I can’t wait to see Dad’s dream come true with Janis. Excited to see the journey that you both take with the 911, and looking forward to watching Dad drive it once more. Thank you guys for honoring the story of the car, the reason behind the name, and continuing its legacy. ❤
Very cool. Your uncle is from near me. I go to the lasher group dealers, they have changed recently and no longer lasher but still go to them prefer them over the closer dealer to me.
Great story! I will be interested to follow, as I am doing a similar restoration of a 200k+ mile 1989 2,7 944 which I owned for 24 years and drove my 5 children to school and sports events in 4 seasons of the year. I am another who ‘missed out on ordering a Spektrum Golf R, but I enjoy my 2019 “Peacock” aka GFGreen GTI SE manual !
Hopefully there's no issues with old fuel gumminess in the K-Jetronic. At least you can take most of the system apart to clean it out. i also believe injectors are still available. Good luck i look forward to watching.
Welcome to the Air Cooled Porsche / Audi S5 sport back owner fraternity! I’ve been a year without my 911 with Ryan doing bodywork documented on his channel here ua-cam.com/play/PLSpO5JBw2BRsebv12KHRWCJodPDTDf0N5.html&si=axUYjx-cKwCMu7T- almost about to get it back. Good luck with the project!
I was wondering who owned that 911. That guy knows his stuff. I have been restoring cars, metal, work, body, and paint and learned some tricks that I didn't know. When he is finished, you are going to have something very special I know its hard to be patient but it will be worth it.Kevin
@@Vaguh I know he said he wanted to trade up but I thought he may changed his mind after spending 30 years with it, but I guess he never actually drove it. In any case, I am hooked. Thanks for sharing the story behind so it's not just another restore/rebuild. Definitely subscribing. :)
@@jenny80myles his priorities have shifted now, not sure what he wants to do with the $. But our plan is to get it in the road and sell it, then use the proceeds to get another cool project or two.
This build is going to be so much fun to follow!

Thanks, Regan! We can’t wait to make more progress.

Thanks for watching, Chris!
Really excited to see where this project goes!! I just shared this with my good friend who wants to get into a 911 rebuild as well. Let’s go Va Guh!
Thanks for the support, my friend! We’re making headway but this is a whole new level of build for us.
Such a good video. I love the storyline behind it. Makes me feel like I'm watching something on the History channel
Thank you, Corey!
Dudes. Let's GOOO
Thanks, Jackson!

Thank you! We definitely will be taking EVERYTHING apart to ensure it’s all in good order.

It would be cool if you did the build and gave it back to him, just a thought.
Not that I could afford it but is the intent to sell the car when it is finished?
That is correct.
