Ridgid XL Drawer Progear 2.0
I took Ridgid’s 3 drawer tool box and converted it to a XL Deep drawer to carry larger tools. Ridgid makes the only drawer toolbox that will go on the bottom of your tool stack. #Ridgid #TeamRidgid #progear2.0 #drawers #ridgidmod #3drawer #deepdrawer #toolbox #lowvoltage

Переглядів 7165 місяців тому
The Ridgid job Max is the perfect tool for a homeowner or technician that needs to have a lot of tools that their disposal. The job Max heads are all metal construction and very high-quality. There were three power bases available a 12 V 110 V and the 18 V. Before discontinuing the line, they made a brushless octane version. Ridgid, please bring back the jobMax. #tools #compact #Ridgid #r...

Ridgid's new for 2020 18v Compact Vacuum R860902B
I had the same experience with the clip tech cord wrap. I didn't have issues sometimes after purchasing it i was missing a screw right out of the box. I thought it would be the same experience I had with kreg rip cut but with that I had a piece break months after purchase. So I contacted them and they sent replacement parts. With toughbuilt I expected replacement screws but they sent me a new cord wrap set.
That Milwaukee light is a bastard with that turning off shit I fixed it but it’s still a pain in the ass.
I stand behind this video 100% I love my job max and fear the day the console dies. Bring this tool back ridgid.
Fantastic idea!!! Some executive at the orange headquarters is showing his design team this video. Some JB Weld (the stick version) would fill in the those gaps nicely and add more strength. Again nice job 👍🏽
I like that snap toggle set up, pretty smooth. I may have to do some shopping 😂
May not be beating the socks off the competition but the drawers are definitely a game changer for me ! 🧦🩳😅👍
Thankyou brother
Great tip on how to remove the rigid pro gear system gen 2.0 drawer rails. It does pop out with the “up and in” pull on the back tab.
So what!!!
I just saw these, ordering foam to cut out for organizing all my tools! Makes organizing stuff in my hijet easy and efficient
I can't wait to buy a few box fan, I'm a painter.
where do you get the cleats?
Thank you for yourvideo! Big help. I can’t find the cleats anywhere? What exactly is the product name?
Where did u get your tape measure Bro?
I love these drawers.
This is inssne to have to mod something so much that costs so much money. I think I'd rather deal with doing what I have to in order to just store in one of their top opening boxes. Even if it required stacking the whole thing on a flat/long folding dolly or another set of wheels.
‘Til you on a jobsite with 100 other people and you’re trying to get tools, put them up, change bits, get anchors, and yourco-worker needs the tool on the bottom of the stack, not worrying that some is going to walk off with a tool you left open or sitting out because it goes in the box on the bottom of the stack… everybody’s needs are different. That’s why there are so many brands of tools and storage systems. That situation, I just described, was the tipping point for me, for changing to a drawer system.
Why not just put a hinged box on the top with power tools? It couldn't be too top heavy by the time the others are fully loaded. IDK, I just bought a set of wheels, 2- 3 drawer boxes, an organizer and I already had a gen 1 hinged box which is made to work with Gen 2 pefectly. I think it is insane Ridgid did not think of making a large 1 drawer box. I hope they release it soon. So how did your mod workout?! Would like to know. This are a bit pricey, but nothing like Milwaukee's prices. The Ridgid stuff seems to always be sturdier than the Milwaukee pack-out and cost much less per item.
This is clean. I'm working on building out something like this for my Rigid system since Rigid doesn't have anything like that on the horizon. But part of me also might just retire the Rigid, repurpose it for camping gear and go tough built.
That's good brother.😊
My home interior will be tough built!
That’s kinda cool, but it’s not waterproof…
I only see a 3-drawer box in HD. And the drawer box should have wheels. It's pointless for Rigid to keep the big base box with wheels when it doesn't have any drawers.
Supposedly you’re going to be able to buy just the wheels
Do you have the 3d file for the organizers on the drawers? Nice Setup !
I took the Milwaukee 3d file for 3 drawer packout bins and reduced the width to 90%. Works perfectly.
@@donniestoolthoughts9209 Thank You
XL drawer coming up or either the current top loader boxes would work...right?
Yes larger box. But, I changed my bit storage cases to make my drill setup work. For the vacuum to fit, i ended up cutting an inch off the vacuum wand and it fit.
Good Job!
Thanks!
