Meriden the Historical Centre of England, Group Hike YouTuber Meet Up

- A cracking circular 9 miler in and around the historical centre of England, and heart of the English countryside, Meriden, Coventry. This was a perfect spot for a mottle crew of walking UA-camrs to meet up and have a stunning group hike in the surprisingly warm Autumn sun in the Midlands.
We parked for free in the Meriden Sports Park (CV7 7RU) and gathered for obligatory selfies and 'so you are real' chat at the Ancient Wayside Cross site, which for hundreds of years was believed to have marked the centre of England. Absolutely buzzing! Incredible to meet everyone we've been speaking with and watching for so long. We soon set off on the Millenium Way Walk 40, a route devised by 41 Club, shout out to them, and relayed to us via our illustrious walk leader, Rachel from the Rambling Rachel UK channel.
We walked through beautiful rolling green fields, alongside rivers, through farms, small villages and churchyards, so typically English it almost hurts😁 We were having so much fun, laughing and chatting with the group. We stopped off for lunch in the village of Berkswell. We chose to lock poor sweet, murderous, Tanny (from Tanny's Travels) in the stocks, she was the only one who could fit to be fair. We also visited the famous holy Bercul's well, for which the area is named after, and a Norman Church and Crypt, really interesting, unusual and spooky.
We honestly had the best time. A massive thanks to the organisers, Lou and Lol from Lou and Lol's Travels channel and everyone who was able to make it. Channel names listed down below, if you have a moment please check them out if you haven't already, you'll not be disappointed.

Cheers Ceri, Kat and all you other lovely youtubers for bringing a bit of cheer and light entertainment on a grey and bleak Wednesday! Fitting that you met up at the centre of the world and while no global issues were resolved; you do sparkle with enthusiasm and enjoyment of being together and enjoying the outdoor life! An inspiration for us who watch and a shot of joy for mind and body! So I think the NHS should sponsor you as you do good for yourself and others. Watching your adventures is like having a purring cat on the lap for 25 minutes - and who can deny the health benefits of that (except those alergic obviously....). As for the future - how about a collabaration on the theme of "12 oclock - different experiences" with the gang showing where they are at the same time. The Bear at Berkswell..we've spent many a happy summer hour there. Excellent group video in the heart of England..the good old forest of Arden. Bit of a heathen rebellion in the local church and I'm sure I saw Patrick trying to walk on water. Another top video from the Ts

Well first of all I learned something new Lady Godiva wasn't the only person who enjoys wondering that area in the buff. What a cracking day for a meetup and a walk. Always good to meet like minded people and that's coming from a hermit. Tho at one point I thought you were ransacking the church.

So far behind on watching videos. Better late than never? Right! You filmed perfectly for a group hike. I always feel weird still after 4 years filming in front of groups of people. Love that you always give info on free car parks. Affordability in travel and get outdoors is always so important. I'm going to go show support to the other channels you mentioned to share the love. I never tire of beautiful old architecture. It's just incredible to see and especially on a hike. Stained glass, arches, old stonework, oh my. What a fantastic day with blue skies, being outdoors with other great like minded people, you can't beat it. ~RVA~

My hubby was born at Moat House farm, the one opposite St Cuthberts Church in 1946. The family migrated to Africa in 1949. My father in law, together with his parents and
grandparents are buried in the church yard. Something to show the grandchildren

Nice meet up and great to see you out with the lovely Rachel, especially in the centre of the universe 😳. The weather looked great, we have not seen it for ages Up North, I wondered where it had gone too😉. I will have a look at some of the other channels and I have 3 buffs, which I thought was a bit excessive but 67....but putting the poor lass in the stocks was a bit excessive too lol! Loved the old church and what a great stop off place that was, as was the story of Lady Godiva and I so hope that story was true😇. Great walk and a free car park too - does it get any better!
