Brilliant day for the waterfalls. There really must have been some heavy downpours up the valley the night before. Often wet days can be so memorable as the elements have to be conquered as well as the route itself. The waterside trails looked so dramatic and Swallow Falls really awesome. Great place for a cuppa.

Ceri & Kat, wet has been the watchword the past few weeks💦 though it was good you had some☀ Loved the roaring sound of the river hidden amongst the trees and what a flow when you reached it! Apologies for the late watch guys, we wanted to wait until we could park our bums and watch this on the telly📺 😊👊. We felt like we had stepped into a Welsh fairytale on this one, there was certainly magic in the air with the rain, mist and sunshine coming through the trees, there could be fairies around every corner! 😊🧚♂️ 🧚♀️ . What a day to visit the waterfalls! No other word for it Ceri, spectacular! We will gladly hand over our 50p😊👍. A river of tea! Could this walk get any better?🤣🫖. The light at that point in the walk was something else, and that was just on camera, it must have been really special to have actually been there🥰. The fish pass was a fun fact, didn't know about that👍. What a gorgeous little church too, next level unlocked indeed 🔑 🗝 🔐 ⛪️. Wow! Swallow falls was incredible! You really did hit it at the perfect time with the mist and sunshine 🌞, just stunning, we can see why this was your fave tea stop ever🫖😊👌. Good work on finding the key to the little church, well worth a look around. Glad you both got a break from the rain for a while. I’ve never seen jelly fungi before. Fab walk along the raging river… gorgeous woodland especially the Swallow Falls section. That is one impressive waterfall. 😊❤

This looked incredibly wet 😁 but what a nice location and I think that one added to the experience. That river was roaring! Wow 😮 wouldn’t wanna get caught in that. Another Wales never fails 😊 Although the weather. Loving the woodland walk 🌲 with the raging river below. I didn't realise how much you need to clean waterproofs for them to work. I only found this out when I started testing for Paramo. But absolutely agree with paying a little bit more just to get something a bit better quality. Also better for the environment if you're not buying new kit all the time. That picnic area is awesome. I miss Finland for their picnic areas. Our rivers go like this often due to all the peat washing off the land. And that is a whopper of a shroom! The water that was coming through that gorge, was unreal. Still surprises me how violent water can be! That bridge was so nicely decorated, how fab! I'm pretty sure there is a MTB trails at Bets Y Coed, so this is now on my list of places to visit 😂 Loving the wee train and church! Another fab adventure to Wales! So Oh my goodness me. 😍😍😍 The power of our natural world right there - absolutely stunning. The noise of the water throughout most of the video is what got me! Ultimate power - and just so beautiful too. The colour of the river is so wonderful as all the sediment gets thrown down the valley. Loved it over me brekkie - just got back from a bit of a Sunrise and loved this one. Plus your description is awesome. We’re going to do a bit of travelling hopefully next year and Snowdonia is high in our list. And we will come to this one and others of yours for tips on where and when to go. Incredible indeed guys. The fairy glen was like a ranging torrent. One slip and you would have been washed away into Betws-y-Coed! Nice to see a different part of Snowdonia and Kat’s knowledge of fish and spawning is second to none! A good quality waterproof jacket is definitely a good investment. It I only takes one damp, wet and uncomfortable experience to realise that it’s worth saving up for something better. Great to see you both out as always. Have a great weekend guys 🙂👍💚

Loved the Autumn colours, which the rain could not spoil, as it really greened everything up. Funny enough, I have just bought a new Rab waterproof jacket after getting soaked to the skin a couple of weeks ago, so I hope it is as reliable was the ones you were both wearing. The river really was in spate and it looked a powerful sight, really flowing fast and such a nice river walk to enjoy it. I have always wanted to visit Betws-y-Coed, only even drove through it before and always packed when we did so did not stop. Loved all the shops and that bakery, please but me down for 3 bits of Rocky Road, two bits for me and one for Mrs Metalman😛. The old church was amazing as was the stone arch you walked through to get to it and what a treat it was to see inside when you got the key, very small inside but very beautiful indeed. The stone bridge over the village Falls was superb, as were the Falls themselves, what an amazing place to film and photograph. I know the rain adds to the waterfalls but shame it came back on your hike but wow Swallow Falls was amazing, so worth the hike, the rain, the lack of tea and a Rocky Road chocolate square (criminal in itself). We really need to go back to Snowdonia one day very soon, cheers Alan

