Going to try mine tomorrow :) Have done it on a RS4 before.....Top tip (particulalry if you are on your own).....if you peel off maybe a 1/2 inch bit of the backing and fold it over at 90 degrees. Do that at each end of the piece you're attaching and then you can position it gently with only those 2 little bits of 3m holding it. If you folded the backing at 90 degrees it should be poking out between the piece of kit and car. If you're not happy with the positioning (and you have gently attached it) you should be able to pull off and reposition. If you are happy with the position grab the backing that's sticking out and simply pull it down the length like a zipper.....it'll pull off and expose the tape whilst the piece is in place. Once off press the piece firmly into position
FINALLY a video of the install. I was thinking I'd have to drill but I'll just use the tape. I'll supplement what they provide with some extra stickiness. Had one on my B8 S4. It lasted 45 minutes thanks the the HR sport springs 😅. Hopefully the RS6 one lasts longer....
I have the Maxton kit to go on my rs5 but it came with bolts and I’ve been hesitant to install it due to not wanting to drill holes. I live where I get summer and winter, so I’m wondering if this 3M tape has held up through a winter and summer seasons without any issues? I’ve used that tape for trunk spoilers before and a front lip on a friends car, but he had to retape it once.
Nah, I should do an update. We just replaced the front lip. The tape holds pretty well, but he hit something on the freeway and it was toast. We installed the second one with 3M and some self tappers.

I've been happy with Maxton's product. I like how it matches the OEM gloss black
Thanks for the vid. Was trying to find how the carbon optics paired with the gloss black of the Maxton aero bits.
Ayyy its the kit i sold, looks nice 🔥🔥

You have an RS6??? Nice!!!
It’s a friend of the channel. We’re going to be making more videos with this car in the future.
Maxton kit still on with 3M tape?
Yep. Just checked in and it’s holding strong.
How's the turbo lag on rs6 compared to s5 stage 3?
S5 stage 3 is more laggy, but faster overall.
