    Have the same ATV. I did a similar CVT exhaust mod like you did, but with ABS plumbing.....routed to the same spot. I also sorted out the front storage cover issue so it seals much better. You can find videos about that on my channel if you are interested. Overall we love ours and my wife rides it most of the time....I got the 850 for myself. Thanks for sharing the video

    I went for my first extended ride today on my 570 Trail. Here are my thoughts.
    Loved the Power steering on the trails but not so much at higher speeds.
    Loved the Power, seat and the down hill mode.
    Foot brake is not responsive.
    I have 25 miles on it and can't wait to put more on.
    It's an eye catcher.
    Thanks again

    The battery section is not in the "dry" section of the front container. If you look at the seal, it runs around the front of it and it is totally fine to get wet.

    • @JimboP-Outside
      @JimboP-Outside  2 роки тому +2

      Yes, plain to see. But plenty of water/mud gets into the non-battery section too. I have to pull the rubber grommets in there after every ride to let the water out. And I don’t “submarine” my vehicles. Plus it’s very easy to see the gap in the seal when you close the lid. Terrible design. Must have skipped quality control and gone right to sales.

    Bang on for the CVT setup. Polaris needs better intake locations and waaaay better exaust locations. My 850 had the same issue and I made a video on fixing it too.
    You think your baffled by the Bluetooth, I paid $16 CAD for my touring, website said Bluetooth, no Bluetooth??? Sorry, it was a site misprint. Why, $16k give me the stinking Bluetooth lol
    Unfortunately though, Polaris reserves the good 99% water tight front storage for the 850 and 1000. And yeah, zero excuse for the cfmoto floppy quality of the pivot point. Though I do like that my touring can swap the storage out for a regular rack if I was doing property work.

    I have a 2020 CF Moto 600T. It came with a bunch of stuff, cost a lot less and I like it way better than my son`s 2019 Polaris Sportsman 570...the 570 is a beast of a machine but I`m spoiled by my rig. My son has water in the beltbox problems occasionally but I don`t have to deal with that. We`ve had to fix a few things on his like a failed brake line in the rear. • @JimboP-Outside
      @JimboP-Outside  3 роки тому

      They actually went right on per the directions. I'm not sure why Polaris says on their website that you can only have the hand guards or the mirrors because it's not true, you can have both without modification and per their own instructions. The mirrors just wrap around the handle bars like on a regular bicycle. The right hand guard attaches to the bottom of the throttle housing, while the left hand guard attaches to the clamp that holds the brake handle on the handlebars. In both instances Polaris supplies the hardware necessary to screw into on each item on each side.

    As a 2006 Sportsman 700 owner, mine is a beast and still runs great. A team mate of mine just got a '21 570 and I was incredibly disappointed. That front rack flipped up is junk, it now seems to be held on by a couple of plastic pins. It has a huge void where the rear storage was left out, he paid around 11K! On the first day running it after delivery the clutch shredded the belt and now its back at the dealer.

    • @JimboP-Outside
      @JimboP-Outside  2 роки тому

      Sorry to hear about your teammate’s machine. I agree with you about the front rack, seems to only be decent when closed. And I still don’t understand why they removed the rear storage just to leave a gaping hole…..unless of course, to save themselves a few bucks. • @JimboP-Outside
      @JimboP-Outside  2 роки тому

      Yes, you’re right. One of my points was that relocating the battery, although much more convenient, doesn’t keep it out of the weather. And if you’ll notice, everything inside the rubber stripping is wet as well. That’s the section that Polaris calls “dry storage.” It isn’t dry, not at all. Every single ride I’ve gone on, just trails, one puddle and in the water goes. This is not “dry storage” and should not be referred to as such. Polaris has even installed drainage plugs inside this so-called “dry storage” area in order to let the water out.

    Getting rid off the rear storage/toolbox was a dumb move, no doubt.

    You forgot to mention that polaris chooses to use the cheapest bushings they can find along with cheap wheel bearings that all will need replaced within the first year if you ride regularly.

    For 9G. It should be dry storage!

      Totally agree. If Polaris says it’s dry storage, then it better be dry!!

    The storage is dry just your battery is not sealed

    • @JimboP-Outside
      @JimboP-Outside  3 роки тому +1

      Agree, the battery is exposed. But the storage is not dry. While there’s a rubber seal that surrounds the storage, the lid has a gap in the center area closest to the pod. Every time I’ve run my machine through the trails, I come home with water in there.

      @@JimboP-Outside good to know thanks for the update. Yes the battery up high i like. that is definitely better than the old 570s by the diff

    Sounds like you had more hates then loves. I have a 19 and I love mine

      I don’t think so. It’s just that the hates are very specific and easily identified. In fact, for 2022 Polaris fixed most. So it’s not just me.

    The downside to Polaris AWD is that you can't have it anytime unless left on. It won't engage unless your under 3k rpm, and even then it seems to only be around 18kmh or less. So if you need it going 50kmh/30mph, ain't happening.
    That being said, otherwise I thinks it's the best or a very close second to a typical 4x4 with locker.

      I have a 2012 polaris 500ho, 2014 Polaris Sportsman 850 HO (wifes), and a 2021 Polaris Sportsman XP 1000 trail. All of which certainly engage awd above 3000 rpm. We would never make it through a mud hole otherwise lol. And they are deep and I've had my 1000 spinning ties at 50-60mph in deep thick mud with 31in system 3 XM310 and it definitely was spinning all 4. Something must be wrong with your machine if it's not working

    • @EC_ATV_Outdoors
      @EC_ATV_Outdoors Рік тому

      @@extreme4kgaming266 Polaris states it won't engage unless under 3100rpm. Which isn't very high and with the engine braking, your basically fairly slow.
      Nothing is wrong with my sportsman and it's the same on both the 2020 HL and 2021 touring.
      It also won't disengage until the rear tires regain traction.
      I don't know what your doing, but mine do exactly as Polaris states. And it has not and will not engage at speed because of this. I love the AWD, but the lack of engagement in a pinch means plan ahead.

      All 3 of my machines work the same. It isn't recommended to turn it on with rear wheels spinning freely it says that in the manual but then again you can kiss any transfer case goodbye if you do. But it most definitely will work above 3100 rpm.

    Rather go with an older version. I don’t trust electronic 4x4 switches. Would rather have a lever to mechanically engage the 4x4. But thanks for your review.
