Huh, what about the Rivian R1T. It's 199.68 INCHES! There you have it, a compact EV pickup smaller than the Fisker Alaska and built in the US of A. Unlike the Fisker, which will be built at the Magna Styer manufacturing facilities in Graz Austria. Just like all the other Fisker vehicles.
@@portcybertryx222 where did you get that info? They've just acquired some "manufacturing assets" but are still a ways away from "full scale production." But man, i really really wish you were right on this one.
So they made a smaller electric Chevy Avalanche with the fold down back and seats. I'd prefer the extendable bed of the Canoo if/when they ever release it. Seen too many Avalanches with the rear open driving in the rain to carry large objects.
At 217" long, the R1T is either the largest midsize truck, or a small full size truck. Personally, I consider it more of a full size truck mainly because of what it's directly competing against.. specifically the F150 Lightning, Cyber Truck, Silverado EV etc. Or even ICE versions, like the F150.. I don't see the average R1T buyer cross shopping a Ford Ranger, or a Tacoma. But hey, if you want to call it a mid size, I'm good with that.
But, Chevy did the mid gate first with the Avalanche and is bringing it back in the Silverado EV. Fisker just took an idea someone else did and tweaked it.
It is an awesome vehicle but so far I will probably stick with my 2025 X-Bus productionslot even though this thing will be slow it will also be way more fuel efficient than its big colleagues.
Small or mid sized EV pickups are probably three years out. I would love to have one but I'm not the hold my breath until I get what I want kind of guy anymore. Ifun I wuz I'd be ded...
mmf. The bed conversion reminds me of a Subaru. Let's take that out of the equation. If they named it Alaska, it should have standard AWD. Bringing up kicking a dead horse, Canoo again. Just let us lowly consumers buy. Shut up and take my money!
@@MaticTheProto Until they can prove themselves as an established vehicle manufacturer with a reliable supply of parts for repairs, and a network of service providers, I'd rather stick with a legacy car maker. I know people who had troubles getting their Tesla's serviced in the first few years of production, and just look at the mistakes Rivian made with that $15K rear quarter-panel.
@@ChristianBehnke I mean… the ocean seems to be a great car, especially for a new brand. The pick up is on the same platform, so most issues should be ironed out when it becomes available
One of the best bed designs I have seen..Very cool..
I wish Fisker well, I like the cars and I hope they make it.
Ocean was a great driving experince
Hope they build it. Sick of seeing all these tanks
driving around.
Good looking truck
Very cool truck. I will be following this.
It looks very good.
Anything name after a country or city that is high on snow means it is built tough

The R1T is 217.1" long, making it a good bit longer than the Alaska.. making it either the largest mid size truck, or a smaller full size truck.
Alaska, along with their other vehicles, will be made here in the good ole' USA
Fisker has some design chops but this looks verrrry familiar......
The canoo truck just looks better- hope they make it
Looks better? They are funny looking cars.
Looks better? You are having a laugh?
I like them both over outdated and over-priced Ford or GM
They just started full scale production atCanoo

What company makes the electric van early in the video🤔
There are several actually, but how about the ID Buzz to start.
Whatever happened to the Bolinger electric pickup. I thought that their design was cool.
Unfortunately they shut it down.. but I agree, was pretty damn cool.
Any videos on the lil Telo Truck coming out?
Soon.

The rivian is a midsized truck... Your opening statement is wrong.

We also don't have EV minivans or roadsters in the US.

It's said to qualify for the $7500 tax credit. So, $37,500, it has my attention.

I don't think I would buy a vehicle from a company likely headed for bankruptcy and with no service centers.
I had the Fisker for a month I only had one issue and they came and change the seat sensor in my garage within 48 hours
Biggest problem….It’s a Fisker.
Looks sexy
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
...is what I'd say if it weren't Fisker.
