Gozney Arc XL & Booster Unboxing, Assembly and First Fire
In this video we unbox the newest oven from Gozney, the Arc XL in Off Black along with the booster. This oven was packaged great, and very easy to assemble. The Booster was also packaged very well and did require some assembly but is quite simple and only took about 10 minutes. Once we put the Arc on the booster we connected it to a propane tank and we were ready to fire it up! It started right up without any issues. We cured the stone by running it on low for a min of 30 mins prior to increasing the temperature. The front digital display looks great and is easy to read.
All in all I think the Arc XL is going to be a great oven and I look forward to getting a few cooks in on it, so follow along to see what we cook up in it in the next video!
Please let me know in the comments what you would like to see me do with it in future videos!!!

Thank you for the video. Do you have a picture of your smoking shed area? looks nice on the inside!
Thanks! Check out my grill shack video!! 🍻
what racks are you using there? They seem pretty heavy duty.
Pretty sure they are made by valley sportsman. They work great! 🍻
Great recipe. I have the same Traeger and do it a little differently. I do the butter, washyersister sauce, and a little hot sauce over a heat until its all melted, then cool. My dry rubs consist of pretty much the same with a little cayenne pepper (Love the Meat Church Holy Voodoo for sure). I then get a unscented large trash bag and mix all the dry together and then add the butter mix. Once its all covered and shiny, then I start adding the dry mixture in small batches and gently mixing in the trash bag. Once all done then I add to smaller foil trays so they cook faster and take more smoke. Since I like to do it at 250 degrees and the Traeger doesn't put out as much smoke at that temp, I add a smoke tube. I smoke each one for about 1.5 hours mixing every 15 minutes. After its done then I dust with a little of the dry rub I left out over it all. I make about 7 gallon bags each time. A little spicy and smoky treat that all my friends love.
Awesome! That sounds great! 🍻
Oh man am I excited to try this! Quick question do you think pre-made ground Italian sausage would work well?
I haven't tried doing that but I would say it is definitely worth trying!! 🍻
How much did the belly weight before curing ? Thanks. Looks good
Thanks! It was 5 lbs. 🍻
Thanks for the review. I'm between this and the Blackstone Adventure Ready 22" griddle that comes with the travel table on wheels. Same price but the Weber looks pretty sweet.
Thanks! Ya it is a great griddle, good size but I will admit it's fairly heavy (which is good) but that makes it a bit less portable to me if that's a factor but I would recommend it!
How’s charcole taste vs wood? Any way to save the coal?
I would say the charcoal burns cleaner and doesn't have as much of a "smokey" flavor as wood but charcoal still gives good flavor and also gives a longer, more consistent heat, while wood will get hotter and gives a flame for top dome heat. Charcoal can be saved if you cut out the air and seal it off and what's left can be used the next time (lump charcoal) 🍻
Nice work 👍…super easy..I’m in🇺🇸
Thanks!!🍻
Hey great review. Can't find that masterbuilt fryer. Can you drop a link? Or is it discontinued?
Thanks! Ya for some reason they don't advertise that unit anywhere online, I bought it locally in Canada and haven't seen it anywhere else. Might be discontinued? 🍻
Thats awesome
🍻
I recommend you get 2-3 new dried logs thrown on before the steaks go in. The dome will flame sear the top of steaks faster than that cast iron will
Ya for sure, good call! 🍻
It looked like you were pressing on the griddle top when leveling to check if it was level. Was there something in the instructions that mentioned that? I'd love to see a brand integrate some kind of level indicator into to these portable griddles.
No I don't believe it mentions a lot in regards to checking the level of it but it's very easy to adjust the legs by spinning them. It was so out of level on my table that it caused the griddle plate to rock but once again an easy fix. I believe the Halo griddles come with level indicators! 🍻
How much cure salt to add?
The easy ratio is 1 teaspoon cure to every 5 pounds of meat
Great video. I don't know if there was a record issue or an edit issue but the audio is louder on the left side compared to the right side.
Thanks for letting me know, I have no clue why that would have happened!? 🍻
Can't wait to see the new shack!
I'm excited for it!!🍻
Good luck with the shack rebuild
Thanks! I think I'm more excited for that than moving into a new home!! 🍻
The arc is dope man…🍕👍
Agreed!! 🍻
Hello. Does the front panel of the Dome that is used for baking bread also fit on the Arc? Best regards.
I guess its not working🤷🏻♂️
OK thanks.
I tried to fit it and it does not... 🍻
Great review!! Cheers from a fellow canuck 🇨🇦!
Thanks! Appreciate it!! 🍻🍁
This may be a dumb question, but how do you keep your griddle and smokers from getting wet during rain. Wonderful set up !!
All the grills under the roof in the shack don't really get any rain and the ones I keep outside of the shack have fabric covers to keep them dry. 🍻
about to build mine - this gives me some great ideas - cheers from England
Awesome!! 🍻
Excellent cook, I meal prep tacos all the time, I’ll definitely be using your recipe for the next batch. Here’s a question for everyone corn or flour tortillas?
Thanks! I went corn here but gotta admit I'm a flour guy!! 🍻
Very nice setup. I'm going to "borrow" some ideas from you. 👍
Thanks!! Appreciate it!🍻
That steaks looks fantastic! Cheers!
Thanks!!🍻
Happy Birthday 🎉 Excellent cook as always.
Thanks!! It was delicious!! 🍻

