    Wonderful video. I love that it's right to the point, but still easy for a beginner to understand. Lots of these DIY videos either contain too much fluff that makes the videos 10 minutes too long, or they skip the "easy" things that they expect everyone to know. You did it perfectly. Thanks.

    Great video...well lit, easy to see...definitely a good tip to connect all that stuff before dropping it back in...so much more room and light to work (and more comfortable) before you drop it in and having to work underneath! I don't know if I would have thought of that...so saved me a ton of time and uncomfortable minutes!

    I'm remodeling a trailer for my dad while also living in it. I've never lived in a mobile home and didn't realize how different everything is compared to a traditional house. Anyways, not the point. The point is this is my favorite video I've watched on doing Mobile Home/Trailer Repairs all because someone I think someone said SMIDGE. Seriously, I had to replay a couple parts a couple times because I couldn't stop laughing. Thanks for brightening my day and for helping me gain knowledge (and courage because after watching your video I feel like I can easily do this repair myself) on my path through a new, very bumpy terrain of mobile home repairs. --- Seriously though, did someone say SMIDGE??? Ha!

    One thing that would have been appreciated also - how to measure your replacement sink.
    Do we measure the hole, or the sink? Diameter, or side to side, top to bottom of actual sink?

    • @basicworks1
      @basicworks1  2 роки тому +1

      Measure the hole ..Cut out...To get a sink that fits that hole size...

    Fantastic job. I am confident that I can do this now, even though I'm 59 year old woman with only a teenaged son to help. But I have 2 problems. 1) My sink cannot be centred and is not currenty, due to the position of the pipe underneath. So I think I should use an oval sink again, so this is a little less apparent. 2) I think they cut a hole in the counter that is a little too large for a standard oval drop in sink. Plus it's a sink with a rubber seal attached to the perimeter of the bowl, as it sits on the counter. I guess I'll have to take out the sink (which shifts already...yike) and see. Thanks again!

      You will have to use the same shaped sink that you had before, to fit the countertop properly.

    Hey, I followed your video, great video by the way. I am having difficulty with attaching the drain pipe to the drain, every time I try it completely lifts both the drain and the sink. I have tried multiple times. Any advice would be appreciated

    Great video in the process of doing the same in my old 1983 mobile home. Mine also has a plastic type sink with those tabs that holds the sink underneath to the vanity top. I got a 53inch long by 22inch wide vanity in the bathroom. So the silicone is the only thing holding the sink in basically?? Love the video alot of helpful information. My old sink was a 20L by 17W sink
