one or two things can be happening here. 1. The people that arenmakjng the decisions are noobs, and only catering to noobs. Taking everything to do with skill based gameplay out of the game. 2. They are trying everything that they can to kill it, and it just wont die.

PvP is impossible to fix. There are too many complex systems involved. There is a reason why most PvP games don't have a persistent map which is 99% buildable on with animated building pieces like the drawbridge. You might think these things are simple buy they are not.

I just reinstalled Conan on xbox the other day, i checked at peak times and there were 3 lobbies that had players .... 2 official's with les than 10players each ... and a PvE server that had 4 players in it. Game is depressingly dead lol

The pve part is very ez in this game I have 5k+ hrs in this game and man their is something that makes me come back everytime adn guess what i m going back in after watching this.

you are absolutely right, they are changing things that were never a problem. since siptah it's been a downward trend bugs that have been in the game forever are still there bugs that have been fixed come back and generally the game is way too easy so new players don't find long term motivation, the best example is the stamina, barely enough for a whole combo but it regenerates fast enough to roll almost endlessly...

The unlimited keys issue is the only thing I can really comment on: this is a exploit that their testing wouldnt really find. QA is mostly testing for things that would happen in your standard day to day gameplay, so this specific exploit might not be found in standard testing. THAT SAID they should have fixed it the moment this exploit was found (like all exploits). Funcom being Funcom, though, have left it in place so they can go can some players for land claim after they were reported by a bunch of hackers

Why would anyone play public pvp server? The very worst way to play the game. Private pve is the only fun way to play.

The reason for most of the changes is to make game easier for new players. It's common strategy to get more people to play the game. fx game like rust it had recoil change which made game much easier. Conan 3 years ago was more difficult and it had very high skill gap in pvp. Good players used to even be feared

It is hillarius to me that a company like this expects player retention for Dune when this is what you can expect from them. If you can't make a game enjoyable, patch after patch it simply brakes even more. When you change things that NOBODY asked for. Like what is the credibility they are building with Conan Exiles for me to even think of buying Dune? they are so delusional.

the combat system just sucks looks like some 10 yr old kid's imagination after watching some Japanese anime. You either roll away after an attack action or freeze there for 10sec trying to be coOl or something

I have 1k hours in official PVE. I see many unique things about this game: the aesthetic is perfect, the building is the best among the many survival games I played and it's got a lot of unique dungeons, interactions, items, etc that you can hunt and experience. That being said every single thing is freaking bugged and half baked and it's like they have a great idea but they can't actually code a game. We even get raided in PVE in this game, sometimes by cheaters, sometimes by bugs. So yea it's not like PVE is heaven, we also play a Funcom game...

I'm telling you, all the good and average people at FUNCOM are working on Dune, the rest was assigned to CE and so on...like literally the people they can't fire for whatever legal reason are "working" on CE.

I just got into this game in January. Single player was great then on to PVE PVEC and eventually PVP. PVP was horrible griefers and no lifers constantly offlined or 10 v 1 before I could even get established. Regardless went back to PVEC and update after update just seemed to make the game worse with each one. It’s mind blowing actually I’m like you I feel surely they can’t be this incompetent it’s got to be intentional. Went from playing daily , spending too much money to haven’t logged on other then to refresh decay timer. It’s pitiful that a game with sooo much potential has just been neglected and driven into the ground by its incompetent dev team. It seriously has gone from one of my all time faves to one of the biggest dissapointments to me in only a few months.

I recently had a bit of a playthrough in SP, just for fun. I ended up stopping when play was just too frustrating. The biggest killer is that CE doesn't 'push back'. So you build a nice base and trigger a purge, nowhere for the purge to place a base. So you move, test first, works, build the base, purge stops. Take out ALL the doors, purge doesn't work. Last change... I decide to build a new base in an old location I shared with some other solos one, recreate the cool base, nostalgia, but foundation placement doesn't work 90% of the time. I thought my controller was broken. Nope, the input was lagging. I half destroyed an elite controller because they aren't polling input enough, or the preview mesh placement\grid search isn't fast enough. Whatever. I turned it off with a verbal "FU game", and that's that, I'll have a look in a year or so. Whatever. I revisit to see two thing. The inspiration for what CE gets right is going straight in to my game, and the observation of what they get so terribly, terribly wrong, and that list is SO long. So, I went back to my own game. Last night was bug night. I removed 6 bugs in 5 hours. That's how hard it is for Funcom to just fix things. Most of them were hard ones too. So, when they leave things broken please know that they are intentionally spending their effort elsewhere, the bugs are not going away because they just have nobody working on them. Your frustrations are not their highest priority. There is also the possibility that they are just incompetent, but I trust them to hire good aspiring young people and exploit the crap out of them, so, the people are probably fine. They are just not working on conan. That fat game designer on the stream however would struggle to get a job elsewhere.

