The Easy French Diet is what we eat my family & myself and recommend to my clients (I adapt the quantities and macros according to age, height, weight and activity). This is the traditional French way of eating (taught by my parents), but I simplify and adapt it to fit my busy schedule. More than a diet, it's a lifestyle to be healthy, maintaining a healthy weight and aging well. It’s cooking whole food and eating very simple, balanced and delicious meals with easy French recipes!
I delete all rude comments. This channel is a hobby of mine. It’s a space for people who love to eat and cook, and share this passion.

Hello again. I am watching for the third time. You videos put me in a good mood. Especially on the night before the US election 😢. Merci. Joseph.
Lovely looking stew that you made. I like to use mutti tomatoes when i make shakshuka. Thank you 🌟
Hello. Thanks ☺️ what is shakshuka?
@easyfrenchdiet i'ts peppers onion garlic and canned tomatoes and you break eggs in to the tomatoes as i'ts cooking, and the eggs cook in the tomato sauce. I add some chilli and dried herbs and then olive oil. Delicious with some bread to dip in to it🌟
Sometimes crumble some feta cheese on top
Sounds delicious 😋 thanks I'm going to try!
Your welcome🌻@@easyfrenchdiet
Delicious Food Thank you for sharing ❤❤

Such simple good quality food, very inspiring. Thank you for sharing your day.

How do you eat the endive with your meal? Using it as a scoop?
Hello, if you look at my plate you will see endives cut in it. I eat them either in salad like here with vinaigrette, or cooked. Thanks for watching, have a nice evening.
I just found your channel, and I am enjoying it so much. Your family is very lucky to have such delicious and healthy meals prepared by you.
I'm glad you like it 😊
I have started adding a bit of cheese to my lunch and dinner as well as sourdough bread and find I don't get hungry or cravings between meals. Thank you! Our American dietary guidelines are so different but encourage 3 meals and 2 snacks each day which is a problem for me that I'm trying to overcome.
Hello. Thanks for your feedback 😊 yes it is surprising as a recommendation for adults. If we eat dinner very late it seems logical to have a snack possibly in the afternoon around 5 o'clock but otherwise we do not need it if we eat enough at mealtime. Have a nice day.
They do not eat all that fruit 😊😅
Bonjour, do you cover the pot with the lid during cooking or not?
It's better with a lid but I often forget!
I love the simplicity of your meals
Thanks 😊
You have a lovely speaking voice. Thanks for getting me back into cooking at home by showing how healthy and easy it can be…not to forget delicious 😋
Thanks 😊 Yes exactly, eating healthy doesn't have to be complicated. and no one has time for complicated things anyway. Have a nice day!
Thank you, I really enjoy your videos and find them inspiring and educational. Great to hear your voice.
Thank for your feedback! Have a nice day 🙂
😍👍🏻
Thank you
Glad you like it!🙂

