UPDATE: 1. I have recently learned that there is a reverse button on the remote and this is why front wheels were wobbly (head shake). 2. Now that I am riding it correctly, the brakes are no longer "on/off" they are in fact gradual. I recommend this board for newbies like myself because as you saw, its pretty intuitive to ride... even doing it wrong LOL
I'm 23 and i got the same longboard as you and i don't regret buying it i got my first non electric longboard in 2019 and gave up on it and sold it because i couldn't get my balance so i sold it and this April of 2024 got my first electric longboard but your balance is better then mine and I'm still learning 😂😂 all you have to do is practice on turning when your on the board lol and

Oh man, we used to grab half cases and put them on the front of our longboards and ride to the beach in VA. Would've been epic to have one of these electric longboards!
I think you did good for the first time I skated as a Kid and even as a 30 something year old but never E Skated I just ordered a Camora 27 inch so First time for everything
I am 35 and just started eskating too. I've never skated before, not even as a kid, so it's a bit difficult for me to learn. I go down to SD to ride from time to time and yeah it's pretty sketchy to ride on the streets there. Also, if you ever get into this, I highly recommend a belt drive. Hub drives are much harsher and have way less options in terms of wheels. With belt drives, you can get pneumatic tires and it's a lot softer than urethane wheels. Much more forgiving going over cracks, bumps and potholes. Just overall a safer feeling. Let me know if you want to ride sometimes! I'm looking for beginners to ride with.

Its also my first time to own and ride a skateboard or e-skateboard so I'm in the middle gear and i just skate on the company parking lot and will not try it on the road with cars cuz Taiwanese will blow their horns on me even when im on the sidewalks or bicycle lane
I have two meepo boards and love them comute to work on it i ride at 25-30 its so freeing

There is a button on the remote control that says reverse :)
Oh snap! I did not know this… noobie mistake I guess.. but hey if I can ride in reverse, imagine what i could do the way it was meant? Lol.. no wonder front was giving me head shake

you really had no business riding around that many people if you had that little experience with skateboards in general man...so lucky you didn't hurt anyone else. use your head and think about not hurting people before you think about trying to get views.
