It's almost like my dream EV: An electric Subaru Brat. I've wanted one of those since before Tesla was a glint in Eberhard's eye. I'll take 3!.. oh, wait, I'm broke. K I'll take just one, maybe.
Among the companies still offering single cab trucks, the take rate has been 1%. Compared with 80% for the crew cab short bed that everyone now offers. Both trucks I have owned were regular cabs, one with a 6 foot and one with an 8 foot bed, I acknowledge being firmly in the fringe minority.
TELO is focusing on the most desired option to start with the crew cab pickup, but I could definitely see them offering a 2 door option in the future with a proper 8 ft bed. You could always just leave the mid gate down on the MT1 and you’ll have a 4 door, 2 seater at least. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Loved how parked behind a Honda Element, then shown with a bed top I sense kinship and sizing. I miss the Element and this beastie could leverage space even better. Going to pay attention to it. Thanks 'za!
Looks very Canoo-ish. With the direction that Canoo is heading, This could be a decent plan B. I am also still looking for true evidence that Apha Wolf actually exists.
Still praying that theres a chance with Canoo, probably not, but praying.. and yea, researching Alpha Wolf.... to say I've got doubts is putting it lightly, but damn that this is dope, and I'd buy one in a second.
GUYS!!! did anyone else notice at 0:00 to 0:01 there's this tiny lip smack and breath in?? i keep replaying it over and over tsk inhales sharply like that's exactly what it sounds like 😭 it's so satisfying for some reason, please tell me I'm not the only one who's hyperfixating on this completely random 2-second moment. i swear I've replayed it like 50 times now, there's something so weirdly perfect about that little tsk sound 😫 timestamp is 0:00 if you want to hear this masterpiece for yourself. FULL VOLUME!!
Looks cute. Still a little rich for my blood price. Unfortunately, I also don’t believe they will actually be able to produce or sell these things. Still, thinking about Canoo.
Good to be back my dude! I thought life on the run would be way more exciting then it was.. just a bunch of generic vending machine hot pockets and daytime motel television.. oh, and the "not really sleeping" for months at a time thing.
We do know the track record of full size trucks and we do know about the smaller ones like ford ranger ford maverick you pick my bet TELO saftey margins surprising good in comparison .
42k??? Just buy a maverick or Santa Cruz for much less, save money, and have more practicality. I feel like most of the point of a small truck is to save money and I'd you're pricing it over the price of a base f150 it makes no sense.
1 motor or 2 motor? SO, Telo is not cutting edge using the old fashioned center axle motor in a gearbox. Thats the easy way. I thought Telo was going to be 22nd century and go with leading edge wheel motors. What can wheel motors do? What cant they do>>> ua-cam.com/video/jAJjQs_sEns/v-deo.html !
Why pay for two small motors when a single larger one can be had for cheaper? When trying to make a budget vehicle like this, using tried and true strategies seems a good idea.
Appreciate the kind words Mr. Pizza.
Whoa. Keep up the good work my dude!
Holy shit this is awesome, we need more vehicles like this

Dude. Bonus points for mentioning the Brat... respect.
So a 2-door etruck is just a dream from here on out?
There's the Alpha Wolf... not sure how "real" it is, doing research as we speak, look out for a future vid.
Yes, as simple as that. At least if one is not completely stuck in yesteryear.

This is pretty much a dream truck for me. I hope it works out. Maybe in a decade I might be able to afford one.

I got my ford lightning for 37k new……. But I love the idea of this. I really thought it would be less than 40 K though.
I wonder how this thing will do in crash tests...
No it's what poor driver want, let them have it 😂
Poorly
Top notch

0:21 Will the Telo be offering any colors more vibrant than those dim shades of depression? You might want to take 1950s cars as example.
Curious if that front end with the open wheel design meets safety standards? It's pretty cool design, I'd love to see one in the wild!
You sound like a fella that enjoys having legs =)
@ And at 6'5", that's what I mostly am!
Hah! Christian, you've got a few inches on me..... and you're also taller.
I bet telo truck crash test is at least good as ford maverick though we do know about ford's track record DON'T WE !
Since when do you have an animated avatar? :o
Can't wait to test drive a real thing.
Welcome back!

Yay GBP!
right back at'cha Dave!
Can I just buy this as a frame and seat and rip it around a rallycross track
We'll see how this does in the crash test ratings, looks like a death trap with tiny crumple zone.
I know these guys put alot of work into crash dynamics as far as I know it works as it should.
Like the TaTa we will never see it.
The configurator doesn't say anywhere if the 2wd model is FWD or RWD.
2wd is front wheel drive.. I'd bet my next paycheck on it..
They say on you tube the are going for front wheel drive for better bad whether stability.
What the....? It’s too expensive.
like the 60s vw truck/bus where your legs are the crumple zone.
Cheap. Efficient. Small. Decent-looking. Well-engineered...
Yep __ they'll be bankrupt inside two years.

It's a large truck, that's the point. It's a tacoma that didn't get shrunk, just saved a lot of wasted space
Some people live in cities with small parking spaces.

Not gonna come to the US
Ugh why do people drive those massive trucks, trucks like the Toyota Tacoma should be banned from being so large, they kill pedestrians 🙃
41k for a mini sized truck is so dumb more like 20k
Ford Maverick MSRP would be about right, definitely
It’s getting obliterated in a head on collision.
Or quarter 😂

Or rear...
"impressibvly low base price" $46k for a 4 door golf cart with a bed.
