Economic Sabotage: The abrupt delisting of my entire library has had severe financial implications, suggesting intentional harm to my economic stability. Such actions can incur substantial fines and imprisonment, varying based on the impact. Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress: The emotional toll of these actions is profound, potentially leading to penalties including significant fines and imprisonment. Wire Fraud: Tampering with organic algorithm rankings, as seen in my case, to interfere with fair competition can constitute wire fraud. This carries severe penalties, including imprisonment up to 20 years under federal law. Theft of Royalties: Misconduct with royalty payments indicates theft, with serious penalties including fraud and misappropriation of funds, both felonies with significant fines and long-term imprisonment. Whistleblower Retaliation: Retaliating against those who report illegal activities is prohibited and can lead to criminal penalties, including fines and imprisonment under federal whistleblower protection laws. Obstruction of Justice: Ignoring my grievances and refusing to communicate may be seen as an attempt to obstruct justice, leading to fines and imprisonment under federal law. Deceptive Business Practices and Breach of Contract: Accepting payment for advertising while delisting the advertised books is deceptive and breaches contracts, leading to substantial fines and legal actions. Entrapment: The process of using KDP can feel like entrapment, with unclear guidance leading authors to inadvertently violate guidelines. Using these violations as pretexts to terminate accounts and withhold royalties can have serious legal implications, including fines and imprisonment. Documenting all interactions meticulously and raising awareness among other affected authors about their rights and legal options is crucial. By standing together and reporting these practices to the FBI, FTC, and BBB, we can ensure that justice is served and prevent further harm to authors within the Amazon ecosystem. Just started exploring KDP business a week back. Found your channel as one of the most no-nonsense type. 1. Just starting out. First 2-3 books are going to be of not high quality. Should I target low competition niche to get some sales going by trying to get on Page 1? Also for the first 2-3 books, should I spend on Ads? I have limited budget. 2. CVR, CTR - these are specific to a book or to each keyword you use? Does the workflow you mention change for each keyword? 3. If you get 2-3 bad reviews upfront, can you go back and edit your book, and re-upload (not sure what's the right term) with the improvements, mentioning it on your cover - like improved version, or something like that?

In terms of acquiring proof for a brand, or that a book is established. What’s roughly the type of time scales that would be involved? Do you look at some combination of time and reviews, like X reviews in Y months means this is good for a brand to be expanded? Or something like that?

Sir quick question..Sir I have to bid more than 1.50 dollar for my genre and no way I can exceed than 1.00 dollar which is still less for bids.. bc my book price is 3.99$ and if I end up spending more than 1.50 i will.never ever meet my expenses..so what can I do .. without high bids keywords also fail ...😢

Hey Barry, the problem with color books is that you have to make them more expensive than the competition to have the same margin. But customers are sensitive to prices. If you made your full-color book at the same price as your competitors and accepted a lower margin, you wouldn't be able to compete in advertising. This is the dilemma that I have (and I think many other self-publishers too). Another problem is that you are competing against conventional publishers who can produce and sell more cheaply, who may have spiral binding, hard covers, bookmarks, etc. at a price that you cannot keep up with.

Have I missed something? What are the actual strategies in each phase? I understand the three phases and how important they are, but I didn't see/hear any explanation as to what the strategies themselves actually are. Is it just meant to mean that you launch ads three different times rather than just doing one and hoping for the best?

Brilliant video! Thank you for explaining the process. Quick question though - you discuss the importance of reviews, but how do you get those reviews? It's a bit of a catch 22; you need reviews to make sales, but you need sales to get reviews. Also, regarding keywords, could someone clarify something for me? So, the term 'keywords' seems to be used for different purposes; does it refer to the keywords you would use when setting up a manual campaign? Or do keywords refer to the ones you add in the back end when creating your book listing on KDP? Or both?

but we don't need to try the exact match and phrase if we have the same keywords. the broad match is enough

You forgot the MOST IMPORTANT moment: In order to write a review on Amazon, you have to have at least 50 USD spent in the last year. That way YOUR friends, family, etc. become useless. It's the same with Pubby. If you didn't spend 50 USD in the last year, you cannot review other people's books, so you will NOT get reviews.

I have an issue of block of my books by KDP.

I know the coco wyo colouring books and her instagram followers are really high so i dont think she is paying for ads...... and she has a lot of books so low content books work if u do it right.

do you only run ads to your paperback? What if your ebook earns royalties of $5, as well, wouldn't it help to run ads to that too?
