If Fords CEO had any brains left? they would rebuild again the 300 I6 again and turbo charge it to get 300hp install a forged crank and offer it as a engine option for F150- F350 pickups! as it would sell like crazy and be very affordable!

how much hp and torque does it make. I want a setup like yours because idis have a hour long 0-60 and 5.9 cummins are expensive
The economy runs on inline engines. I make my paycheck getting 80,000. Down the road.

Thank you for this video kind sir. I lucked out pulling my 1993 F150 4wd L6 4.9 300 5-speed from a vietnam veterans lawn from her 7 year grave. John was plucking his guitar, playing some country songs that he wrote, while I was working on her in his driveway. 4 new tires, battery, alternator, oil top off, fresh gas, and she drove me 4 hours home to the homestead, where I had to redo the break lines. She still needs plenty more, but she was free, so I wouldn't dare complain about the bucking on start-up. How'd I do it? It wasn't my doing. All credit goes to the good lord above.
He cut the cats off and probably straight piped it. My 87 sounded the same but worse cus it had a misfire from bad plugs and plug wires. His actually runs good

Just remember To make the 268 cam work well with the turbo you need a max size of 62mm inducer 58mm exducer Otherwise you'll still have low end tq issues The best option would be an HX35 or he351 infront of your current turbo so you make boost across the entire band Port fuel injection will also improve the global power band and reduce fuel consumption Just some suggestions coming from building a bunch of turbo vehicles for multiple different goals including torquey gassers What is the grind for that new cam, i can give you an idea of the tq band
Where did you buy the 2" mild steel 90's? I'm gonna be building one similar for a trike I'm building with the 300 6 in it, my header will be the opposite of yours, it will dump in the front
The zf5 makes a bunch of gear rollover noise. Best thing ive found is fill it to spec with synthetic ATF. Take the shifter out and add two quarts of Lucas through the shifter hole. I put a bunch of miles on my Powerstroke like that and it worked great. Have to shift slow while it's cold but otherwise a big improvement.

best engine ever made... I stand by it. I always thought of it as an unbreakable work horse. I just found out they were getting 600 HP of them in the 70's N/A no forced induction. that is 2 HP per SQ. inch. the 454 cant do that... not sure the LS can

We have a 300 turbo build. We used the melling hv oil pump, and had lots of problems with way to much oil up top. Just be sure you really need the hv pump.
That’s a good point I found that out the hard way on my sbc turned too many rpms with high volume and drained the pan wiped the mains

From my experience, which is admittedly limited, the zf5 is a pretty noisy transmission
You need to use the industrial version. Steel crank, big rods and steel cam gear.

Love your truck, it's an awesome build. But for the best sounding 300 on UA-cam, I'm gonna have to call you out on that one. Do a little search on the following users and check out their 240/300 big 6's and take a listen. Frenchtown Flyer (500 hp NA drag car, 3 500 cfm Holley 2V on a rare factory prototype crossflow head that buzzes to over 7,000 rpm. ) Greg's a legend when it comes to the 240/300 stuff. Six Gun/SLER racing ( 65 Comet with a 300 destroked to 272ci., it's nasty sounding high rpm screamer ) Profound ( built a couple wicked 300's, one turbo charged, one turbo & supercharged ) wvanw ( Big cam, Holman Moody 4V intake, open headers )

Hi do what u will my shop told me not to run hv pump if the engine hasn't been clearance for it to run standard may see what ur shop says
Basically ended up replicating this but NA and stock EFI. Going to use DSS K1-5001 -10cc pistons w rings, Promaxx bare CNC ported head with SI valves 4.810” -1.94”/1.60”, stock EFI rockers (maybe Scorpion 1.73) and an Erson E270321 (Hi-Flow AH) .504"/.504" 220/220 284/284 110deg cam shaft. Going to try and fit all of this under a stock EFI valve cover and tune it with EEC-IV. Sleeper EFI build
