You've convinced me to finally buy Christmas Village -- your WIP is beautiful!

We had unexpected snow here on the coast of NC. Our first since 2018!! I have to be careful saying that around here because most people here don't want snow. 😁 It was awesome! I love Proverbs 31! ❤ There's a lovely Jewish tradition where every Friday before the Sabbath, we have a ceremony called kiddush. We light the candles, say a few blessings, drink wine, eat challah, and husbands recite Proverbs 31 over their wives as a blessing. I love it! It was great to see your progress; and I look forward to seeing all of your new starts! Happy stitching! 😊 Ps. I feel guilty unsubscribing from other Flosstube channels too. And I feel bad when I recommend a Flosstuber on my channel and then they stop posting videos. 😂 I feel like I've committed false advertising. 🤣

What a GENIUS idea to use that block calendar for those Waxing Moon Design houses! I have been eyeing that calendar for a while because I think it could show off so many smaller finishes in the display. 😊

I collect flosstubes, hahaha! I can't unsubscribe to anyone because I feel bad, just because I know what those numbers can feel like, lol! I love your flosstube and tend to watch most people on 2x, so you're not too fast for me! :D I add videos to my "Watch Later" list so that I don't lose them. So, every few days, I'll go to my subscriptions page and add all the videos I missed to my "Watch Later" list. then I can just let it play through the list whenever I have time for some flosstube watching!

I like Sulky black. 123 Stitch has a video on UA-cam about how to do stand-up and it’s exactly the way I do it, also Helen D has a good tutorial. They’re not as hard as you would think.

I don’t feel you talk fast at all! Love listening to your plans for upcoming stitching! I am just starting to stitch the monthly Quakers like Sarah W for the Paisleys and Polkadot calendar. I have stitched January and February and am working on March. I hope to be able to be one month ahead but we shall see! I love what you are stitching for it!!❤❤

What is the sampler on the wall behind you, please?

Prairie Schooler Village is so high on my wish list. I love your start, and that antique white is a great choice for that piece. I agree that December is a hard month for productive stitching.....I'm toying with starting that one for "Jolly July". July plans always feel very optimistic when I make them in January - ha!

I enjoy your FlossTube! I like your fast talking. I tend to not watch the ladies who talk slowly or at least lay attention less. I highly recommend The Tattooed Stitcher and The Seattle Stitcher. I watch every episode of theirs.

No snow here. Today and tomorrow are mild and then we are headings into 4 days of 100 degree heat and no doubt there will be a concern with bushfires but that is Summer in Australia.

I was so excited to hear you talk about Winter, Sampler of the Seasons. I just pulled out my project bag with mine all kitted up and plan on starting today or tomorrow. Thank you for helping me find the Summer and Spring ones. I had a chance to go to Shepard's Bush this fall and they helped me find fabric for all three of these. ( Autumn is done!). Your plan with the anniversary charts - the Blackbird ones for your family is so cool! Are you going to put their birth year in the date and then the initials elsewhere? Or are the initials going where the date is on the chart? Happy 2025!

I totally understand your struggle with the symmetry in the sampler. I prefer symmetry myself. Sometimes I make adjustments to glaring differences other times I embrace the unique features of the piece. It’s ok to make it reflect what you like. It’s your sampler now. Make it what you love! No one will notice but you!

I’m in Northern California and today totally felt like the beginning of spring! It was so wonderful, I decided to clean out my greenhouse. Tomorrow, there’s rain in the forecast. Good morning Alana. I totally understand the symmetry conversation. My eye tends to see that as well. In fact I make mistakes in stitching because of it. Sometimes I think it's an optical illusion when I look back and forth between my stitched piece and the pattern. Do whatever works for you but the important thing is finishing the piece for your daughter-in-law. It's great to have a Canadian stitching friend!

Can you name the 2 red ornaments that are on yourtree?

There are helpful videos for Mark up xp. It does have a learning curve but once you get it you will never go back to paper. Let me know if I can help you

You are so normal and I love it and totally relate. I, however, will not be able to no-buy on patterns due to fomo and patterns have a way of disappearing. No unicorns for me. I will allow myself to kit one pattern once a month. Patterns are easy to store and kits are expensive and become bulky to store. And I avoid having too many wips this way.
