I left PVP for a multitude of reasons. The most shocking one, the one that cause me to leave didn't even happen to ME personally. I was on a well populated server. 28 PVP players in oceania. I had a fairly secure solo base, few well layered, but all inside a structure, nobody really knew that it was 500 hundred plus of powder to get in except for the people who tried. I'm just a solo, most people leave me alone and I had a good relationship with one of the big clans. Gods dropping every day, big bases, constant action. Heaven. Then one day I was riding past the base of a clan I was friendly with. They helped me with base defense so I was dropping off a gift. 1000 grey lotus. I rode up to their base... gone. I got on game chat and asked them... they had no idea. Thralls floating in the sky. Then a few other clans reported in that it happened to them too. An hour later there was 4 people on the server. Me, a 2 person clan that started last week (and they were still l20) and a new guy from that night. I had the only base left on the whole goddam server and I was kitted out the wazoo, I had dozens of T4's, half of them L20, body vaults full of siptah stuff from before the server transfer. Yog bubble stuck on a server with three n00bs. the banned people half trolled me by saying that they thought I was next because I still had some ages old wall stacking. So... I just turned the game off.
I will be making a video discussing the dev wipes we went through and the responses from Funcom about it. It's absurd that they don't even give you a chance to fix the supposed issue, where is the warning system? Nope just wipe everything that took months. Nice.
@@MahaziothThe thing from my perspective was that as a solo, I was essentially reduced to end single player and 100% of my friends\enemies just disappeared and THEY WERE ONLINE AT THE TIME. Funcom could easily have let everyone know what\why as the server pop was 28 at the time. Despite being essentially the last man standing and having missed the hitlist my base in barracks basement was highly loaded with legacy wall stacking, so I accepted the inevitable and just left as well.
They don't play their own game and if they do it's pve related. So if they don't play their own game and don't listen to the community, the changes are here to stay.
If they got rid of quick footed i would like to see some dodge based passives. Also them saying pvp servers you have to be on to protect your base man this isnt another job just nerf the bubble make it have a cooldown so its can only be used every 3 days or so

Like you said, all questions apart from them related to the new perge system where ignored except for the two main ones about invisible animals and siptah issues which where replied with “it will be fixed in next patch”. Where was the apology for the mess up with foundation picecs where hundreds of players lost months of building?? And why did Dennis have to leave the stream so early? Surely they should have done the stream when he had plenty of timee so that he could answer questions that the public are crying out for answers too. I saw 8 people ask the same question - " When are server transfers coming back?" and this was blaintently ignored. Dennis needs to go after just abandoning the stream the way he did, it waslike a big stuff you to the player base. PS the ending was classic :D

The showcasing of the update alone proves points I have made for over a year and the lack of ability to properly schedule a stream so he could be there for the whole stream, utter nonsense. They aren't changing the game in positive manners, they aren't fixing the game and most of these updates are just about things you can buy. It's sad cause the core game itself has so much potential, but, in the current hands it remains on life support.
they fixed a lot of, bugs, like traveling with a thralls in the map room, and sitting on a chair😅, i would love to see how they do on pvp without god mode, hopefully we will be able to block attacks with swords instead of rolling one days
I would say they better add battle formations to thralls maybe add some ladders to climb on the walls , maybe add battering rams rather than those thrall to take down the gate , make it more like age of war , it would transform the game kinda toward banner lord but hey it would be a good change for people
Purge shouldn't be opt in Not exactly a purge if you can chose when it happens and it just takes away from the danger :/ Hopefully they add an option for that
I get they want people to have more to do but I do agree. Maybe after doing so many purges a bar fills like the current purge system and sends a god at your base, why not at this point.