Machanic gloves! lol 😂 they make food safe gloves
These mechanics gloves came from a BBQ supply store...
Bro said 'not a ton of hot honey' proceeds to put a ton of hot honey 😅😊🔥
🔥🔥🔥
That looks delicious! One question - if you're Shane, who is Mac? ;D I have a 17" Blackstone e-Series & my roommate has an unopened 17" Blackstone gas griddle with a side burner. SUMMER IS COMING!
Haha Mac is my alter ego 😆 That's awesome!! Summer is close!!🍻
did you have to top up the charcoal at all during the baking, or did it last throughout the entire time ?
I believe I added a couple pieces near the end, but the dome is well insulated and holds heat great!🍻
Can this be done on a dehydrator
Yes, for sure!
Great channel man. Appreciate the info on this. New fan here. Cheers.
Thanks! Appreciate it!! 🍻
Wondering about transporting this for taking it on camping trips in my RV. Looks like a carrying case would be needed in order to keep from breaking the controls.
I haven't seen any carry covers for this model released yet. I will admit the 22" has a pretty large footprint compared to other griddles, the 17" model would likely be better for transporting if you don't need the larger cooking area.
This is one of two reviews I've seen so far. Looking to get this over the new blackstone portable griddle. I know it's stated the lid is not functional but wonder if it can actually be used, like for melting cheese faster. Don't know if the lids finish and material could take it. Thanks for the video.
Thanks! It's definitely more solid than the blackstone in my opinion. I would imagine the lid could be closed briefly during use to help melt cheese but not for extended periods. 🍻
@macsgrillshack yeah I hear you. I'm not saying anything is wrong with the blackstone equivalent but every time I physically go to a store to look at one the quality just doesn't do it for me. So I have to go with weber for that very reason.
Awesome, man! They both look great, lol. You should do more vids on the pbj, no one really has any videos on them.
Appreciate the feedback! I will!! 🍻
I finally find this one, i want to make it
Thanks! Enjoy!!
Did you build your shack?
Yes, I did. 🍻
Excellent cook! I have yet to do bacon, I just got a slicer so it’s about time. Thanks for the video and recipe.
Thanks! That's awesome, you definitely need to make some bacon then! 🍻
Nice video
Thanks! Appreciate it!!🍻

Gotta try smoking some chicken for pulled chicken!
Pulled chicken is great! Enjoy!🍻
Almost 40 dollars foe 12 sticks of meat online no thanks I'm trying this method.
Ya it's crazy what they charge, this is a very affordable way to make some jerky! Enjoy! 🍻
Excellent smash burgers! I’ll have mine with a side of bourbon.
Thanks! That's the best side!! 🍻
Could I mix the seasonings into the ground meat with a stand mixer with a dough attachment?
Yes, that would work well but just be careful not to go for too long or you will end up with an over emulsified meat like you make with hot dogs. Cheers
I already subscribed
Thanks! 🍻
You do a great job don’t know why you don’t have many subscribers keep up good work
Thanks! Appreciate it!! 🍻