Hello. I am enjoying how your videos are progressing. Your content is informative and comforting. Very nice of you to share the sights of Paris as you walk to meetings, work or home. Merci. Josef.
Thanks for your feedback 😌 yes I like to share recipes and also film Paris when I walk, hence these videos which mix a bit of the two. Have a nice evening ✨
Love your vlogs sooo much!’❤
Thanks for your feedback! Have a nice evening ✨
the veal looks so dilicious and so does the cheese and bread 🤤
Hello. Yes it was delicious 😋 thanks
I use your video to motive myself to eat better. I allow myself one or two breaks per week to eat whatever what I want. And then watching your video to give myself an extra push to get back consuming better food. 😊
Hello. Glad that it can be useful 😊 thanks for watching!
Merci beaucoup 😊
Wow, you packed in a lot of great info into that episode! You have a very knowledgeable and sensible voice in the food/nutrition world. I would love to hear your thoughts on breaking a sugar addiction to be able to eat less carbs. Thanks for all you do to educate us.
Hello. Thanks ☺️ Sugar cravings are becoming more and more common due to the rise of processed sugary foods everywhere. Indeed we must distinguish between natural carbohydrates and processed ones because it is the processed ones that pose a problem as they dysregulate our hunger clues and blood glucose. The first solution is to remove these items and to cook satisfying meals with enough protein and natural fats. The second would be to try to eat low carbs for a while in order to try to get rid of this appetite for sweets. I hope this can help you a bit. Thanks for watching, have a nice evening ✨
Love watching your videos. It is a very visual way for me to see how much food is adequate and it keeps me inspired on my healthy eating journey to see you cooking from scratch so much.
Thanks. I'm very glad to know that they are helpful 😊
Nice to hear you! Greetings from Germany ❤️
Thank you! 😃
Very inspiring video thank you x
Glad you enjoyed it!
I have just come across your channel, the content is excellent. Do you have any list of recipes you use for ease of reference?. Are there any good books you recommend that replicate the simplicity of your cooking. Thanks again x
Hello. Yes, I have two books that I show in some videos, including an old book of very basic French recipes and another one that features my mother's recipes. And I have also very simple recipes that I have in mind and that I like. But as a general rule, I would say that I try to think ahead and make a meal plan for the week and prepare as much as possible in advance what I can on Sunday. And I also try to eat the simplest ingredients and dishes possible because you have to stay realistic if you want to be able to cook every night. Thanks for watching, have a nice day.
Thank you for your videos. I'm 67 and want to lose a few pounds. It gets harder when your older. I'm going to try following your way of eating. I'm in America and it's hard to find bread without sugar. I guess I'll try making my own.
Yes, that's what people from the US actually say about bread in the comments. But if you can do it yourself, it will be even better! Thanks for watching, have a nice day.
I'm new to your channel and I enjoy the meal preping, I was in Paris back in 1986 with some friends and we loved it there. Thank you for sharing the Olympic torch parade.
You are Welcome!!
Good advice for a healthy and pleasant life. I'm glad to be reminded.
Thanks for watching, glad you like 😊
very nice and informative video
Thanks 😌
Thank you for the videos. I notice you don’t eat many legumes. Is that a personal preference. My family is of Italian heritage and we eat them a lot. They are pretty inexpensive & healthy.
hello, i eat vegetables mostly for the taste because they taste delicious and a little bit for the bacteria and minerals and vitamin c. but i don't rely on them for the b vitamins and fat soluble vitamins or minerals that are more bioavailable in animal products like eggs, meat and dairy. Recommendations are 1/3 to 1/2 plate per meal. so if you enjoy eating them you do you, but there's no point eating tons of them for health reasons. Thanks for watching ☺️
You forgot Aperol!
Yes an aperitif on a terrace facing the sun with friends ☺️
Do you recommend to avoid dairy when trying to lose weight?
Hello. I don't, unless you are intolerant. Dairy products are a great source of protein and calcium,. Have a nice day ☺️
So good. Thank you
Thanks for watching ☺️
I live in the U.S. but I have adopted these habits. ❤ I also buy my fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, and cheeses from local farms. I bake my own bread. It is sad though that in the U.S. eating this way all depends on the ability to afford it. Not everyone can and if you do not live in an agriculturally good area, it can be hard. In Europe I know people have more access to good quality food than we do in the U.S. It is such a sin I think that in the U.S. healthy food is not accessible to all like it tends to be in Europe.
Hello. Yes, sometimes it's complicated indeed. but even in the supermarket, buying whole foods even if they are not so great it is still so much better than buying processed products. Have a nice day 😊
This was such a fun video!
Thanks 😊
A naturalised South Korean diaspora American here. Whether it be here in The States or on the peninsula of my origin, there wasn't any French fermented milk. I lived in Western Canada and they didn't have such. Is there any ways for me to make that at home? FYI, the American ferment specialist said to make buttermilk with acid, then add whole milk to make lait ribot. I'm not sure how close the finished product will be to the authentic lait ribot...
Hello, You can make ribot milk with raw milk but I have never tried it. Let me know if you try! Thanks for watching, have a nice evening ✨
@@easyfrenchdietThank you very much your reply! If I ever get to make it, I'll update you. Meanwhile, please take care of your brilliant mind! Your posts helped me with my PTSD and your reply brought back the Joie de vivre!
Cooking from scratch can be healthier, I don’t understand the need to slather olive oil all over the chicken, there’s enough fat in the chicken without adding more?
Hello. olive oil makes the skin much crispier when it cooks and also gives a very good taste. i also add tarragon to the inside of the chicken. fat is necessary for us, the membrane of our cells is made of 70% fat. It is the excess that is the problem and industrial oils. when we eat normally there is no problem for health.
Yes very good advice. I'm very rarely if ever hungry between meals because when the meals are well balanced you dont need want or crave snacks🌼🦂
Yes exactly. Thanks for watching, have a nice day 😊
The problem today's 21st century cooking at home is that, even our ingredients are denatured, even if it's labeled to be healthy but it has additives, fillers, etc etc etc. even olive oils known to be healthy, some brands are mixing it with canola, soy oils (secretly) and even our seasonings are dangerous, that is why being strict on our laws also has a crucial role on people's health. Good for France's strict laws on foods. Cooking with simple ingredients and herbs are the way to go, lucky to have that France has organic produce.
Yes true. Thanks for watching ☺️
@@solangelauthier2381 here in the Philippines, there's organic food available but only available in the provinces and some suburban areas, organic produce in the city is expensive as well. Many food supplies here are imported from the USA and European countries, that only the rich can afford
You are what you eat. There are no excuses for being fat. Being fat is so first world and stupid.
People have lost this perspective
@@laurablake8330 I realise that reads very harshly, but just over 100 years ago we in the west; I’m British, was worried about malnutrition by starvation, for the poor. Today, it is the poor that are fat.
@@mikewinston8709 The poor live on junk food. Food stamps should only cover real food.
@ Correct. People that eat junk food are stupid; too stupid to look after their body’s.
Another French health habit is the abundance of local markets selling fresh produce. In the UK we are much more reliant on chain supermarkets. I live in London and there are now two farmer's markets within walking distance but only once a week and recently established; in Paris I would walk past multiple small and larger markets every day with fresh, domestically grown produce to buy on the way home from work.
Hello. Yes, but be careful, not all stands are necessarily authentic. Often they are just resellers. We can recognize real farmers who grow their own vegetables thanks to their crates that are brown and have no brands on it' Thanks for sharing, have a nice day ☺️
So true eat healthy and avoid empty carbs
Hello. Yes eating healthy is very simple. Thanks for watching ☺️
My mother is 91, I look after her. She has always eaten well; we grew up eating a varied diet and as a result, my five siblings and I are not overweight. We were not well-off, but we grew vegetables and there was an abundance of native wild vegetables that we have here in NZ, like watercress, which we like to cook with boiled meat, similar to pot-au-feu. Your meals are lovely with nice ideas for me to copy. My mother loves a dressed lettuce salad with small pieces of camembert cheese in it.😊
Hello. Idon't think I've ever eaten watercress. I have to try it, you're making me want some! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Excellent tips … thank you
