Honestly from a pve viewpoint, I would assume players would want more dynamic combat with bosses, npcs, more engaging dungeon experiences, you know more things to do, a bit of a challenge? We all know how exciting the Headhunter event was, the one that even had an exploit where you could places weathered skulls and turn them into sorcerer skulls, good stuff.

Oh yeah forgot tons of players play on Siptah xD what a joke lmao The real PvP community mostly hate siptah. That's why the siptah servers suck and are dead and dying.
Damn, finally a streamer able to say the truth avoiding to unnecessary lick where the sun don't beat. You own my respect, Sir. Well, after the start of age of cash grabbing, things are just worst and worst. We have 'updates' doing by change the config file, Nerfs all around, insane pricing, no bug fixing, absurd joking like "oh we don't update the engine cause it will require one year of work". Eh? Sure, just if there's just one Dev working on a game. CSS are able to update Satisfactory from UE4 to UE5 in less than 6 months. Funcom was a questionable software house before being owned by Tencent, now it's just a joke, and they try desperately to get rid of the fan base, cause they know most of the fan base is pissed like hell for BP and Bazaar, on a game of the value of 140 bucks if you buy all the DLC'S. I'm pretty sure if Howard can see everything about this, will puke in his grave.
It truly is a damn shame, not just for the game but Conan in general. It has the potential to be one of a kind and a step above other games, but like you even said, the cash grabbing was more important. Look I get it, a companies job is to make money but something I have preached since the start of the wtf funcom series is those who make the most money practice good business policies. You got to keep the customer happy. Sadly I guess at the end of the day wringing the current player base of every nickle and dime they can is enough for them. I also don't just blame Funcom but gamers in general now a days. People have allowed game developers to lower the bar every year and just "deal" with it quietly and kiss the ass of these developers. I still to this day enjoy the game and continue to make these videos where I voice my opinions and concerns in hopes that maybe directions will change, it might never happen but I also don't want to just be silent.
@@Mahazioth I do totally agree with you. Companies can make money basically in two ways, a honest one and a less right one. Take Generation Zero for example, they do DLC'S at the price of 5 bucks. You can get it, or don't. It's on you if support or not. No FOMO or overprice stuffs. And you're also totally right about the players, until there's will be players able to spend 200 bucks a week in, for example, Android games stuffs, there's will be sharks like Tencent. And yes, it's a damn shame, cause despite this, Conan and his lore have huge potential to outstand over the others, and raise to the Olympus of games like Skyrim, still played and modded after decades. Thank God, the modders community of CE, even with this constant rape of a new version of the Devkit every 3 months, still work on wonderful Mods. I have been lot of fun before AoS, 1350 hours of play. Sometimes i still play some, but actually it's a bit like interact with an ex gf in a ended relationship. You have been a lot of hopes and good times, and then events have ruined everything. Keep the job on and share the truth, please. It's important.
Yeah like the invisible animals on Siptah (Console Server, the servers Funcom always neglects) that is still a thing and was introduced when they first added sorcery
I share your concerns about repairs and durability. I mean, was that really necessary to make our stuff eventually break apart? There is almost no point to repair at all, just toss damaged stuff into dismantler and make a new one (it will probably be cheaper), and I really dislike this "Nothing is forever attitude". Not to mention hurt it causes to using dyes and transmog - what's the point of personalising something that will be destroyed either way? That's like painting or writing poems on toilet paper.
They have shareholders, profits and appearance matter way more than quality of content. Board members don’t know about bugs unless they’re huge but they do know about micros. In the end of course the people working on the game know what’s up but that’s a different system that cares
I want to believe someone if not multiple people there are trying to be a voice of reason and say hey we should prioritize this before that... When it's about money though, those voices get hushed.
Thats true but venting frustration is healthy. :) Its a good counter against fanboys who literally agree to anything because they have been raised to never say no to authority.
Rant serious is to be entertaining and educational. Also a reminder that a competent dev team should be looking to find balance for their game rather than making drastic changes to nerf this, buff that etc.