When you said Fairy Glen I thought you was on the Isle of Skye. Well the bad weather has a silver lining with the river torrent. Love a good river torrent as long as I'm not in it. When I put my waterproof trousers on the rain usually stops and I spotted blue sky after Kat put hers on. Great looking church and I'd never think of going in or getting the key for that matter. I always just drive thro Betws-y-Coed cos I always think it doesn't look hermit friendly and would be a nightmare for parking. Also not been to the Swallow falls since I was a kid so many, many moons ago. If I did go I'd also go to the free side too cos I know there would not be as many people and I find you usually get a better view. Most people are usually lazy. Thanks for the great tour 👍Paul
Ah Paul! The curse of the waterproofs, we hear you loud and clear, the second you get kitted out, the sun comes out....strip off....you guessed it, rain! 🌧 yea thise fairies get about, Kat has visited the Isle of Skye, very much on my wish list, Bill has painted it for us 🎨 🧚♂️ I have previously stayed at Swallowfalls hotels back in 2016 and 17, but never seen the falls till this trip, and wow they were great! Ceri & Kat, wet has been the watchword the past few weeks💦 though it was good you had some☀ Loved the roaring sound of the river hidden amongst the trees and what a flow when you reached it! Definitely some slip hazards, though good recoveries from Ceri😊 Waterloo Bridge was cool👍 and how fantastic was it to get that key to unlock the church👍 The waterfall was stunning with that volume of water. Apologies for the late watch guys, we wanted to wait until we could park our bums and watch this on the telly📺 😊👊. We felt like we had stepped into a Welsh fairytale on this one, there was certainly magic in the air with the rain, mist and sunshine coming through the trees, there could be fairies around every corner! 😊🧚♂️ 🧚♀️ . What a day to visit the waterfalls! No other word for it Ceri, spectacular! We will gladly hand over our 50p😊👍. A river of tea! Could this walk get any better?🤣🫖. The light at that point in the walk was something else, and that was just on camera, it must have been really special to have actually been there🥰. The fish pass was a fun fact, didn't know about that👍. What a gorgeous little church too, next level unlocked indeed 🔑 🗝 🔐 ⛪️. Wow! Swallow falls was incredible! You really did hit it at the perfect time with the mist and sunshine 🌞, just stunning, we can see why this was your fave tea stop ever🫖😊👌. Lovely stuff as always Ceri and Kat, this walk really did have a bit of everything and made us want to revisit this area as it brought back some lovely memories. Take care, Shell and Pete😊👍

That wet UK weather couldn't put a damper on your day. That confluence area of the 2 rivers joining looked very full. All the rain must be coming to you guys across the pond. Good work on finding the key to the little church, well worth a look around. Glad you both got a break from the rain for a while. I’ve never seen jelly fungi before. Fab walk along the raging river… gorgeous woodland especially the Swallow Falls section. That is one impressive waterfall. 😊❤

This looked incredibly wet 😁 but what a nice location and I think that one added to the experience. That river was roaring! Wow 😮 wouldn’t wanna get caught in that. But your expressions were just priceless. 😁 and oops, Ceri mind your step at 10:42 👀 that was a nice looking village and has everything you’ll need. Although the weather. Loving the woodland walk 🌲 with the raging river below.
I didn't realise how much you need to clean waterproofs for them to work. I only found this out when I started testing for Paramo. But absolutely agree with paying a little bit more just to get something a bit better quality. Also better for the environment if you're not buying new kit all the time. That picnic area is awesome. I miss Finland for their picnic areas.
Our rivers go like this often due to all the peat washing off the land. And that is a whopper of a shroom!
The water that was coming through that gorge, was unreal. Still surprises me how violent water can be!
That bridge was so nicely decorated, how fab! I'm pretty sure there is a MTB trails at Bets Y Coed, so this is now on my list of places to visit 😂

