I own one that is similar. Danby is the brand, I bought it about 13 years ago and it is still going strong to this day. It has a "better" remote than yours, but truth be told...gimmic. Set and forget, the remote is mostly an ornament that can get lost in the cushions just as easy as the TV remote does. 600 square foot space, the unit is technically underpowered. But that never became an issue, I am comfortable in the den space that has no ventilation, with a PC that pumps out a lot of heat when I game. The AC unit sits in the dining/balcony door space. Due to humidity, draining it is a must. I live on the ground floor, so a short tube to slip through the screen door corner and I can direct it to drain on the grass. This may not be a good solution for others in upper floors, but it is a must. I tried using a bucket, but found that humidity was hit and miss from day to day. Some days, no moisture at all. Others, the thing is full before I get out of bed 6 hours after last emptying it, walking into a wet spot on the floor is not pleasant in the morning. Suffice to say, I cannot live without it. If the place was larger, I would likely need a larger one or a second one. They are not quiet. But you do get accustomed to their noise and eventually tune it out.

I turned my single hose Sharp 12,00btu into a twin hose without any hose?? What I did was to push the AC into one of the sliding doors and close the one door onto it. Fill the void that's left as the AC unit is much shorter than the sliding doors, So I filled the void with some good foam board. about 1 inch thick and cut to size, a giant rectangle. So both the hot air is exhausted directly outside no hose! and the incoming outside air is also drawn from outside as the vents are on the side and behind the unit that stick out the back of the sliding doors. The interior air that's recirculated is drawn from inside the room as it's on the top back side that does not stack out the house. Just a few inches between air inlet filter and the foam board but enough room to draw ONLY the inside air. Now I have a portable AC that works great and no need to have install of some fancy spilt unit.. Just make sure one has a sliding door NOT window as the unit is too heavy to lift up to window and could topple over! Sliding doors to the rescue💖

Great bike I've done almost 5000 miles on mine just keep an eye onto the center pivet bit where I goes trough the frame as the bolt will wear out the frame and the suspension will become compromised and could eventually snap the problem is a stainless pin going trough a aluminium surround so it were it out, they should have put a sleave in side that could have been changed, but then that's why is so cheap, but all in I've ridden it every day for 1 1/2 years and can say it's been a joy the only electrical problem I had was the peadle sensor but that was cheep to replace from amazon for £8, I have replaced 2 tyres, chain, freewheel, 2 disks and pads, the battery is still good and I do 18 mile round trip with still 50%battery left I found out that once it gets down to 30% it will run out pretty quickly.

Had one for a few weeks, compared to others similar on the market this is by far the best. Seats really comfy, breaks could be better, speed on the throttle is good and a lot of fun to ride

I can't really understand how big is your apartment. You said 600 square feet but what kind of feet? What size? It's not really clear unless you tell us how big are these feet....

Why would you think it sucks before using it? These kinds of portable units are used all over the place in europe, especially in older buildings where you are not allowed to install the outside units....

I have a one hose Honeywell...14000...it cools my dining room and living room..dont know price difference between one and two hose..?

I recommend the midea dual hose or wheynter somthing like that dual hose too.

Does this come with the SiriusXM app already installed? I assume it's the streaming app and not the satellite app? Have you tried it? I'm curious as to how it sounds through Bluetooth. My 2024 Jetta doesn't come with SiriusXM, and using my phone is a bit too small. I'm trying to find a screen like this that I can use the app on directly, and not use carplay. This is the first model I've seen with SiriusXM.

you want to keep it as close to window as possible possibly even higher up on some stand, in order for a hose to be as short as possible.. Because the hose can get really hot and you don't want a bigger surface of hot hose heating up the space while you're trying to cool it..

I purchased two of these for my townhouse - a dual hose for the main floor and single hose upstairs. The single hose one "worked" but when compared to the dual hose one the difference was night and day. The dual hose one is far superior.

My landlord will not allow ac.He thinks its too much bill.Definitely he’ll come to know when hot air going through hose. Is thr any other way ?? How can i put that hose so nobody can know about AC.

You gave the footage of your apartment but didn’t give a starting temperature or a temperature after cooling for an hour or so. If it takes an hour to drop one degree, ugh. If it takes and hour but the room temp drops 6-8 degrees, yay. Also, why not give the outside temperature?

Don't buy a single hose unit. Always buy a dual hose. And wrap insulation around both hoses.

missed opportunity to have a segment where you are not talking over the AC noise, as the viewer can hear the noise it makes more clearly. You talked over most of it. Still a great video. I'm not buying this model as i live in eu, but its interesting to hear the approx noise an AC makes.
