Thank you for going over all these 2.0 boxes.
I am impressed with the idea that the large box can come apart and be stacked on the existing setup!
Thanks for the review!
Definitely will looking into the rolling box! Love how these are so much more adaptable than the first gen
It's nice that it's backwards compatible with 1st gen too. I don't see much 2.0 stuff but I'm sure HD is trying to blow out 1st gen at great prices.
Thank you so much for this review! I was in the market for new Ridgid boxes a few weeks ago and saw the same images you had with the mounting brackets. I looked all over but none of the major tool review channels I follow have covered this, despite my comments asking them to do so.
Thx for the comment. I’m working on a video of my tool box setup.
This Rigid 2.0 box kit fits my needs. I bought it at the HD this weekend as pricing is great. Was easier to load the bottom box by removing the handle in my SUV. Nice vid!
Does the latching system hold well?
Some guy at home Depot said something about it when I was about to buy the system then I put it back to go on UA-cam and research some 😂
Wow, being able to hang the lighter box on top and flip the bottom box lid is a game changer. I guess a drawer unit will help also in the middle. What would really be amazing is just having the bottom rolling toll box , with a flip-out front access . There is no need to unstack .
Agreed. The only thing I have found like that is the Craftsman multilevel. Use it all the time, but it isn't part of a stackable system
That removable handle is sick!
Agree with you 100%!
Thanks for the review, I found your channel when looking for reviews.
The one feature that I hear about, from all manufacturers and users is about being able to open a lid without removing the upper boxes.
Why?
Anytime I'm on a job site the first thing I do is unstack my boxes. Even if I can open a lid part way it's not worth the hassle of retrieving tool through a small opening. That and with every system the selling feature is the ability to remove the boxes fast and simple.
If you are needing to access something in another box the Milwaukee box with drawers has that covered. I do not own their system but if that was something I honestly needed then there it is.
Thanks for a great review.
I have a system too. Check out this video, i show how i have my daily setup. Thanks for the comment!

Nice set up brother. I left a comment including the new Craftsman tradestack 22" bag. I highly recommend it, it may or may not fit your needs but it is a very well designed bag, especially for my electrical needs .
Great video thanks 👍
awesome van 😍
this video answered a question I’ve been trying to figure out for a while- can two of the carts stack. I didn’t expect the detail. thanks
Nice video but the 8/32" comment was funny lol that removable wheel base completely is pretty sweet feature that no one else has
Milwaukee has the PACKOUT dolly which isn’t really the same but atleast you get a dolly aswell if needed, would be nice to see if rigid offers larger wheels
I'm attempting to hang these boxes in my garage. The directions aren't very specific though. Can you give any recommendations for screw/bolt size both length and width? I have to say, I was kinda let down they didn't include those with the brackets.
Also, that small box mod attaching to the rolling box handle; did you figure out a way to make it work? That was the one thing attracting me to the tough system by DeWalt... That carrier with the boxes separated just looked better all the way around, imo. But with the small box of the Ridgid able to mount on that handle that way, that would really look nice and be efficient.
I have only been able to get my hands on two large boxes, the rolling box, and a couple crates (which were 30 dollars each! They give us value boxes then want to rape us for the crates??... Guess we can't have it all. Thanks for the ideas.
Millwakee 48-22-8045 Packout tray Also fits into the Ridgid Packout 25 " pro-2 model 254065 is also manufactured by the same company
Any word on Rigid coming out with drawer boxes? Would like as an alternative for hand tools when working on the cars or boat.
Theyre making one in the next month or two if you haven’t seen the news yet 😎
Got the 2.0 set at the HD. Are there pre-made foam inserts out there for these?
Whys everyone say the latching system opens when you roll over bumps?
Im thinking about snagging this system while its on sale but juat dont get how that latch would just open up hitting a bump. Mabe rolling it violently over a dirt road idk are they pretty solid?
How’s the wheels and handle holding up? I’ve seen some reviews saying it breaks easily just trying to see if this is true before I switch completely to this from tough system 2.0
Sadly lots of buyers have broken the handle on the Pro 2.0 rolling box, not as durable as the original pro box rolling cart, also I noticed the box thickness is thinner on the 2.0.
Any other place aside from Home depot where i can get these?
I love ridgid tool box and that looks great but ridgid should make ones with rollouts box so we don have to remove the top ones to get to our tool
You can remove the wheel's/handle assembly so you can hinge whichever box.
This system looks nice…now if they were just available.
Thanks for the review! Does the large box have dividers -- it looks like it has a couple slots.
I got the impression from other sources they are not included.
They are not included. There are dividers installed in the picture on the cut sheet, but i think you’ll have to make them out of plywood.
How are they holding up?
They really beefed up the latches.
Looks like there's some areas where it can brake. Not a real fan of the removable handle , once something becomes removable it ends up having weak points .
True but if it does break you can likely get just a new handle on warranty and continue to use the boxes whereas with all the other brands you would have to send out the entire bottom box if it broke and be out your largest box until they sent you a warranty box
It's life time warrenty. Goto HD and grab a new one. That easy
I'd use those brackets to hold my level if wide enough
10:09 my box level fit in there nicely.
Did your handle ever break?
Not yet
What’s the weight rating on the new one?
The weight rating on the large box is 100lbs. I think it would hold more, but it would overload the wall brackets. The box and wheels weigh 21 lbs.
@@donniestoolthoughts9209 I picked one up today and I love it except that the side latches to hold the next box are very loose to click onto the upper box which is a 22in 1.0 box. Maybe I’ll bend them or something.
@@chineseempanada420 yes, all the new boxes fit looser. I haven’t had one disconnect yet. I usually unlock one side then lift and the old boxes come apart. The new boxes want to stay connected on the other side. Check out this video @ 6:22 you’ll see the latches demonstrated.

That plastic fix and go seems like a failure point when boxes are loaded.
Very strong, lost a little room on the inside of the boxes vs pro gear 1.0 because of The hang points reinforcing.
How’s it holding up bro?
It stays in my van without the wheels, I’m using it as storage for equipment(switches , waps, power supplies, transmitters/receivers, hum buckers, hdmi da’s, etc…) in the van. I do like how the lid opens compared to open the gen1 large box. Thx for the comment!
You can't hardly tell what you are doing with removing dolly/wheels handle. If I didn't know how it works.
Que bueno que este sistema tenga la caja con ruedas y tapa abatible se está colocando a la altura de dewalt y milwaukee
Where did u get your tape measure Bro?
