I would love to see a video where you start without gear in hell and farm up to a point where you can easily farm Baal, or solo the Ubers. Like seeing the progression you make :)
It's kind of crazy that you can farm up from literally nothing to max resist gear like that. Impressive levels of patience, but it looks kind of fun. I'm a fan of playing through familiar games with self-imposed restrictions.
Yeah this was a lot of fun(but yes, it was testing my patience 😅) I think it would be much harder on a non-paladin though thanks to the all res aura being so strong
Love your content. And you deserve a lot more views. I believe the only issue is that the algorithm is not in your favor as I would not see your videos without the bell icon enabled or having to search for your channel separately in my subscribed list. Keep going, you are very entertaining !
Yes everything was found in the 50 CS runs or shopped/gambled by gold acquired during the runs. I found a lot of low-mid runes because I had to clear basically all monstes every run because it was too dangerous to try and run past them
To me that's one of the great things about Diablo2; the character power doesn't only come from the items, but the skills and the character you built by leveling. D3 threw that out the window completely and it's one of the main reasons I think I didn't like that game. I like to build a character and feel the improvement as I level, not only through gear upgrades but by leveling up your skills and to a lesser extent stats. In D4 the world scaling with your level removes a lot of that feeling of your character getting stronger and that is unfortunate.
I’m a bit torn on skills scaling with weapons myself. On one hand I agree with you and I like that spending skills points every level to improve my damage, and I like +skills being part of gear stats. On the other hand, I think it was an improvement for melee/non-caster characters and I think those classes are generally more fun to play in d3. I’m completely with you on D4. Maybe it’s good for the end game, but I felt like I barely got stronger. If anything I got weaker every level if I didn’t find an upgrade. It especially sucks if you go back to an area you visited at level 10 and was strong in, but now at level 25 you’re getting bullied 😅
@@zarfen melee characters definitely suffer in D2. The base damage of weapons need to be buffed and. The chance to hit calculation reworked so you hit things a lot more often. Those two changes would help a ton. I paused my playthrough of D4. Got my necro to level 45 or so. Another thing about back tracking is the story regresses in importance. So even if it's open world story wise it still makes a ton more sense to do it in a certain order. I guess most people will skip the campaign though after the first time. I probably will when I get to that point. Hopefully they improve some things soon.
@@jwest88 yeah I agree. Playing self-found/budget melee is such a pain because of CtH. And even with good gear, capping chance to hit at 95% is so annoying 😂 Same, I’m paused at level 30-something in d4. Had a lot of fun in the beta and starting out at release but IDK one day I just didn’t feel like continuing. I’ll finish it at least once though. Probably.
@@zarfen that's nearly my exact experience with it. I was having a pretty good time then kind of just stopped wanting to play. I got a druid to 30 or so and wasn't feeling it then tried necro. Not even sure I'll finish the campaign. I just don't care about the story and following npcs around to the specific spot they can talk to you in isn't a fun story experience for me. D2s is simple and outside quest dialogue it's just act cinematics and I seem to much prefer that. Hopefully if all the fev teams aren't all on D4 now we can get some QoL things in D2R like lute filter and stackable gems and runes. More stash tabs. And of course fixing melee characters. I loved using plugy with a loot filter from another mod. I turned hi runes to red text and stuff like that. Was nice. It buns me out nodding isn't as easy as they made it seem like it would be. Miss plugy at the very least.
I’m not against it but it seems my audience is mostly interested in d2 content. And when I tried making a Diablo 4 video during the beta my recording software kept crashing even on mid settings so I might have to get a better pc to make d4 vids 😅
Hehe I think I would be too impatient and eventually make a costly mistake if I did something like this in HC 😅 Had a bunch of deaths early on before I got the hang of things and got into the flow of the runs (and some gear)
@zarfen I've played hardcore for a long long time and I dont even think I'd have the patience for it. Honestly though from watching you, it does seem possible. Just very time consuming and you would absolutely need something to address the bone prisons.

I have a similar idea written in my video idea list but I really like the addition of having a final goal to work towards. Thanks!

I’m still a fairly new channel so I’ll keep at it and hopefully more views will follow.

Fighting literal lord of hell naked does sound very paladin stuff

I had to go and rewatch the video because I didn’t understand your comment. I had completely forgotten I put that in the video 😁
Finally a build that I can afford! :)
I don’t recommend it for HC though! 😅
You madlad! Well done!
Thanks! I’m glad you liked it.
was all that stuff in the end found in this series, runes included?

If they add stackable consumables and a loot filter to d2 I’ll explode of excitement. We can only hope! 🤞
Paladins are so overpowered, I love it xD
You either love them or hate them. The great divider of Diablo 2 😁
If it was normal difficulty Diablos lightning would actually hit you. The hitbox gets further from him in nightmare and even further in Hell.
I did not know that! Thanks for sharing, amazing to learn new things about d2 after all these years!

The game does not have 0MF . Instead starts with 100% MF so even with no gear its possible to find something
Now do the souls trick and have 4200 mf
If everyone has 100% mf, then that effectively means everyone has 0%.
Try this in D4….that’s why this game (or versions of it) are still being played 20 plus years later and D4 will be irrelevant in 5 years.
