horror stories about trying to get one of these repaired after an accident, and yea, the depreciation... man. That's why, if you want one, lease one right?
Trucks haven't changed their look in 65+ years until now. Trucks shouldn't be delicate, pretty things you're afraid to scratch. Cybertruck is the best selling EV truck already, even though it's last to market. It's more efficient than the others too. It has tech features which still are unmatched by any other vehicle. The wedge shape is more logical than the ancient 3 box shape of every other truck. Cybertruck is lighter and smaller than the other EV trucks.
😅😅😅😅😅
Haven't seen one in person, have you? They aren't smaller
I see the Cybertruck as trying to be a truck but handicapped by it's wedge shaped design.
The ct is a massive piece of crap lol
Cute toy.
