    • @Vaguh

      I think because it's a standard process VW recommends doing. So regardless of it being required or not, a shop isn't going to go against the manufacturer recommendations.

    Time to fall down the 3D printing rabbit hole! Illumaesthetic is experimenting with large scale 3D printing body panels, I'm sure there's a consumer grade printer that can at least print a mold or something to make something nicer than the minimalist racer cards?

    • @Vaguh
      @Vaguh 8 днів тому

      I've been following what Illumaesthetic has been doing for a long time and love seeing what they're able to create with a bit of imagination! We've definitely considered scanning and 3D printing as an option for recreation of some parts with the help of some friends that sorta know what they're doing.

    Not a show car, but a driver. See if a local upholstery shop can repair the door pockets, not a specialty car restoration shop. For the radio, modern with Bluetooth but with a somewhat retro appearance. Be wary of Blaupunkt, they're not German any more. I also recommend JBL car speakers. Neither the best speakers nor the cheapest. Good bang for the buck.

      @jowen001 17 днів тому

      @Vaguh it will obviously have value. The ultimate gauge of what it will bring depends on matching it to the right buyer. A collector will ding it for having non standard parts while an enthusiast (aka driver) will pay a premium for having a functional car. I always say that unless you've got an original Duesenberg or 250 GTO, build cars to drive. I'm also broke, so nobody listening to me anyway

    Just did turbo inlet, cold air intake, and 034 stage 1. I’ve noticed my car will smell pretty hot if I am going out and driving it hard. So sounds like a need to jump on upgrading intercooler asap then, huh? And you said you felt like it gave you good amount more power?

    • @Vaguh
      @Vaguh Місяць тому

    Favor to ask. I have a 2020 S4 with IE intake, turbo inlet pipe and intercooler. Thinking of installing the Pure750 turbo with stage 3 ECU and TCU tunes. However, I am thinking of not installing the downpipe and hpfp. What downside is there to this kind of setup? Great channel BTW!

    • @Vaguh
      @Vaguh Місяць тому

      The only downside is not getting the highest levels of power especially from ethanol tunes. If you don’t already have the turbo, you may consider the APR turbo and stage 3 tunes. They’re getting the most out of the car with stock hpfp and downpipe. I’ll work on getting a review of that setup uploaded this week.