Everyone will just build under the map or skybases. They have ruined too many base locations, first with the sorcery bat, and now with the removal of bubbles..
One of the biggest problems with dev groups is they sell out to trashy corporations like Tencent. All these big companies want is money, money, money. They don't care if the stuff in their pay shop is absolute garbage as long as players keep shelling out cash. All the good stuff gets nerfed to hell and the crap stays. Why would they say an arrow goes too far? The bow is meant for range. I have used a bow for years because I like using them. A weapon does damage regardless of how close or far you are. Do any other weapons do less damage depending on relation of distance? If you can reach you do damage. If everyone is picking up a bow suddenly then it's time to look at WHY players are all turning to bows. Have there been too many changes to other weapons and players feel the need to use something that hasn't been nerfed to hell? Or maybe it's because it's the only ranged weapon in the game. Give them options for ranged weapons instead. Have they thought that all the changes to stamina might be forcing more people into agility builds? Orbs are a pita. They are EXTREMELY heavy. I was so excited to use the new Zath religion and have spider orbs........ until I used them. They get hit once and die. So useless. The fire orbs barely do any damage to enemies. I quickly went back to my gas arrows. He answers the question Wak asked in chat. All those people asking good questions but they single out a content creator that pumps out videos on their game? Convenient. The ages was a good idea in theory. It's supposed to add actual content, extend game play and use existing lore. Instead they contradict their own lore, add useless game mechanics and do not give players what they really want. How many players use sorcery? It takes a ridiculous amount of time to cast one spell. The spells are all utility only. The zombies may come in small numbers but are so weak they get hit once and insta die. Thralls and pets are complete trash until you level them all the way and even then a lot of them still suck thanks to that nerf.
I am not a pvp player. As a metter of fact I probably have under 50 hours playing on pvp server out of 3k+ total Conan hours. So I rely on wisdom of you my dear hard core exiles. To defend a base is a nightmare since age of sorcery, the bubble will be gone and the gods, even though with damage nerfed, being stronger (10 min. is a long time). You can not rely on building as that only sliws down, but does not protect you from a mighty bombs or even arrows. Thralls are a joke even at level 20 (i am not talking about animals, they do not even exist in my book). All the changes are done to help the raider, but bo mechanics have been implemented to help the defender. Am I missing something?
The team has admitted they would rather see their game privatized (private servers), that statement would lead one to assume they don't really want to run their pvp servers. I guess they want the chaos to help chase people off. Bigger clans already server hop and have one goal in mind, to wipe the server. The changes they implement just encourages that play style OR hide like a rat and body vault even more.
If you take a start metal cleaver in to the grove and chop up the final boss with the expertise setting and advanced tool improvement you'll get about 150 zeal in 20 mins not even speed running. In an hour you can collect tar and brim for about 200 powder. While ALSO collecting 150 zeal probably twice. The only thing that slows you down is the Bull boss glitching so you can't do the runs back to back. 30 mins is safe though You just need about 10 fridges for all the flesh as it only creates 1 stacks. No wall stack. No god bubble. EVERY 2 hours you can build ~400 powder and more or less a god passively. I'm just a solo. I lit up 4 T3 alters in 4 days and had them all mostly charged. To protect myself from clans bigger than me I walled the sht out of crev, all the current tricks... and killed the server. Anyone in render range would be crashed out of the game, and their gear just sat there. There is no way to defend yourself. Either you crash the game or an admin deletes you base. A competent 6 man clan can still god+bomb in to one of my uber bases in less than 30 mins. You can't really 'play' PVP. you get too powerful and you are deleted. If you are small enough you stay indefensible.
@@egis511I'm on XBOX. It's called flesh of Remembrance. It was 90% nerfed about 18 months ago but IMHO still the number #1 way of getting zeal as you can double it up with tar runs rather than looping defari camps or doing the black galleon. Plus, one a hectic server I'm usually the only one doing the loop so I don't have to be as 'combat ready'. When you do that loop though you probably want a t4 bearer or rhino with you to carry the skins and maximise your player slots. I find that most commonly it'll fill up every slot I have and I'll lose the ability to get the maximum amount. Sorry I was using shorthand by just calling the flesh zeal. Before doing this you want to ensure you have at least large sized fridges set up. Then Add it in to the alter in batches to make sure it doesn't rot in the stacks while converting to zeal. From memory it'll last about 1.5 hours in the alter, and each flesh takes 2 mins, so batches of about 60-70 at a time is safe to convert. I have not done this since the last update but the patch notes have no nerf recently and I regularly used this technique a few months ago. This only works on non jhebbel sag alters of course. Strictly speak it's not 'much' faster, maybe 20-30%, but the true advantage is that you can farm your bombs mats at the same time as farming god zeal. This is a solo approach but if a clan all did this they would become a god\bomb factory.

You can use the ones you get from named priests, but not from the dungeon. Maybe, they fixed this exploit on ps, cause it does sound op as hell. The straight line attack is just lazy programing. Yes, I rather they have formations and the demolisher should be armed with the ram rod full time and can bump you off flying but it's just very plain just like the normal purge. Yes, spot on. Conan is not DarkSouls and it's not hard at all.
If you're new to the game, sure it's fun and there feels to be a challenge. Spend some time playing it and you learn quickly it doesn't take a lot of skill.

Bows should be nerfed at short range, not long range where they're meant to be used. Doesn't make any sense, especialy when there's a perk that increases projectile damage against distant targets. Besides, it's already hard enough to hit moving target, especialy with the lag. And even against static NPCs it's not uncommon for arrows to simply go through them or hit some kind of "invisible" obstacle.
I still love the game, but elephant mounts and trebuchet purges pushed off to chapter 3? ho hum, I hope a level 10 purge is worth fighting otherwise my game character will go back to being a staggering alcoholic.

They should add more dungens that are harder to get imposible loot with new puzles but they rather add crap that just brakes game to balance to balance to balance and sell you stuff that you dont need and could get via mode.

