I live in Lake Havasu and I have never been to the campground. It was so beautiful but it doesn’t surprise me. Lake Havasu is not only gorgeous but clean. Thank you for portraying LH as it is.
Hi Steve, I just want to say this was a great and informative video about Cattail Cove State Park. I’m planning to be in Utah in June which I added Cattail Cove to my itinerary. I’m not as equipped as you are but I plan to tent and car camp. As warm as it will be warm, I do own a tent a/c which it will help. I’m looking forward in staying there and thank you for sharing 👍.
Thanks for watching and for all your positive comments! I think you’ll love Cattail Cove and the tent AC might be just what the doctor ordered, Happy Camping 🏕️
Thanks Austin! I agree 100 percent, Great People, Great Time and can't wait to do it again! I like your idea to get together on the Rim later this summer. I think some of this group would like to join in. Might even see some new faces. let me know if I can help you put something together. RCO Western Late Summer on the Rim Rally has a nice ring to it.Thanks again Austin, until next time, Happy Camping!
Have you given any thought about making a video about towing the Runaway Camper? I know it's fairly simple but it could make for an interesting video for newbies who have never had a camper before.
One tip for you is how to back up one. Put your hand on the BOTTOM of the steering wheel and turn it slooooowly in the direction you want the camper to go. Back up SLOWLY. If it isn't right, no shame in pulling ahead just a bit and backing again, sloooowly. Did I mention slowly? Use both of your side mirrors always! It does not take much movement of the steering wheel to get a big change of how much the camper changes direction. These little campers will jackknife on you very quickly. So slow is the name of the game.
Laura, it was great to meet you and I hope we can plan another Rally in the next 6 months or less. Can’t wait to get this group together again. Until then, Happy Camping!
Nice video !! Love the setup with the rear Napier tent !!Are you able to swing the Cool Camp rear door open with the Napier SUV tent fully attached ? It looks like the rear door might clobber the tent.....just curious !!!
Gerard, thanks for watching! Yes, I like to leave the door open when I sleep for better ventilation and if it’s cold when I wake up I can turn on my buddy heater, get back in bed while the tent heats up! Check out my other videos for a better look. Happy Camping !
If I'm going to be gone for a while I like to stay at State Parks since most have hookups of some kind and showers. I have plans to travel through Arizona on the way back home in the middle of October. I'll be coming down from the Page area and exiting with a stop at Chiricahua National Monument before I leave. Petrified Forest and Saguaro National Park will be in the mix. Any suggestions for a "Fellow Senior Solo Camping Dude" with a Runaway.
WOW!! sounds like a Great Trip!! One of my favorite areas is anywhere off of forest road 300 above Payson. Check out my videos, Camping Alone, Camping in the Rain or Boondocking on the Mogollon Rim. If you need hookups and showers, try to make a reservation at Woods Canyon Lake! This area is not too far from Petrified Forest. Thanks for Watching and Happy Camping!!!
@@myshoeboxadventures Thanks. That area looks beautiful. I know why you say your a happy camper with those great views. I did a bit of research and I might be a little late though since the season ends in September the best I can tell. I might go with Catalina or Lost Dutchman SP if you have an opinon on either of them.
Thank you for your kind words. Finally got out last month and did pretty well. Planning to jump back in next week so hopefully I can pick up where I left off and get the Adventures going again. Until then I’m wishing you Happy Holidays and Happy Camping 🏕️
Debra, thanks for watching! That is the Napier Backroadz SUV Tent. Having a 10x10 room attached to the back of my camper makes life easier, especially when the weather is wet or cold. It also holds up well in the wind which was a nice surprise. Hope this helps. Happy Camping 🏕️!!!

Thanks for another fun filled video!
Safe travels
Welp!! I bought one. A Range Runner… should be ready here by the beginning of June…. Hope to see you out there!😊
Welcome to the Runaway Family! June is right around the corner and I always like seeing other Runaway’s in the wild. Happy Camping 🏕️

Grate video as always we definitely need to get together soon
I've been looking forward to this video. It was so nice to meet everyone. It will be great to get together more often.

You should use a ‘49’50’51 shoebox Ford!
You mentioned the world's largest cat box which made me wonder if there are any cougars in that area at any time. They'd certainly use the "cat box".
