I have both ebike and scooter that have no suspension at all but I feel enjoying the rides on my scooter coz' I can just easily bend my knees to lessen the bumping sensation. I used them alternately to work so I can have pedal exercise also. For me, scooter is very handy to ride on but has less range than ebike as you mentioned. I love them both.
I don't thunk it is very ojective to spekulate about what lasts longer and why. Try it and show the result. The e-scooter looks really basic, most of the parts are known from other scooter. Finding spare parts should be really easy.

You’re also speculating that parts are interchangeable. However, I’ve tested both devices thoroughly.
Good video... too many expensive ebikes and scooters these days which are totally unnecessary.
