Session after session it’s becoming easier and easier to take off with smaller frontwings and to ride longer.
I’m sharing my experience and technique 😉
How to / efficient technique:
STEP 1 Learn to accelerate only with legs
- push down hard on legs to sink the board (be heavy)
- during rebound be as light as possible bringing your legs upwards and forwards
- do it faster and faster to accelerate
STEP 2 Learn to accelerate only paddling
- short, dynamic and quick strokes
- keep shoulders and arms always in front of you
- keep paddle always close to the board
- do it faster and faster to accelerate
STEP 3 Learn to synchronise upper and lower body
- press on water with paddle and push down on legs at the same time
- bring arms/shoulders forwards and legs upwards/forwards at the same time
- do it faster and faster to accelerate
