- A couple of weeks go I talked about the 5 things I hate about my skoolie conversion after living in it for 3 months. That video wasn't the easiest to make, so this week I decided to make it easy and talk about the 5 things I love about my bus build. Hey Matt, I have been following you for a while, definitely through your whole bus build. By the way, I think Leah is a keeper for sure. My bus is a 2004 Chevy Exp 3500 6.0 L Vortec Gas engine with 6 windows also. I am still building mine, bc I'm a disabled Vet and 66 yrs old, and I've never done anything like this, but have always been up to trying anything, like going into the Army right after graduation, during the Viet Nam War. I was looking for a 5 or 6 window bus also, I thought the 4 windows with wheel lifts were going to be too hard for me to take out, so went with this. I like the divider walls. My layout is different, with my bed running the other way and the bathroom next to it and both are at the back of the bus stopping at the wheel wells. Anyway, I will be using your videos for info on building out the bus. Thanks for sharing

I could go back and forth on the wall. It looks a little less functional in videos, like something I could easily bump into a lot. Maybe I’m just clumsy. Lol. If I were to do it, maybe not have them stick out as much and make them flush with the counter top length. And when you think about tiny I initially think of trying to keep it as open as possible. But you did do an amazing job! It looks good when you first walk in and look back from the front, and I do like how the walls help hide all those electronic components. It also doesn’t waste a lot of space. It wouldn’t make sense in maybe let’s say an extended Chevy cargo/pass van. But your bus is the right length and height where you have the room to make a divider wall work. Really well done!

You could eliminate the wet feet problem by getting a bamboo or teak mat for the bathroom. Just take it out when you take a shower, then put it back in. That way if the floor is wet you'll be stepping on the mat. And since those types of mats are an open pattern, the floor will still dry.
Fantastic build!! Like you said, you are the one who lives in the bus. Building it to suit yourself was the best decision!

Commenters are crazy, I love the walls diving your space! Love how you are able to tuck items behind that wall for your controls. Genius I might add! Plus I would think at the foot of the bed it would be a good place to stow items out of sight!
Nice! I like the separation walls. Personally, I would cut off the overhangs but, that's just me.

People don't like your divider walls? I always thought they were a cool practical feature.
Are you going to fix the outlets
what's wrong with the outlets? I am considering 12 volt outlets only and using adaptors for electrical as needed, for example as usb units change I can just change the adaptors. I like that he has electrical outlets throughout the bus.