Our minds were blown at so many points of this walk, the strength and force of the rivers and then Swallowfalls to end it all, and everything inbetween. It was like being in a fairytale! 🧚♂️

The power of our natural world right there - absolutely stunning. The noise of the water throughout most of the video is what got me! Ultimate power - and just so beautiful too. The colour of the river is so wonderful as all the sediment gets thrown down the valley.

Incredible indeed guys. The fairy glen was like a ranging torrent. One slip and you would have been washed away into Betws-y-Coed! Nice to see a different part of Snowdonia and Kat’s knowledge of fish and spawning is second to none! A good quality waterproof jacket is definitely a good investment. It I only takes one damp, wet and uncomfortable experience to realise that it’s worth saving up for something better. Great to see you both out as always. Have a great weekend guys 🙂👍💚

Funny enough, I have just bought a new Rab waterproof jacket after getting soaked to the skin a couple of weeks ago, so I hope it is as reliable was the ones you were both wearing. The river really was in spate and it looked a powerful sight, really flowing fast and such a nice river walk to enjoy it. I have always wanted to visit Betws-y-Coed, only even drove through it before and always packed when we did so did not stop. Loved all the shops and that bakery, please but me down for 3 bits of Rocky Road, two bits for me and one for Mrs Metalman😛. The old church was amazing as was the stone arch you walked through to get to it and what a treat it was to see inside when you got the key, very small inside but very beautiful indeed. The stone bridge over the village Falls was superb, as were the Falls themselves, what an amazing place to film and photograph. I know the rain adds to the waterfalls but shame it came back on your hike but wow Swallow Falls was amazing, so worth the hike, the rain, the lack of tea and a Rocky Road chocolate square (criminal in itself). We really need to go back to Snowdonia one day very soon, cheers Alan

Just a beautiful, slightly, okay more than slight, wet autumn hike Ceri and Kat. Gorgeous fast flowing river and waterfalls! We did notice the mist by the Waterfall, but I found myself wondering how you could have noticed the difference? Gorgeous video. Your both a step above! We "better doed" a long time ago. When you said Fairy Glen I thought you was on the Isle of Skye. Well the bad weather has a silver lining with the river torrent. Love a good river torrent as long as I'm not in it. When I put my waterproof trousers on the rain usually stops and I spotted blue sky after Kat put hers on. Great looking church and I'd never think of going in or getting the key for that matter. I always just drive thro Betws-y-Coed cos I always think it doesn't look hermit friendly and would be a nightmare for parking. Also not been to the Swallow falls since I was a kid so many, many moons ago. If I did go I'd also go to the free side too cos I know there would not be as many people and I find you usually get a better view. Most people are usually lazy. Thanks for the great tour 👍Paul
Ah Paul! The curse of the waterproofs, we hear you loud and clear, the second you get kitted out, the sun comes out....strip off....you guessed it, rain! 🌧 yea thise fairies get about, Kat has visited the Isle of Skye, very much on my wish list, Bill has painted it for us 🎨 🧚♂️
I have previously stayed at Swallowfalls hotels back in 2016 and 17, but never seen the falls till this trip, and wow they were great! Sadly not a Hermit friendly place, maybe during the off season 🤔 have a great end to the week, thanks again, Ceri and Kat ☕️ ❤️ 👍 😀 🏴
@@TeaInValhalla I still need to do a big edit of all the places I visited on Skye, including the Fairy Glen. I might have to do my best documentary voice over (I'm not sure I have one) for it.
