🧿 mindset and pregnancy…deeply important and inextricably linked…
💙your outcome will be radically altered by it (much as I say, as in life)
‼️yes that sounds dramatic (or so I’m often told by my kids when I say such things;) BUT I believe it to be true in the depths of all I know…
💙this is NOT TO SAY that your “outcome” in labor will be Vaginal instead of abdominal during birth, NOR is it to say that it will go according to anyone’s “plan” outside of the baby even if your mindset is in the healthiest framework
💙it is to say that IF you can truly get your mind to a space of calm with an appropriate amount of knowledge armed WITHOUT a sense of needing to fight AGAINST things-the energy will improve and YOU will appreciate your outcome EVEN with whatever twists and turns come and EVEN when it doesn’t represent your “ideal” birth plan
💙because YOU are wise, and mature, and not unrealistic and YOU can actually CHOOSE to come into your labor process WITHOUT a dogmatic “this is how it’s got to go” (remember life? The one you’ve lived? Has it followed every detail of your plan? Probably not-and yet with a healthy approach it’s STILL been good, warts and all)
🧿so resist the urge to believe that YOU controlling things (that are not up to our control) is the PATH to a happy birth and help your mind with knowing that there are concrete things you CAN control (find a midwife/doc you connect with, eat well, stay active) and then set your sights on knowing the RESULT will be great DESPITE the journey following its own path-AND the journey will be THAT much more enjoyable if you’ve set your stage with the parts you CAN set…
