Quick Tips for Waterfall Photography | Canon M6 Mark II
Here are my quick tips for what you need in order to get good waterfall photos with the Canon M6 Mark II. Join me on a short hike to Taranaki Falls in Tongariro National Park, New Zealand.
This is probably my last video on waterfall photography for a while but be assured if there is running water down some rock I will find it. Meanwhile I've had some big changes which you will all find out about soon, unless your following me on Instagram in which cane you probably already know.
Anyway if you read these descriptions at all then thank you and I hope you enjoy this vlog.

    • @RustyRoj
      @RustyRoj 21 день тому

      You’ll have to open it up and tighten the hex screw holing in the spring. If the screw just spins then I’m afraid it’s threaded and you’ll either need a fatter screw or fill the screw hole with some glue and drill and thread it after that cures.

      @@RustyRoj sorry it's a different part for me - let's say the phone is orientated landscape - what happens is it will rotate or tilt too easily (without me touching it) depending on how I'm operating it, so I need to free up my hand to twist it back in a desirable position - not the same part you are referring to. my problem resides in the 'floating joint' right after the arca mount piece. Very hard to explain - but I've seen others with this issue and there doesn't seem to be anything that can be done but it's very frustrating.

    Thank you bro. Can I mount this on Dji Action 4?

    • @RustyRoj
      @RustyRoj 4 місяці тому

      It just uses a hot shoe mount like one one the top of a camera or a standard 1/4” screw like you get on tripods so if the DJI Action has either of those your fine otherwise you may need some type of small rig cage for the DJI that will accommodate it.

      @@RustyRoj Is a speed booster going to work with the EF-S lenses?

    • @RustyRoj
      @RustyRoj 5 місяців тому

      @@Aviator168 because they are apsc lenses you don’t need a speed booster. You only need a speed booster for full frame lenses. To adapt efs lenses to the EFM mount you will still need an adapter though, just not a speed booster. The speed booster will work but you may have vignetting on the corners like using an apsc lenses of a full frame camera

    • @Aviator168
      @Aviator168 5 місяців тому

      @@RustyRoj Got it. One thing I don't get is why is Canon still producing -S version of the lens for RF mount since the crop factor still applies for APS-C sensors, except for cheaper and lower quality reasons. BTW. I use an old M3 camera. Except the kit lens, I only bought EF lenses.

    • @RustyRoj
      @RustyRoj 5 місяців тому

      @Aviator168 I guess in the end it’s just to provide more affordable lens options for those with apsc cameras. Even though it’s a false economy if you ever upgrade to full frame

    Fantastic review, very tempted by this. I currently have the KF BA225, I do like the fact the centre column can collapse down and that you can also convert it to a monopod which came in a handy a few times, it also has a bit more working height, but it is 160g heavier: - K&F BA225: 35cm folded, 152cm max height, 8kg load capacity, 1013g carbon fibre, converts to monopod - Sirui Traveler 5C: 33cm folded, 138cm max height, 4kg load capacity, 850g carbon fibre - Aoka CMP163: 37cm folded, 71cm extended, (138cm with extension pole), 2.5kg load capacity, 500g carbon fibre

    I have used Pixelmator Photo on my 5th gen iPad Air for quite a while and am an early adaptor. I love the application and am using it to clean up around 8 thousand scanned photos from out family's old photo albums. There are, however, a couple of things that frustrate me that are more a flaw of Apple Photos on the iPad but wish Photomator could fix. The two items I miss that prevent me from being able to use the iPad as my complete editing device/application is the lack of support for smart albums and the inability to enter/edit metadata (in particular dates, keywords and locations). I really enjoy editing photos on my iPad and the freedom it gives me and these two missing items prevent me from using the iPad as my complete photo editing platform. Consequently, I am forced to do a lot of my editing on my Mac using Pixelmator Pro or Photomator. My library is now over 25,000 photos so I extensively rely on using smart albums and keywords to filter photos into smaller, manageable chunks. Currently, in order to edit photos on the iPad, I copy the photos from a smart album that I created into a regular album that I then use in the iPad. When I have finished edit them there, I go back to the Mac and in the Photos app enter keywords, locations, names, captions, etc.

      Do you mean the screws to open it up? If you peel back the rubber there are 4 small screws you need to undo. Then the main screw is a small Allan key.

    if that's the lens you are using for self blog here, best to go down to 16. 18 not wide enough.

      You’re right, the 16mm I start the video using is a much better vlogging lens given it’s wider angle but if you can only carry one lens and need a good amount of reach while still being able to vlog, I still feel this is a good choice. Especially for the price.

    I’ve been looking to find the best lens for portraits and street photography. I’m new to all of this but I’d like to get away from the standard lense. I do already have commlite adapter with a 50mm lens

      In terms of carry around lenses with a decent reach then I love my 18-135 for this. The bokeh isn't the best with its high f-stop if you are shooting people but sometimes you need to make small sacrifices to simplify your set up.

    hi sir, what is your opinion for EF-S 18-135mm STM or EF 24-105 F4. i already have viltrox speedbooster for EF 50 F1.8. also I own M6 mark ii.

      I love my EF-S 18-135 but it really comes down to what you plan to shoot with in the future. If you plan to upgrade to full frame then maybe the 24-105 would be a better long term choice. Also the 18-135 won’t work properly with the speed booster. It just needs a regular adapter to work. Best of luck.

    Thanks for your review! I'm wondering what this lens is like compared to the Panasonic Lumix 9mm F/1.7 LEICA? What is the difference between F2.8 and F/1.7 ? Is one better than the other is shooting in low light? I ordered the panasonic one 2 months ago and all the webshites say its out of stock and waiting for it to be sent to them from panasonic, really sloppy!! Anyway ye just wonted to know cos I'll maybe need a refund and get the Laowa asap if this continues

      With this focal length I find I’m usually pushing towards f4-f5.6 rather than more open. I don’t see much of an advantage to push it lower than f2.8

    The more videos I watch about this camera, the more it grabs my heart. There is just something extremely unique about the photos and video footage I have seen. I have been blown away. Just beautiful! Look forward to getting it soon.

    The ecology walk was great. We saw a bellbird, saddleback, kereru perched a few feet away, takahe, and a white head. It also wasn't hot! Beautiful bush to walk through.

      Its such a great place to explore. If you get the chance to camp there, you are likely to see Kiwi at night too.

    What's your favorite wide angle manual focus lense

      Easily my 9mm Laowa. It’s just such a unique field of view that opens you up to interesting compositions. Otherwise, I really do enjoy shooting with a 24mm.