I'll start this off with the fact that I don't PvP at all. I've put a LOT of hours in Conan and used to PvP when it first came out, but now I only play private with friends. I agree that a lot of these changes are outlandish. Even as a PvE player, I can see how bad this is for PvP. The stamina cost changes are out of left field and makes good weapons not feel great and bad weapons trash (unless you rolling thrust spam but that needs to go) I mean for God's sake a full 2H hammer combo uses 225 Stamina...That means to do it you'd have to be max grit, max agility and be using Stamina armor or have double Stamina buffs. That's completely insane! Just so I can do a full combo with something that is already not a very good weapon as far as I'm aware. Stamina regen rate completely decimates the negatives of overextending, making it so playing hyper aggressively has almost zero downside. Repair changes feel shitty. I feel most PvPers will lose their legendary weapons before they ever come close to breaking (could be wrong as I'm not very experienced in it) which means it really only hurts PvErs and makes us have to grind more than we already do. The respec potions I get, though, yellow lotus potion has been bugged for years, so getting rid of it seems like the good way to go and making the other two cheaper makes sense because they still want you to be able to respec at low levels if you want to. All in all, I'm really not looking forward to the new age at all unless some things drastically change, which I really hope they do.
None of the changes truly make sense. They came up with Age of War first and were most likely just scrambling to change things to make it feel like a new age. Most pvp players never even get to utilize a combo because you can just get away from it, unless in crammed spaces. I usually use combos on npcs and mobs, not players. Drastically changing the stamina and stamina drain on weapons is just a lazy way to "change it up". A lot could be said about the durability changes but someone in the comments said it best, they add the ability to transmog clothing and weapons, but now clothing and weapons can eventually break, requiring more resources in the end to transmog and what not. Just an odd direction imo.
I’d also like to know who the hell come up with the buffs and nerfs! How does it make sense to give a thrall/Boss less HP, but make them stronger…that’s LITERALLY reverting back to the way it used to be. Why do they keep screwing with the system and breaking it every time
All changes makes sense. It causes you to be selective with battles because good weapons wear down and take time to replace. They changes to the meta are fun and have led to rethinking builds which is healthy. I like they went with stamina changes and weapon balances. I am all for these combat changes and new content as it feels more tactical than before as a PVP and PVE player.
I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts in well thought out reply. Very rare. I will disagree on some of the changes, mostly the combat. Only because I believe a proper balance should be the goal of funcom, not drastic changes that just remove one meta to replace it with a new meta. Would be nice to see people actually be able to be creative with builds, would feel unique to the player.
All change make sense .????... 🤣🤣🤣🤣sorry but you are dreaming :) 🤣 the most make no sense . I give you one example.only one.... Yelloow lotus potion give you an stamina buff. That is realy usless. You get your stam realy quick back. Soooo what benefit give you this no sense? The most of next update make no sense from wapon and char changes. Like that its not balancing how it work.....its annoying!!!!
Top tier archers are already untouchable. You say agility builds are nerfed but bow players will clean house? I don’t understand what you are getting at there. Unless you mean agi/expertise builds and the stam changes for double jump. Also I haven’t seen anyone mention the legendary spear/mace and maul that are agility weapons.
I thought I went into detail in that during the video? Anyways, I meant the typical agility build people run on official servers, daggers, max agi, vit and stam. Daggers hit like a pool noodle now, not the old soggy pool noodle that absorbs water. I am happy to see daggers may not be the meta anymore but the issue is one thing gets nerfed, something else becomes the meta. They never properly balance things. Sorry if I was not clearer in the video, that's my bad.
My biggest problem isn't the "adding" but the taking away. Also if they made this game for PVP then it should be a horizontal progress instead of vertical progress. Was so sick of servers because all i see are spam builders who sole purpose is to horde everything... Mind as well play by yourself so i did. The game problem is just that the npcs are practically brain dead. This is just my boob watch game.
Also wtf. Not only you are toxic but making no sense. They removed raw ask from only bestial memory and other potion not from the entire game. You should just quit conan if you feel like this about a game. To feel it necesary to complain about stuff that isnt that big of a deal just to complain basicly.
This entire chapter is a mistake lol, They are releasing a new system that you wont get fully until chapter 3 which is a 1/2 year later, and then you have these stam changes that no ones asked for and no one needed. The only thing that they have done right is the legendary weapon changes and nothing else.
There will always be white knights but I agree theses changes for the most time are unnecessary. There wasn’t anything wrong with the stamina. That for me is a big mistake
@@Ralticz What about durability changes where your force to sticking with craftable weapons and give legendaries to thralls in order to not break eventually.

The change to potion is nice. Not sure why anyone would complain about that. The change is more of a fix for Siptah where you have to get some rng to get the memory potion.
