Almost sounds like a Cummins at certain RPMs! I would love to have one of these if only I could afford one! Thanks to what happened in 2020 I'm just as broke as 85% of the country!
I have a 69 short bed F100 4x4 with a 300 inline 6. I am thinking about going to a EFI / turbo set up in it. The 300 seems to respond well to those modifications
Lucky lucky man, I owned 5 or so f-100’s and never found a short bed. My 67 was my favorite, it was a bare bones 240 4 speed and a two barrel adapter. My 71 was decently loaded for an old truck, 390FE, custom 2 tone, tons of chrome, police-style spotlight, factory AC and a c6 auto I believe
Brother, I want to see the nuts and bolts of the engine. Where did you tap your oil line for turbo? Drain back? What computer system are you running? Type of intake? What turbo? Intercooler or no? Etc Etc Etc P.S. Tell me about that instrument cluster
God dam I love the turbo sound. Also like your big blue. Looks sick. Can't wait to drive my supercab f150. Someday hope to build my 300 into a beast and maybe ad a turbo. I'm in california is the only problem. Lol dam smog bulkshit! I don't think it's crazy expensive to build these motors either being a ford 1. And 2 parts everywhere and also plenty of builds already
I wouldn't tow with cutout open. You loose torque down low. Its better to open them (if you must lol) after you're up n rolling. Ive always loved the inline 6 format. You got yourself a unit of a truck n a damn fine camera "man" lol
Wonder if you could get an exhaust brake to work in that application? I would imagine the Sniper EFI would be a limiting factor? Port injection? Port injected turbo 300 with a pac brake! 🤤
@@Tota1Everything Lol that’s valid! I’m pretty active with the truck stuff, I’m always in the shop with him when he’s doing all this stuff! Just haven’t been able to make the cut until this video 🤣
It kinda sounds like you were shifting below the torque/boost curve. Either youre short shifting or the tranny ratios are too far apart. What does your dyno chart look like and when are you shifting?
I've got close to the same setup but I'm running a 78 and it's kind of slow but with headers it's pretty decent, I'll break a little bit if I'm going to do something serious but it isn't super bad
Hey man. Just a couple questions. How much boost do you run? And are you running stock ring gap? Head gasket and head gasket studs? I’m trying to do the same thing as you, but don’t want to really crack the ole girl open yet.
Hello im trying to swap my m5od to a zf5. I have a 300 2wd ford 1992 could you point me in the right direction? Is it a direct swap? Thank you love your content
@ogk129 yes, right up, as long as you're buying a 2wd zf5 which are fairly easy to find. It's a little bigger than the Mazda Trans but bolts right up to flywheel and driveshaft. Direct fit
@@Tota1Everything those 300s love straight pipes lol, and it might’ve just made it quieter without changing the tone, and the camera equaled it out the same
Best Turbo 300 on the internet hands down!
Agreed!!!
😮💨
I triple that

I love the sound of your truck. Keep up the great videos
Pullin a tractor , with a tractor. You need an absolute unit of a cowboy hat and have a wheat sprig in your teeth.
Awesomely unique truck man Great work you have done 👍
Bad ass truck man 🤙🏻
Watching this videos give me hope. But the inline seems to tow just fine. Adapter for v10 zf comes in friday so I can bolt it to the inline 6

Forgot to add that mine were all 2wd desert/ranch trucks. No rust, just small surface rust on the exhaust (which was STOCK on the 71 until 2007.)

One of if not best looking, sounding, and pulling turbo 300 trucks
Looks to be doing a good job towing.
I pulled a 9k camper with my 1993 f150 m5od-r2 transmission 3.55 axle. It was all stock. The turbo will make it easier to pull. But wasnt needed

Did you see powernation take a 85hp all stock 300 ci and turbo it and dyno 500hp
You need a vintage trailer to go along. Real gool
I would think the stock cam is so wimpy that you’d pick up power in the whole range by going up.
Hard to believe you lost so much low torque with a small cam.
Wonder if you could get an exhaust brake to work in that application? I would imagine the Sniper EFI would be a limiting factor? Port injection?
Port injected turbo 300 with a pac brake! 🤤
You said you swapped out the 268. What’s the new cam? What’s ur mpg like now if you’ve checked?
A “Turbo 4.9 Liter” was a GM factory option engine in Camaro/firebird in 1978 or a little later. So much different than your turbo 4.9
So your saying GM made a 300ci inline 6..... And it wasn't a Pontiac 301ci V8?
u need to keep that camera girl lmao

Make some videos of fixing the tractor man it’s pretty sweet
getting my 72 f250 with a 300 i6 soon next month, gonna convert it to a 4x4 and swap in a 10 speed eaton transmission. B)

When you could legally work on a John Deer.... nice dent side ferd
Have you thought about putting a smaller billet wheel in the front housing so it will build boost faster? 78 seems kinda big for a 300

I have a 71 with a 240 I6. I just picked up a 300 with offenhauser intake. I noticed the Michigan plate. I’m in Battle Creek. You close by?
Where did you get your steering wheel if you don't mind me asking? And what is the 5 speed transmission out of? Thanks!
It’s a factory Ford sport steering wheel, and I believe the transmission came out of an 86 F250
Have you considered e 85 yet for your new build, no overheating issues and no detonation worries would be a big benefit
I thought about it but Holley is pretty adamant about not running ethanol in the sniper
My family has one of these f100. Host a car meet 🤷♂️ or some beers
What size turbo is it and ar size and at what rpm do u have boost and what rpm do u start building boost by the way killler truck
What’s the exhaust temp at full pull?

8 psi, stock ring gap but they’re wore out enough that it doesn’t matter, stock head bolts and gasket

No way he’s still got the old standard H in that thing.
How do you like that eastwood 135 mig?
Do you use gas or flux?
I’m happy with it, I run .023” with 75/25 gas
Whats the mpg like loaded/unloaded after the cam?
10.5 at best
What transmission you running, thinking about upgrading from a granny 4 speed to a 5 speed out of a newer 90s ford
ZF5. Getting very difficult to find in 4 wheel drive
You ever gonna finish the interior ?
So the cam was a mistake?
For towing: yes
For making the truck faster/more fun: no

Exhaust cutout I think
