After seeing your stunning Peacock Manor canvas, I immediately ran to Hobby Lobby before they closed to get the fabric you recommended and floss! I was so impressed w your piece, I attempted one over one on 25 Lugana for the first time. Unfortunately, while I love the way the stitches looked, my eyes immediately started to hurt! Huge thank you for sharing this project, I’m really enjoying working on this. Thank you for sharing
Leslie my eyes are not the best but I am really finding it a big help to use magnifying glasses. I already wear reading specs so I add a pair of clip on magnifiers. It really helps.

You mentioned wanting to do FLORAL MOTIF SAMPLER. Buy it! I'm stitching it now as I listen to your video. It's so beautiful stitched and so rewarding. A short stitching period will yield a completed flower or two, depending on the size, and you feel like you've really made an accomplishment, and you have. Great video!

Strawberry picking was part of my childhood in New Jersey. The farms would announce when you could come and pick your own, and my Mom would take me and we would pick for as long as we could. We would also pick peaches, blueberries, blackberries, and apples in their appropriate seasons.

I have been considering This is the Day... and you have convinced me to buy it. Also the Little House Needleworks Neighbor looks so cute! Just my style! So that has moved back to my shopping list, too. Thank you for being an inspiration to set aside time to stitch my WIPS and finish! Your Strawberry Fields sampler is beautiful! I loved seeing your children’s birthsamplers. I stitched 4 of them for my kids and they have birthdates similar to yours. My next 4 kids didn’t get one😕 I started one for my 5th child but never finished it and then I found knitting and knit the next 3 kids baby items. I hope you enjoy your trip to Maine. I lived there for 9 years and it’s beautiful in the summer. I don’t know of any LNS in Maine, but there is one in Littleton, Massachusetts- The World in Stitches-( my local LNS and I think it’s the New Hampshire stitchers too). Happy Anniversary!🙂

Love the birth samplers. Personally I would not reframe them. That is part of their history. I would paint a special rectangle on a wall and collage hang them. Think if the rectangle as a "mat" for the samplers and then "frame" the rectangle outline with wood trim of your choice. Don't try to match the samplers to room color etc. They will work based on sentiment. I hope this makes sense. Love your videos

Great video Alana I so enjoy watching you. I love the brith samplers you did for your children and I had a thought, rather than invest more money into re-framing them what about making a wall quilt that would have all of your children's sampler and that could hang on the grand babies bedroom wall. I made my daughter a cross stitch piece in the 80's and stuck it away in a box. I came across it after my granddaughter was born and I made it into a small wall hanging that she still has and she is now 11. Just a thought, frames are sooooo expensive.
That is such a great idea. I’m not sure I have the skills to do that though!