Thank You for following up on updates like this. Can you go to places with casters and find the size to? i have no packout myself . Someone else also suggested plates and wheels. If t hey are comming with mounting plate probably you could built your own too. Cheers!
The casters are weird with two different sizes of shafts. I mean they can’t deny they are copying packout. Imitation is the best form of flattery, as long as they don’t get sued…
For anyone else wondering, Ridgid now offers 2 drawer and 4 drawer variants so you don't have do do it yourself. Hopefully if this video/idea gets popular enough, they'll also start to offer a 1 drawer variant.
Thanks for the comment. I’ve already made a second xl drawer box. They would only have to make one more piece/ sku. C’mon Ridgid!
this is super bad ass, love this shit dude.
I want one❤
waiting for a sale to get lol
The 2 drawer box is $99. Right now, and cooler is under $50
TB COMPANY should see this Video! nice work
Thank you 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽 I figured so but since I’m not home I was able to live through you in this video. 💥💥💥
Im waiting for them to be back in stock 😢
I love how you set up your van, i recently jumped over to the stacktech and I have the 2 and 1 dolly and even a stacktech shelf which i do not recommend due to design limitations (the way they have everything stacked on the pictures cant be done in real life) i have been looking for ideas, but not a lot of people have stacktech yet. Great build!
Who is selling the cleats for these boxes right now?
I got mine off of esty
I have A LOT of toughbuilt products so when they came out with stacktech i was quick to make the switch. They may not have designed that with storage compartments in mind but thats an amazing find. I have that and will definitely use it for some extra storage for small things
These have a handle area up top? Looks like there’s something not sure it’s enough bite to carry a fully loaded box. Don’t understand why they can’t make a top carry handle for these
I'm pretty sure mine has a handle on the top. It's a built in handle not one that flips up.
Can you throw on the pack out wheels on the Toughbuilt cart?? I might of seen a video of it done
Yes, he actuallly posted (just saw the vid)
Will do
Great setup! I've been eyeing the stacktech system for my painting company, and this was very helpful.
Too many videos of empty tool boxes people bought and not enough like this that show how people innovate and organize them. Thanks for sharing.
What made you change from Rigid to Stack Tech ? I have Rigid boxes ,AEG in Australia and can't decide to buy AEG drawers or go to Stack Tech
one drawer box. It is so handy and speeds up our installs / service calls to be able to grab the tools we need and throw them in the stack. Easy access without having to move boxes back and forth. The drop and lock stacking feature is also nice. For the money, you can’t beat the ridgid /AEG boxes for amount of space to money ratio. I still have a warehouse full of ridgid boxes with tools in them. Toughbuilt looks like they’re in financial trouble… may not be around much longer. If they go away, I’ll come up with a custom ridigid one drawer box.
Ridgid has some nice drawer boxes out now, just got the 2 drawer. Pretty decked out set up Chief 👍
Love it! Thanks for showing your van set-up! I could watch Van set-ups all day
How in the world did you find all these drawer units… I check daily for stock and they have been out for months. I can’t wait for this stuff to be available.
I had the same question! I regularly check Lowe's, but there are no drawer units available at all. It seems either Lowe's or Toughbuilt is falling short in rolling out their entire product lineup.
Awesome video great tool box mines are not so organized now i will start to organize😂
Glad it was helpful!
I use Milwaukee Pack out @work. My company bought me one 4 years ago. I use 2rigid boxes. One in my Garage and one @work. I will be getting Rigid and Kleins Systems soon. A great video brother. Stay safe. 😊
You're stronger than me. You make it look so easy. lol... Thank you for the video, I would have given up if I hadn't seen you do it. It took me forever to get the two rails out, a bit of blood and not quitting. I was having to put so much more everything into it that the wall was bending on the box, I was afraid I was going to break something. I wonder if that tab on mine is thicker or something as it took vice grips to pull that tab and a lot of shaking on the rails to get them out. Thank goodness it was only two rails that needed to be removed. lol... Thanks again for the video!
I’m not emphasizing the “snatch” motion enough. Glad you got it out!
Super ridgid 😏
There in Michigan too but they're pricey
$119 ain’t a bad price compared to Milwaukee, Dewalt, flex, and Stacktech.
I like mine so far. I got the cart and box and 3 drawer box for 236$
I just bought them ! Almost made them but just got yesterday! In stock now the 2 3 & 4 at hd
