Rods. The sensitivity comes down to construction. A properly build telescopic rod will not hinder the feel. The bla ks of the Kaos rods are retained by direct contact between the grip and rod. Only a small portion of the inner rod makes contact with the inside of the handle. It is basically a 7'6" rod slid into a handle. Diawa, st Croix, G.lommis have cork material between the contact points. It makes contact for almost 8" of combinations. While Kaos only makes contact at one point for about 2". Before giving to much credit to kaos, thank early pre 2012 musky invitations. Because the slide out portion are bull dog blanks from prior to the sell-out. Compare them to the (new Vexan) rods.
Interesting. I would like to know more about some of the rod construction techniques. But in the hands, a one piece rod 'feels' better. Thanks for watching!
I don't know but I appreciate the video,credit deserved because in the heat of the repair to make it g rated because it's a family friendly show takes patients..my boat is under repair right now not getting fuel need a couple soap fittings

Nice job turning a slow start to the season into a great video that touched on all sorts of topics. Its also a nice touch to add the relatability of a slump to the channel, because that scenario is all too real for most, including on the shield. Audio sounded great. Glad to see more of the crew in the boat in this one. You have yourself a talented videographer/camera gal in the boat!

Opener has been a tough one. Luckily, the fishing will only get better as the season progresses.
I picked up a 10' XH stealth last season, it's a very nice stick!
So far, after a few days of fishing I really like the stealth rods. Hope things slowly turn around for us. I know it's early but feels like we are already in a slump....
@@54orbust you're not alone, overall report is that this opener has been off for many.
We had a tough week on Georgia bay. There was a fish survey crew in camp. One of them was a musky guy. I couldn't capitalize on his information.
He didn't have a gold& black bucktail., I gave him one I had fished. He caught a 42 on it that night.

We just have to keep grinding, even though that feels like it's not working. They will come...
For some the grind of Musky fishing is all we know😎. 54 or Bust is set for now and the future. Great video Glenn. I’m sure the Muskies are just scared of the new boat lol.
Well, been a tough start for a bunch of guys in the area. Unsettled weather and constant wind doesn't help. But things will settle in as we get into summer patterns in July.
Kaydi is the future of fishing / hunting in my family. It's gonna be fun to follow her adventures over the next few years!

Love the pro guide! I filled in the splashwell where I stand. Pretty much doubles the floor space back there
I plan on doing that as well, did you have to nice the fuel Iine? Not sure how to deal with that?
@@54orbust mine doesn’t have a fuel line like that. I stood a 2x4 on its side and a 2x6 on its side with 3/4 plywood. Slide the 2x back and forth to find the level spot. Grey outdoor carpet from Menards and can hardly tell it’s there. Friction fit, removable. I would just notch out a spot for the fuel line.

lol, two years in a row Dave has been in that tree! A couple years ago we stumbled across this spot and found a few big fish. They will be there again, and we will be ready!

Yep, Kaydi is the complete package, she's a mini me and mini Kyla, she loves the outdoors and loves being part of 54 or Bust!
I can't say that I ever noticed an audio problem with your past videos. The new mics are excellent, however.

Quit apologizing for not catching fish. We know what that's like. I started muskie fishing because I thought that if I was going to spend all day not catching anything, then I would fish muskies and not catch the biggest fish in the lake. Believe me, some of the fish I haven't caught were dang big, too.😂