Let's see when age of sorcery came out it brought with it one shot maces, dupe exploit with the dismantling bench, unlimited god bubbles, invincible golems, golems would crash people, golems also if punched would be attacked by all other thralls in the radius, infinite dragon powder exploit which still works, ability to crash a server with DLC they added into the shop during age of sorcery, ability to knock out thralls that are untamable, the controller exploit, pay to win armor and dlc, I could keep going. Then Age of War came out and people, bosses, ai and weapons go invisible even more than before, Siptah which has been unplayable for quite some time now, they just addressed it in the livestream, mind you, that's paid DLC and I will not mention more for age of war cause guess what, they still work and even some I listed have yet to be fixed. We could also discuss the ability for people to live in the mesh and sky bases, an issue that has existed for years. What did they do? Gave them teleporters. Cheaters run rampant on official servers and the response time from Funcom takes well over a week, by that time the cheater is on an alt account. The report meta has been an issue for years and yet they still do no real research into their tickets and innocent people get wiped by Funcom because of mass reporting. I would like to remind you this is a fully released game. It has had time to be polished and worked on but all they seem to care about is more money and less interaction with the community. Experienced players play the test live to learn new bugs and exploits because guess what, they transfer over to the live version every time.

Reporting did kill this game. You basically have to play with 5 alts to survive.

I miss the days when Joel and yen were in charge... It's sad. Conan exile is amazing game. It's just in the hands of the wrong people

It was 90% nerfed about 18 months ago but IMHO still the number #1 way of getting zeal as you can double it up with tar runs rather than looping defari camps or doing the black galleon. Plus, one a hectic server I'm usually the only one doing the loop so I don't have to be as 'combat ready'. When you do that loop though you probably want a t4 bearer or rhino with you to carry the skins and maximise your player slots. I find that most commonly it'll fill up every slot I have and I'll lose the ability to get the maximum amount.
Sorry I was using shorthand by just calling the flesh zeal.
Before doing this you want to ensure you have at least large sized fridges set up. Then Add it in to the alter in batches to make sure it doesn't rot in the stacks while converting to zeal. From memory it'll last about 1.5 hours in the alter, and each flesh takes 2 mins, so batches of about 60-70 at a time is safe to convert.
I have not done this since the last update but the patch notes have no nerf recently and I regularly used this technique a few months ago.
This only works on non jhebbel sag alters of course.
Strictly speak it's not 'much' faster, maybe 20-30%, but the true advantage is that you can farm your bombs mats at the same time as farming god zeal.
This is a solo approach but if a clan all did this they would become a god\bomb factory.
@@nathanielacton3768 I understood what you meant, its just that on ps4/ps5 once you put it into alter ot comes out darken and you can not use it. You can use the ones you get from named priests, but not from the dungeon. Maybe, they fixed this exploit on ps, cause it does sound op as hell. The straight line attack is just lazy programing. Yes, I rather they have formations and the demolisher should be armed with the ram rod full time and can bump you off flying but it's just very plain just like the normal purge.

Bows should be nerfed at short range, not long range where they're meant to be used. Doesn't make any sense, especialy when there's a perk that increases projectile damage against distant targets. Besides, it's already hard enough to hit moving target, especialy with the lag. And even against static NPCs it's not uncommon for arrows to simply go through them or hit some kind of "invisible" obstacle.
To add to that wonderful comment, also the issue where the bow does not recognize your arrows and you can't fire it. Happens all the time.

Ah they make the answer. "we dont make the changes without good reason" bulshit. They dont know what they doo, in last 2 years i played few hours because i join game start play and realize its buggy and borring and the cash shops are a scam, they want you do grindy crap to get usless stuff. If you play so litle most of the time you play is le learn what to do that you previously mastered. And they call it developing but is rather just waste of time. They should add more dungens that are harder to get imposible loot with new puzles but they rather add crap that just brakes game to balance to balance to balance and sell you stuff that you dont need and could get via mode.

Load of crap funcom trying 2 get rid of single-players and small clans. Shop is a scam. I didn't play conan pvp to have a nice table with food or maze or bath set. Funcon should sell the game so some1 make it into decent game

Let's see when age of sorcery came out it brought with it one shot maces, dupe exploit with the dismantling bench, unlimited god bubbles, invincible golems, golems would crash people, golems also if punched would be attacked by all other thralls in the radius, infinite dragon powder exploit which still works, ability to crash a server with DLC they added into the shop during age of sorcery, ability to knock out thralls that are untamable, the controller exploit, pay to win armor and dlc, I could keep going.
Then Age of War came out and people, bosses, ai and weapons go invisible even more than before, Siptah which has been unplayable for quite some time now, they just addressed it in the livestream, mind you, that's paid DLC and I will not mention more for age of war cause guess what, they still work and even some I listed have yet to be fixed.
We could also discuss the ability for people to live in the mesh and sky bases, an issue that has existed for years. What did they do? Gave them teleporters. Cheaters run rampant on official servers and the response time from Funcom takes well over a week, by that time the cheater is on an alt account. The report meta has been an issue for years and yet they still do no real research into their tickets and innocent people get wiped by Funcom because of mass reporting. I would like to remind you this is a fully released game. It has had time to be polished and worked on but all they seem to care about is more money and less interaction with the community. Experienced players play the test live to learn new bugs and exploits because guess what, they transfer over to the live version every time.
