Thank you for the information, mine had a Phillips head set screw. Made clearing the years of accumulated hair very easy, now the drain runs beautifully. Should have sought this out, wasted money on,over a half dozen super drain cleaner treatments that did little to nothing.

Hi! for the second variation with the set screw is there a way to get the shaft out or is it supposed to stay there? I’ve been trying to twist the shaft out so I can add a hair catcher but it doesnt seem to work…

Bought some furniture and encountered these for the first time. The diagram in the instruction booklet is confusing as hell, but this is so simple! It’s just like when a tea pot lid has a little lip and in order to get it in you have to slot it in the right chink, and then turn to make sure it won’t fall off
