This happened to me. She ran off and I was busy grabbing stuff on the bridge. And then they wasted her. We took vengeance but damn.

Ahh, yes, all the classics. White man as a weak villain. Desecration of the good symbols (paladins as bad guys). A hyper-muscular female. (with a victim syndrome that is one of the safest modes in extreme left society we live in today) BG3 truly is a paragon of Woke Cult.

How does Karlach know Wyll has a leader 🤔

Hey, just so you all know; there is a tiefling at the top of that bridge who will tell you to shove off then run. You can jump to her and shove her off the cliff and itll bypass lae'zels cutscene, put the 5 gith on alert (youre undetected) and you can take the fight from the top of the bridge without Lae'Zel commiting seppooku. (The teifling does not die, the gith finish her. No worry Mr.Paladin.) Youre welcome.

Coming across her the first time had me like holy shit, she's on fire, i need to do something. I asked if she was ok, trusting her(didn't know she was a companion, I was new to the game) I had Tav, Shadowheart, Lae'zel & Astarion, I subbed out Astarion & never subbed her out, I'm now in Act 3, just beat Ansur, completed the Murder Tribunal & defeated Orin the Red. Karlach is one of my favorite Characters & she's a character I will always take for all my future playthroughs & I will do a Origin playthrough as her.

Between karlach having the "trying too hard" syndrome and the inconsistency of being able to get destroyed in 2 hits in that battle, it's a wonder why she's so popular.

It seems like the players who mod the game and make videos about it have the absolute worst sense of style, and they also don't care about immersion at all. You all have ridiculous looking modded hair and outfits that look like you got teleported in from another universe. I mod my characters too but I make sure their appearance still fits the world and doesn't shatter my immersion every time they're on screen. It's the same thing with Skyrim mods. 90% of the players want to look like ridiculous anime characters who traveled to Tamriel through the multi-verse or something. You can still look cool and stand out without relying on skimpy clothing and modern hairstyles.

in one play through when she runs off to talk to them i was afk and when i came back and climbed down the cliff she was dead they killed her and i had to reload, I thought they would just stand there and wait for me. Now i see what happened lol

best I've seen from Karlach is when she speaks to us directly as gamers, that was trippy and awesome, lol.

How did you get it so the player character talks?

This is what I got in my first playthrough. The paladins were too difficult for me, so I set up an ambush on the top floor and Karlach walked in by herself as a bait. It became a pretty cool way to kill them, because Tav and the party got to see for themselves how evil they are and the paladins didn't expect us coming.

This is a much better excuse for going the murder route with the Flaming Fist detachment than just taking Karlach's word for it that they're secretly evil. They outright admit taking Zariel's orders.

That hair for wyll is so much better than his default one. Was jarring to see so many npcs later down the line that had wyll’s exact haircut

god i hate wyll...i always say "shut up dickhead" in my head every time he speaks or "nobody likes you wyll" i find him the worst out of all characters tbh

I lost La’zel in 2 honor play throughs because I went to camp when she ran off to grab another character which triggered her to die. Also tried to use command before the dialogue and she went hostile.

I just had this encounter yesterday in my origin Gale playthrough with Karlach, Wyll and Shadowheart present. Was surprised to see the masks off immediately, but Karlach wasn't alone...

She seems slightly irritated at the end there.

You know, one thing about the contract to kill Karlach has never sat right with me... she DOESN'T qualify for it. The contract says "the heartless" and Mizorra makes a grand deal about "haha she doesn't have a physical heart so you have to kill her", but she does. Just because it's a metal contraption doesn't mean it isn't her heart. If someone without a physical heart would qualify for the contract, then someone with a replacement heart would unqualify.

How do you trigger this? I did this in my Dark Urge playthrough. Wyll was without my tav when meeting Karlach, and I controlled Wyll's dialogue options.

This game is amazing.

I’m good at killing demons. I’m level 1 and get one shot by most of them, but darn am I good :) Always thought the in depth backstories of dnd combine with the fact that you start at level 1 and could die from a stiff breeze to be funny.
