BS! Ibuprofen does jack squat for pain. Advocate for yourself. At least back in the day they put you under. No we are expected to just take it. F that! Deny deny deny this procedure. There are better ways that cause less pain. I'm really surprised women in the medical field push for this and not against.

How does 0.35 Norethindrone help regulate periods for someone with PCOS? ie: make it a 28 day cycle rather than 6-8 week cycle untreated.

I took an 800 Motrin and a Xanax before my procedure. It still hurt like hell. An otherwise healthy woman should have the option for general anesthesia, making it less painful in the moment, allowing the doctor to get plenty of sample tissue. As it was, my doctor had to cut it short and “hope” it was enough.

I have a friable vagina and had to be put out in hospital for the procedure. It was too painful in the doctor's office. It's a day after and still a lot of pain and still bleeding. My instructions are to rest at least a week. Is that normal? I didn't think it would still be this painful.

In the UK it is now illegal to do office biopsies, OMG, the pain was unimaginable, don't ever tell anyone it doesn't hurt. Worst pain in my entire life!. Greetings All, I had one done two years ago and another one last week with a camera. Thankfully my results where fine both times. Yes it is a bit painful. I would suggest if it is unbearable pain have them stop the procedure and have it rescheduled in a hospital so you can receive some form of anesthesia. We have to be advocates for ourselves, that is an option make sure you discuss that with your doctor or whoever will perform the procedure. Please know you can make them stop!

This procedure should not be done without anesthesia. Why put women through this? Seriously its not ok. I was crying, soaked in sweat and cursing. It felt like being violated and medieval torture style. Do not have this done without anesthesia. The "cramping" is not cramping. F'ing horrible.

I had mine done today, i've read all the horrible reviews on youtube and how painful it is, i had been freaking out thinking no in hell i would've been able to have it done. Well let me tell you IT DID NOT HURT!! Everyone is different, i took ibuprofen 800mg 1 hour before the procedure and all i felt was just as a regular pap smear, there was pressure felt when the doctor did 3 suctions out but it was just that pressure and almost like a slight skin pull. I think if you think about pain and get tense yes i can see how it can hurt but beleive me to me it did not hurt, i've had painful cramps but i was surprise how this procedure was quick and done. I have had 3 normal deliveries so i think for women who've had children is less cramping.

Just had this done a couple weeks ago. I was super nervous about the pain. I took 800 mg of ibuprofen before to hopefully help. In all honesty, it didn’t hurt at all. I felt some cramping on one side, but very little, if any pain. The next few days, I had some bleeding like a light period, and that’s it. No cramping after the procedure. If you are nervous about having this procedure, I hope your experience will be like mine was.

Ive had two in my life. The firdt one was absolutely terrible. Thr second one was yesrs later but done recently. The gynecologist prescribed a skngle dose of high analgesic - Oxycodone (not Oxycontin....dont worry) to take one hour before and then a single dose of Naproxen tp take 30 monutes before. This second procedure with the pain meds was "better" but I still slid up the table trying to get away from her, felt nauseous and started sweating. Felt very dizzy and had to go straight to bed once home. I was apologizing to her for trying to slide off the exam table buty body just reacted to the pain. She was great in talking me through it but its the going through the cervix that stoll took my breath away witg the pain, then getting the sample just felt terrible. I wanted to cry from the wave of cramping pain that sweeps over you. She told me adter it eas done that many people need to be put out or go inder sedation to get this procedure done. I dod not know that was an option, but having it done twice now, woth and without oain meds, I would opt for sedation in the future. This is a procedure and there is no shame in asking for tbis to be comfortable. I am actually shocked this person kn the video is saying kts basically not a big deal. No woman i know who's had this done had a good experience. All found it very painful and all were told by doctors that it would nust be "mildly crampy". My gynecologist was the first doctor to actually be honest about the discomfort and offer anything to help.

I just had a biopsy done and WOW 7/10 pain level. It’s been 3 hours and it still hurts quite a lot and there has been bleeding. I was warned but I thought, “I’m a tough chick, I can handle a few cells being scraped.” No, no I cannot. Get the anesthetics.

Does this procedure only tell you if a tumor or cancer is in that one sampled spot though? That's what another doctor's video says. He recommends other ultra sound with fluid procedure instead.

For HRT I have a uterus I’m on an estrogen patch, but for my progestin , I am taking the mini pill Lyza, .35 mg a day. I hope that’s enough for menopause, I’m 53. Is Lyza okay? They are not giving me anything else, pills or topical.

Hello! I have a few questions but for that I need to explain what is happening to me on the bc pill . In Jan/Feb 2022 I started on the combibed one and I was getting 2 periods a months so, after 7.5 months a switched to Ceracette. I expected it to mess around a bit with my period but it is Sept 23, (a year and a week since I switched) and I experienced the following since January (giving it 3 months of messing around with my body without worrying about it): January: started my period during the last week and lasted for 2 weeks. No periods til mid May: 2 weeks of bleeding, pain and lots of water retention, pimples. This was the same in June, July, August and NOW (started my period on the 4th and it is 19th). I change my REGULAR tampon every 3 hours and it is normally soaked. I see the clots. I am really bloated and have a lot of water retention. I need to pee at least 2 times in the middle of the night thus I cannot sleep well. I have vivid dreams, I am sore. I dream all the time about going to the loo and not being able to release the urine. I ended up ordering the menstrual cup because I was spending a lot on sanitary products. I also had headaches during this month. 1st question: why do I have to suffer like this after a year? 2nd question: why when it seems to be almost over, after 2 days I start a new period? (I know this is always happening because I am still in pain and a lot of water retention) 3rd question: what is going o in my uterus to have this much amount of tissue to release? 4th question: why do I still need to take ibuprofens? 5th question: why do I experience water retention when in theory it is caused when the levels of progesterone decrease? I have always experienced water retention and pimples too. I started taking BC pills because I was having up to 3 weeks of PMS (including very sore breasts). The meds don’t work. I just had one done last week.. pain is what I felt. Then they called me today the ( Nurse practitioner ) and she said I have to repeat the biopsy and that she wants an MD to do it, not her. What the heck! This is crazy!

You are not being honest taking medicine before does absolutely nothing. It's very painful. I took 800 mg ibuprofen plus I have perscription pain medicine I took an hour before and none of it helped. I felt every horrible minute. There is no reason why a woman should have to do something this painful without anesthesia. It's horrible procedure.
