Great video, we are considering going this way.
How tall is this? Does it fit in a garage?
Well, I sure loved your tour. Might be a little small for the wife and me. Great video. Thanks so much.
How big is the black water tank?
Love this video! You explained this in terms I can understand. I’d love to know how you manage your water and bathroom resources when you’re out in the boonies.
Love it, I specifically liked the idea of grabbing a beer when the rain is coming down, why not enjoy it !!
You are a funny dude may your travels be fun.
When you plug in your Bluettie, does it charge up the in house battery as well as allow you to use the 110 plug ins?
Hi Steve hope you’re doing well. I’m hoping to get on the road by the end of July going to be heading out your way maybe get together have a beer or two.
Tell me what roof maintenance must be done on this tab to prevent leaks. Most campers I have seen requires too much work to prevent leaks. What year is this tab
The latest on keeping your LiFePO4 lithium batteries alive for their longest time is to only charge them between 40% to 80 or 90%, so I just use a standard Iota battery charger, and charge my 100 amp hour to 14.2 volts most of the time. I can charge it to 14.6 volts if I want, but I'm experimenting with the lower voltage idea. With a lead acid battery, you could always charge it fully at a lower voltage of say 13.8 volts, but it would just take longer. I think lithium batteries are similar.
Did you get rid of the Runaway? Just wondering.
Having the camper smell bad is not a problem when it smells like bacon
Hey! That rig looks familiar. LOL
I subbed. Very good job. I just retired and plan to or hope to buy a 320 or some sort small rig for my wife and myself. SO getting simple knowledge now and looking to follow your adventures .... thankyou sir
Thanks for watching! Good luck with your search for a small rig for 2. If buying used, which I recommend, try for a pre-covid build, 2020 or earlier.Happy Camping!!!
I just love your videos!!! What a great help they are to us 320S owners!
Thanks for watching! So glad you enjoy my videos and find them helpful. I love this little camper and I'm just getting started so stay tuned. Happy Camping!!!
I absolutely love all your wonderful suggestions for your TAB 320! I just bought a 2015 TAB 320S, and would love to be able to not depend on shore power and a lead acid battery. Can you use your "loveable lu" in the bathroom itself? I've also been interested in finding a way to avoid filling up the black tank. How did you fasten your flexible solar panels? Would you have a link for those nice solar panels?
Beautiful part of the country!! Can't wait to get out there!! Added it to my bucket list!
So this national park is literally named "Dumb National Forest". 🤨
Actually, I *do* try to read the instructions when and where possible…. Advancing age (64) on top of life-long Disabilities are making it harder, though…
Your shoebox is cute 😊
Nice upgrades. Just a suggestion if you have not replaced the vent fan with a 10 speed Maxxair. On the lower settings you can hardly hear it, and uses very little battery power. The one that came with the 320 is so noisy even on the lowest setting. There is also a rain sensor that closes it auto. I would change it for peace and quiet. You will also need to upgrade your power/breaker panel to be lithium compatible otherwise you will get only about 80% charge to your house batteries since it was only meant to charge Gel, AGM, and Flooded. Just search for WFCO WF-8740-AD Converter/Charger W/ Distribution Center, 40A, Auto Detect, 6 Circuits. Cheers!
Hi Steve u doing ok.
Thanks for checking in on me kind sir, yes I’m doing fine. Life keeps throwing me curve balls but I should be swinging for the fences very soon. Hope you’re doing well!
Any thought on a comping oven
I have a similar setup. I just got a Bluetti AC240. Its has a 30 amp connection so I don’t need the adapter. I’ve been driveway testing. Can’t wait for real life use. Love your setup.
The AC240 should run your entire camper, I think you’ll love it! Happy Camping 🏕️
Wow. A tv in every room! I have an older model 320 S. Being able to stand up is great. Glad you are enjoying it. Great shoebox tour!
Love this little camper! Thanks for watching 🏕️
You look good for 71. Good job.
Thanks for the positive vibes, camping keeps us young! 🏕️
Great video! I’m getting a 2023 tab 320 boondocks…had the same idea to use a bluetti AC180…and will drop a battle born lithium in front…wondering if the bluetti will top off the rv battery while it’s plugged into the 30amp receiver.
You’re going to love that little camper. My lithium is always full from my solar panels but I will be camping in the forest tomorrow with lots of shade so I’ll test it out and get back to you! Thanks for watching!🏕️
Great video. Glad you are enjoying it!