Conan could be such a good game. I really enjoyed it up until sorcery. So many bugs and glitches that they dont seem to care about now
Yeah like the invisible animals on Siptah (Console Server, the servers Funcom always neglects) that is still a thing and was introduced when they first added sorcery
I still enjoy it, even with all the bugs.
@@Mahazioththere is currently another dupe. That's not fun on PvP servers..
Pre 3.0 was the best. Even old ass skyrim does magic better.
Amen! These are all great points I wish I included into the video.
You need to learn beastial memory potions from dropped recipe in Sypta. There is no place to go learn it from.
Like I said, that could have easily been remedied by adding something in game years ago, if it was such an issue.
durability loss and the ability to actually repair legendries should be a server option
It should be for privates.
Can't wait for another game company to make a similar game with less crap to deal with.
It'll be fine just like all the other updates. And you'll keep playing and so will everyone else
Thats true but venting frustration is healthy. :) Its a good counter against fanboys who literally agree to anything because they have been raised to never say no to authority.
Thats a lie, update after 2.8 drove away alot of players, right now it went from 1K to 300 people since they announced the new update.
Rant serious is to be entertaining and educational. Also a reminder that a competent dev team should be looking to find balance for their game rather than making drastic changes to nerf this, buff that etc.
The disconnecting issue is my biggest problem with this game
Something that should have been a top priority, not a new age.
You said it all.
Wine much?
*whine
Did you watch the the whole video ?
I’d also like to know who the hell come up with the buffs and nerfs! How does it make sense to give a thrall/Boss less HP, but make them stronger…that’s LITERALLY reverting back to the way it used to be. Why do they keep screwing with the system and breaking it every time
Bless you! I was starting to think people forgot how it used to be but thank the LORD someone gets it. No sarcasm here at all.
I am a hoarder these days on Conan but I don't spam all over the place or try to hold every meta spot like some do.
The game is literally holding our hands now.
Just use rolling thrust
Already do and will continue to use it, until they nerf it.
Whata a hater. They are doing great job. Yes they deffinetly make some mistakes. Some bigger some smaller. But this rudeness was uncalled for.
@@greenchilistudioz4537 yup that shit sucks too
All I cared about was if they would address the lag so tired of running around and lag lag lag no matter where you go
I gave up on this game over a year ago. The manager needs to be fired.
They don’t take PVP seriously. And I wouldn’t either. Conan PvP looks awful.. attack, roll, attack, roll repeat. It look kinda trash.
But I’m with you on the potions. I liked that you had to go see the hyena dude. But people camp those places 🤷🏻♂️
Despite what people may thing, I have never taken this game serious. The only thing I take serious is Funcoms handling of said game.
Carebear? Dude they are forcing us to use different legendaries by making legendary repair kits crappy, that change is horrible! 💀💀💀
Yes, and what part of the community influenced that change? I used Carebear because they don't fix and address issues they are well aware of, but make drastic changes to a game because "this group" wants it.
@@Mahazioth prob be devs themselves, funny as it turns out you can't even repair legendary weapons and armor . . . I seen many casual players, even ones that make challenging quests that reward legendary in private server with mods got shutdown cause how bad the durability changes.
Whoever wanted these changes are dev got it from snorking all the crystal meth at imp caves or a small minority of elitist nut heads who wish people stop using same legendary on that pve server, even tho they have no business telling people what to do . . . unless!
They don’t have a clue what they’re doing. They’re being lazy and don’t want to make a new map or figure out how to make server transfers work again. It’s too much of a money game for them now
yay new rant content :D
Conan is dying, so FC is going to nerf it to a fast grave while working hard to pull new/return players in to cash shop it dry....
People seem to not remember that this is how funcom has always dealt with issues and "metas" in the game.
I don't get your complain about the potions. It's just easier now, not free. You're telling me I need to go to the volcano just to respec the attributes only?
Also the change to the way of learning the knowledge is to people of Siptah get the knowledge without needing rng
He needs to go outside for a while
I mean you said it, it's easier. Let's cater to the lazy and make life easier. Wait are we talking about America?

I would love to these statistics please. Majority is happy Goomba is going away. Is that what you meant?
Well, that's just false. From what I've seen, most people dislike a lot of these changes. How do you like needing 225 stamina just to do a full combo with a 2H hammer?
