    The only ranked team they played when they gamed the NCAA National Championship was Pitt who was ranked preseason but finished 3-7-1. Not even in their bowl game did they play a ranked team. The Holiday Bowl vs an unranked 6-6 Michigan won a title. They played the whole season and after it was done they were rewarded for avoiding any and all competition. Their opponents combined record was 55-79-3. Only four opponents had winning records (UT, HI, AF & Tulsa).

    I watched an interview with AJ and his Dad. He could have made more at some other schools, but the BYU coach has coached in the NBA, and they thought that would better prepare him for the next level. BYU is not a party school and his Dad thought this would help him stay focused on basketball. See, not all about the money. $7 million is nothing compared to what his NBA salary will be.

    I wonder if he knows Mormons believe he's black because he picked the wrong side in heaven. It's fascinating when black athletes pick BYU the Mormons have never said they got any of their racist doctrine wrong. They changed a few words but still view black skin as a punishment or marker of doing something wrong. Makes me sick BYU is considered an NCAA school they need to change, apologize or go away in my opinion. Big 12 makes me sick for inviting them in. It's a cult school teaching gender inequality as well as women need a priesthood holding husband to teach the highest level in heaven called the celestial Kingdom. Men can have multiple wives in heaven but women can only be sealed to one husband that is the definition of inequality 😂 and here we are BYU picked up a #1 recruit.

      BYU is a Mormon school. Students commit to no alcohol or drugs, no premarital sex along with certain grooming standards related to hair length etc. It is also academically excellent. But if you want to focus on BB without frat parties and drunk groupies throwing themselves at you, BYU is the place to go. Clearly the money is the ultimate clincher. But I think BYU may end up attracting good talent from parents who appreciate the environment of BYU. BYU is not for everyone. Students who go there are usually serious about their religion and would avoid alcohol/drugs/sex regardless of where they went to school.

    ngl it was satisfying to see Utah lose to Prolific Prep this year. Ace seems to be living vicariously through AJ. AJ will be an NBA star regardless but his father + NIL has turned his HS experience into a cash grab, which seems unnecessary because, barring career ending injury, AJ will be making his family millions of dollars in no time. I was in the locker room with Prolific last year and AJ seemed to love his teammates and coaches. I know this is a pro BYU / Utah channel, and not trying to take away from a great video. Very curious to hear people’s thoughts

      Once these kids leave their hometowns and play for prep schools loyalty is out the window right? It was a business decision to leave Massachusetts, it’s a business decision to leave Prolific. Prolific pulled players from all over the country, so when they get pulled from they should just take it on the chin.

    • @TheRondo14
      @TheRondo14 5 днів тому

      @ agreed and Prolific remains a top-tier team this year despite losing AJ and Stokes to transfers. I think it is clear that AJ had a better chance of winning a HS national championship with Prolific. Sticking it out there and winning at the highest level despite better $ elsewhere will likely be a decision AJ faces in the pros at some point. I think the trend of multiple transfers during HS may have unintended negative consequences on these players’ personal development and future NBA career paths. It is important to learn how to win at the highest level and I think these “business decisions” often undervalue that