We have a 2019 320 that we Boondock in for several days at a time too. With a few modifications for off road, we can get to very remote locations. We utilize a portable Zamp 95w solar panel which allows us to place the trailer in the shade when available. We are both fortunate to have the 3-way refrigerators that we can run on propane. BTW, Trailer manufactures like NDC (probably our next trailer) and XPlore mount solar above their roofs on a frame. Solar panels are far more efficient at dissipating heat with air rather then a roof directly below them. Keep enjoying the desert with your T@B !
Wonderful to see your solar setup and to see you enjoying peace and quiet 🙌 🤩 Happy trails!😊
Thanks for watching 🏕️
Hi Steve hope your doing well
Still alive and kicking, thanks for the positive energy! I should be back in action soon 🏕️
Have you tried the Echoflow wave 2 It’s designed to cool and heat small places on 12v dc
Thanks for the tip, now I’m curious!
Nice video! You guys had a good adventure! Happy trails!😊
Good work.
Great video.
Great work Steve.
Thanks for the positive feedback!
@myshoeboxadventures looking for more videos, everything okay?
Way to keep it simple, Stephen.
Simple is good 😊, thanks for watching 🏕️
Another great video
CRY BABY !!!
Love your upgrades! I have two 100ah lithium batteries in my 2022 Tab 320s, too. I’ve never ran the batteries out! I also have a jackery 500w and an additional 100w solar panel. Powering the a/c without being plugged in is a mod for future technology. Happy camping.
A great tour! They are really great campers! I own a 2022 Tab 320s. You can splay your hand out to move the porthole window cover open/close in the bathroom. There are several users who use bags in the existing toilet. Look forward to following your travels.
Thanks for watching Charlie, yes I love this Camper, I’m camping right now! Congrats on your 2022, they really are the perfect size with everything I need to be comfortable. Maybe I’ll see you down the road. Happy Camping 🏕️
Hey Steve did you sell your Runaway ?
No, I was hoping to hang onto it but probably not practical. Soon I will list all the upgrades and extras some Happy Camper will be getting with this wonderful little camper!
Thanks for replying. I like the fact that it can fit in a garage.
Hey ... how long does a butane bottle last? On low probably
On high about 4hours, I’ve used mine at least 10 times to warm my camper and once to take a shower, it was cold and rainy outside, and I’m still using the original butane but keep in mind I never leave it on high. I need to do more testing but so far I’m glad I gambled and got it! Price seems to vary and ebay seems a little cheaper but if you want one shop around. I paid about $75 on Amazon. Hope this helps! Happy Camping 🏕️
I have a Kovea mini lantern and it works great. They have good products
Another great adventure and video
Larry and I had a great time on this trip And we're both looking forward to the next trip
Glad you guys had fun, always great to get the band back together! Summer is here so time to head north to cooler temperatures. Hope you can join me in the near future! 🏕️
Are you talking about the camper converter? My understanding is most converters in rv’s are built for lead acid
Yes, older converters are built for lead acid but they will charge your lithium up to 75 to 80 %. If you have solar panels and the sun is out they will charge the rest of the way to 100 %. I changed out my converter to one which charges lithium to 100 % so I’m covered in most situations. Thanks for watching and Happy Camping 🏕️
I think you made the right decision for ultimate happiness!! Going to the bank made it happen, and it will eventually go away and be paid for. I am in the same boat; these are not cheap price or quality wise. Thumbs up!! Great setup, I look forward to your adventures, don't worry about the editing, the video quality is most important, and yours look spectacular!!!
Nice video! I have a 2017 TAB 320 and was wondering how you are connecting the CIGS solar panels to your battery. Going through roof? tub? Thank you.
Thanks for watching, great question. Wires went in just above the drivers side tail light. That is the side where the charge controller, fuse box, converter are located . I didn’t do the work myself, way above my skill level! Hope this helps, Happy Camping 🏕️
Great idea. I like the simplicity of how you handle the power needs. I assume when you plug in the Bluetti to your RV you would turn off the breaker to the RV's charger, so it doesn't drain it unnecessarily.
Thanks for watching and the great comment. When I killed my lead acid battery I tried the Bluetti trick to get out camping while I thought about what to do. I didn’t turn off any breakers and didn’t notice any large drain. Since I installed lithium & extra solar I only use the Bluetti when I need 110v to work in the camper. My solar is working so well my batteries are always full so again, no drain but now I want to try again when the batteries are not 100%. Thanks again, I will never stop learning, Happy Camping 🏕️