I quit playing with others...only single player/mods...not until they unfcuk their shit coding/game.

basically this game NEEDS A NEW MAP! travel across the clusters! SERVER WARS! Party fobs! Alliances clusters etc. This game is too small I think and its almost a decade and nothing BIG happens.

It's not just "bugs", they also do "stealth" nerfs and changes all the time, with NO patch notes, just to destroy player happiness. For instance, I started a new Siptah play through about a week ago. When I first started, the "Jailor" NPC's were all wearing Silent Legion armor as always, and I collected a few 4 piece sets, by laboriously beating down jailors in small camps with my stone weapons. But, after a couple of days I logged in again, and apparently NoFunCom watched one of Annabriella's videos and saw her getting the Silent Legion armor early, so now all the Jailors are wearing Barachan Reaver armor instead.

6 months of waiting just for living settlements and 2 companions? this is bs comparing Age of heroes with age of sorcery we got so many things

I rage quit a server the other day hacker blew through raided 4 bases worth of thralls including my own stole all the stuff in our bases and then left the server. I'm 100% finished with this broken crap.

What’s the hammer? Is the chakra twitch drop active (if not any alternative?) and how to replicate the horse bug? I’m getting on a new server and don’t want to be at an disadvantage.

If these guys bothered fixing all the bugs this game would be one of the best survival games around imo

I can't enjoy any of the content from the age of hero's. Both the new tralls are locked in the last stages of their progression and they shut down living settlements.

Conan is a waste of time, but you're right. The building is very unique and fun, but then one exploit gets fixed, and 5 more pop up.

2 years later still an issue

This game peaked with Age of Sorcery chap.3. Yeah the game had some exploits and bugs and cheating was pretty rampant, but the game as a whole was enjoyable and it felt like they were trying to make it better. Then Age of Roll came out and they broke everything good about it and added stuff nobody asked for. I'm coming from a PvP perspective, I couldn't care less about this game's PvE simply cause it's boring af and only serves as a compliment to its PvP. It's just sad, man. This game could've been the nr1 survival PvP game out there, and instead its idiot devs made a laughing stock whilst actively trying to tank it.

PvP servers are all unplayable, during raid hours the lag and server crashes are through the roof and and if you die while defending good luck can’t access boxes or inventory for 5 minutes all you can do is watch the enemy push in good job Funcom

They need to open the game to the players and let private servers choose which meta to play on for example (haunch and [herbal new roll], old roll, siptah metas 2.4-2.9, age of sorcery chapters,age of war chapters)

The fall damage thing happened due to spreadsheet/table errors. If you are in a clan, your clan friendly-fire protection applies to fall damage. And temperature damage.

They are doing it on purpose.I think its mainly to test things for dune. The fall damage is a perfect example.

Body blocking! NPCs “pushing” you out of a space and boxing you in is the worst, especially your own thralls!

I still can't log into the game since last update. Just a freezes loading screen after selecting single player/continue

PvE aspects of the game; hella fun. PvP; not so much. I would begin the fixing by removing the cheaters and bug abusers from the game :D

I enjoyed the OPness of siptah gear, it was a fun change.. I just thought it was stupid that the best gear was the easiest end game gear to get (dungeon and tower recipes), making all the harder to get gear worthless. It was annoying to have to run / ride all over the map, but for raids I actually kind of liked it. It's was scary to travel half of the map with all your bombs or home with the loot. Server transfer is one of their stupidest implementations of a thing pretty much no one was asking for. There was posts once in a while asking for it before siptah, but when siptah was announced pretty much everyone was asking for a way to travel back and forth between the two maps. No one was asking for this semi permanent server transfer. When the announced server transfer most people said "that wasn't what we asked for" and pretty much every pvper predicted all the flaws..

Damn it. I had almost forgotten about this hot garbage game. Haven't played for months. Then, I see Mahazioth pop up in my feed. I couldn't resist and had to watch. "What new things have Funcom fucked up this time?" Then, I feel pissed off all over again because I want to love this game but it's become downright boring to play.

just came back to conan a week ago to see the state of the game, building a base on a dead server, while they all are now. lol this is the video i needed to watch.

my suggestion was that you die automatically when you go out to the mesh and that you can't build in the mesh, but I didn't get any response. almost two years ago.
