    I am so tempted to purchase a 450/570 Polaris because I can get one for much less than a Yamaha product, but I'm not sure I have enough time to correct all the mistakes Polaris makes on these machines. Not sure why Polaris exhausts the 570 different than the 450 HO's, either...seems odd. Certainly does look like you've ingested debris from the actual intake, but I wonder if you need to reseal the inner clutch cover with RTV like some other guys have mentioned doing on the Polaris forums.. Beautiful looking machine, though!

    Ok. Finally a really beneficial video today : ). I still would probably prefer a version of the roll-up design. The cover just lays on side rails. it is not secured with snaps or anything. So it makes noise when I happen to hit a bump in the road or drive through rough roads. I would be careful placing items on top of it because it is very high and there is very little to keep those items from rolling forward. They would also obstruct your view

    I don't see how the unit ran that long. Even Iceco claims 995 watts for 24 hours. My EB3A only runs my Iceco 55 for roughly 6 hours. Works out to 995w÷24h=42 watts (rounded). 268w÷42w=6 hours rounded. I need to call Iceco and ask why yours get 14 hours.

This time I used the magnetic battery from IceCo. The unit ran for 18 hours on that battery. The unit was stored indoors where the ambient air temp was about 75F and I had it set to “Eco” using both zones set at 37F. It’s simple, the fridge cycles off and on over time. Once it reaches temperature and cycles off, it’s drawing ZERO watts. In a controlled environment like inside an air conditioned home, it’s not going to run a lot. My guess is it ran less than 50% of the time the test was running.

    I have the same setup, except I went with a refurbished version of the Ecoflow River 2 Pro, I've run a few tests, don't feel the need to make a separate video, but for those who stumble across this video like I did before I bought the setup, might be a few more helpful data points. I have run (2) tests as a bit of a control before I run anymore. Both tests aren't true real world scenarios, but I just wanted to establish a baseline. Both tests were run in a room that I have the thermostat set to 25 C / 77 F, although averaged out to about 22.5 C / 72.5 F over the course of both of these tests, tracked through a Mysa thermostat. I did not open the lid on the iceco at all for either of the tests, and the fridge was completely empty, I know that having contents would have kept the cooler going a little longer, but like I mentioned I am just baselining. I used a WiFi thermometer in the cooler so I could track the temp throughout the 3 days, the high and low spikes cycled on 10 minute intervals consistently throughout the 3 days (compressor kicking in and then going off). Test 1: Fridge starting temp was 15 C / 59 F, and I had set both compartments to 0 C / 32 F, no cover on the cooler. The cooler lasted 3 days (72 hours) and I shut it down with 5% left on the generator. The average temperature over the 3 days was 1.6 C / 34.88 F, the low was 1 C / 33.8 F, and high was 2.3 C / 36.14 F. Test 2: Fridge starting temp was 6 C / 42.8 F, and had set both compartments to 0 C / 32 F, this time I used the cover that I got with the cooler. Cooler also lasted 3 days (72 hours) and I shut it down with 10% left on the generator. So it didn't seem like the cover helped with keeping the cooler going much longer, although interesting enough the average temperature over the 3 days was 1.3 C / 34.34 F, where the low was 0.6 C / 33.08 F and high was 2.1 C / 35.78 F.

    • @aarons6138
      @aarons6138 5 місяців тому

      While the cover may not have helped in my controlled environment, it is a great cover that will protect the cooler from scuffs, but it actually may help in direct sunlight versus in my test it was just ambient room temperature.
